What exactly was wrong with Dead Space 3 plot-wise?
Seeing humanity be so utterly screwed was interesting to me. I was curious how they were going to resolve the situation. And even with a "the universe sucks" ending it fits given it's a sci-fi horror with an ugly, extinction-causing, necrotic species of alien monsters at the center of the plot. Seeing Isaac fall deeper into madness and hopelessness drove the plot forward.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Too much Sequel Escalation for me, as well as the overused last minute downer ending.
Well, that's just it, it didn't feel like they were going to resolve anything. It felt like they were giving a big middle finger to your expectations that there would be even a slightly happy ending. Nope, the human race is dead, just like every other alien species out there.
Like, there's a Downer Ending, and then there's a cruel ending.
Fair enough I guess. I think they just wrote themselves into a corner with Severed's ending but I was otherwise fine with it until we weren't getting an actual continuation.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).The dialogue in the early parts feel like they were ripped from a cheesy action movie, Ellie’s character was butchered into a Faux Action Girl who is seriously unlikable (“I’m leaving you because you have Severe PTSD. You should really just get over it.” “How dare you shoot my boyfriend after he just sold you out and was pointing a gun at your face after you just saved his ass.”). Not to mention the ending of Awakened that was a ginormous middle finger to the fans from EA because the game underperformed in sales.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?Gunner Wright is coming back to voice Issac in the remake.
The devs have clarified that this means Issac will speak in this game, however, they've set up rules for it so as to preserve the isolated feel of the original game: he only speaks when spoken to or when it would just be weird for him to remain silent.
Gotta say, it sounds like a fair compromise to me.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonDefinitely. Especially given how much of a character he turned into in 2 and 3. Him actually reacting to all of the bullshit happening is way better.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.
I actually played Dead Space 3 with low expectations and had a great time (though the first 2 are still better). The story sucked (especially Awakened’s ending) but I recently tried Co-Op with a friend and had a blast.
