Fallout: Nuka Break

A while ago, Zack Frinfrock (of Warbot in Accounting fame/infamy) decided to make a Fallout fan film. It was pretty popular, so they decided to raise money to make it into a series.

I really like the series so far. It looks like a lot of work has gone into it, and the actors do good jobs.

I discovered this months ago, back when my dad was actually playing Fallout. Not only was it very well done in all regards, it features one of the few cameos in anything ever that serious made me go "Oh my god that was him?!?" Not gonna spoil it if you haven't figured it out though. I'm surprised no one has remarked on it here.

Maybe it signifies that none of you are anime fans?...

Goes back and actually reads OP: Wait, they made it into a series?! Ok, I have to check this out. I only saw the original.

I also would like to note that the attention to detail is very suprising. So much little tidbits and designs would make fans of the games squee.

I have no idea who that is, so no, I didn't notice it. Who was he?

I did notice Doug Jones in the second episode, though.

Their channel also has a ton of behind-the-scenes stuff that's interesting.

Explains why I have no idea who he is. I do not, and will never, watch anime.

Doug Jones is very...distinctive looking. I wonder how they get all these great people...

But yeah, the attention to detail is amazing for what this is. (And what is is...is surprisingly well-equipped!)

Where is Vic Mignoga in this? I have no clue what he looks like.

He's the merchant in the original film. The one the group shoots at.

And then he's the narrator at the beginning of the two episodes.

I wonder where they film this...they found some great locations, I must say...

^^Judging from the fact that ep1 (i.e. the first ep in the series not the initial vid) was filmed in Goodsprings it seems like they've actually bothered to go all the way to the Mojave to film it. That's pretty darn committed.

Well, Frinfrock is from California, apparently. So it isn't that much of a trip.

Looks like we're getting some backstory on Ben. And they're probably all going to get in some trouble with the Legion soon...

Episode 3 was awesome. Giles told me Ben was an interesting character when he wasnt shooting things. Glad to see in what ways. Anyone find the Fallout2 reference awesome?

I think it's hillarious that an almost identical "Take a Nuka Break" sign to the Nuka Breaker was in the episode. Talk about timing, right?

Confirmed, Recursive canon. They put that sign in as a reference to the Nuka Breaker, went into a meeting with Obsidian and they said it was reference to Nuka Break.
