Good thinking by Leslie. Can't help but feel we're ramping up to something bad happening, though.
Is Leslie a professor or a grad student? Her being 26 feels way too young if she's a professor. (It also forces her to be younger than Robin, but that's more trivia than a concern.)
Leslie is only one year older than me?
That feels weird.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I don't know in the US, but around where I live, one could conceivably be a professor at 26, provided they really didn't take a break before getting their Masters Degree and got really lucky with landing a job at an university after that. I'm not sure whether the Leslie we've seen so far would fit that, though.
And yeah, weird to think of her as just one year older than me.
Since she's 26, as well as her course being Gender Studies, assuming she started College at the earliest 19, she'd have a 4 year degree by 23, and a 6 year degree by 25. This is likely either her first or second year she's been teaching.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches! Is she full time or is she just an adjunct professor?
Oh really when?I do have friends who are my and Leslie's age who are out and out proffesors, but that's here in the UK. don't know how it works across the pond.
Likely similar. Jason came to the states to study abroad and worked as a TA so presumably he was going into teaching, and he's only 21 right now, so if he's able to be a TA here in the States in order to become a teacher in the UK, reasonably he should be able to be one in the States too.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches! She could have started college at 18, depending on her birthday. If she was 17 when she graduated high school.
In the US, non-STEM Ph.D's tend to take significantly longer than STEM Ph.D's. I'd expect a Gender Studies Ph.D to take 7-8 years, which would make her graduate at age 29-30, and that assumes she graduates college at 22 and doesn't need to spend a year or two getting a Masters.
It is just above the threshold of "good" pizza. Which is a very low bar.
Fresh-eyed movie blogas someone who used to work at little caesar's- there is everything wrong with that pizza
[forum cryptid: it/it's]"Pizza"
Oh really when?I've worked at a Domino's and a Pizza Hut, and when I was at the Pizza Hut, the assistant manager told me he can't eat Pizza Hut anymore because he knows too much. I was just delivery and didn't work in the kitchen much at either store, and while I don't go back to the specific Domino's I went to because I have bad memories of the working environment, I still buy from both.
I think Little Caesar's is the one my father bought stock in and was able to go to the shareholders' meeting where they announced the changes he says ruined the food.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI'm so happy we're back to these two because I was legitimately going to strangle myself if we got one more strip of anyone but Dina crying over Becky's affection.
Edit: Awkward, I forgot to link the next strip.

Wh...?
...I don't want to defend Fox News, but this characterization of Blaine's relationship to it feels... wrong, built off a Manichaeism reality doesn't reflect. In the Bush era, things were different, but Fox today pushes back periodically against Trump, and Trump himself pushes back against the sort of person Toedad is.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.I'd like to point out they didn't actually mention Fox News. It could be any nutjob pundit.
Are there any networks in US specifically tied to and focused on the Christianity angle?
Christian Broadcasting Network does have its own 24 hour news channel, which does have a digital channel available out of Indianapolis.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Unrelated: off course a serial abuser like Blaine would like James Bond.
I would guess that Blaine doesn't typically watch any form of cable news; I wouldn't be shocked if he was mostly indifferent to politics or a "Keep politics out of my revenge against Amber" type.
Being older than Leslie now feels weird
