Double post for Zi-O 11: We were right!
Gaimkami has appeared and really seems to be using Forbidden Fruit's powers to mess with time and lecture Sougo on how to be a good king. And yeah, he caused the double Sougo thing and screwed up Woz's predictions real good. Maybe we will finally see major changes in the timeline? That makes sense if Gaim really is going to be the last Neo-Heisei arc in the series.

... And that's called jazz!tired: walk around in boring circles in an empty space to exposit
wired: freeze time in an avant-garde dance performance, then walk in loops to exposit
yeah Geiz has the higher ground against the Time Jackers, killing Sougo is a much more efficient solution to Zi-O becoming Overlord than having to micromanage whatever rando the Time Jackers have for fifty years.
can someone please explain to the showrunner what a time loop actually is
Based on the FORESHADOWING in previous episodes I can only assume Sougo's uncle is the key to patching this relationship
Seeing Woz off his game for once was neat.

Zi-O 11
Frankly it's nice that they changed it up a bit
Uh... quite a lot I guess.
Geiz and the Time Jackers teaming up is an interesting idea but lasted less than an episode
Never Surrender 10/10
These civilians are clearly not as into fights as the Gaim ones were.
11.5 shows some concept art for Zi-O's helmet, which is really cool. Looks like a lot of the designs went even harder on the clock face.
I really like that this episode does something different but people were already complaining about the time travel being confusing.
Just watched Amazons: Last Judgement. Not a perfect way to end the series, but also not too bad. Has anyone else here seen it?
Yeah, it was alright. The subs I found were not great so maybe do use TV-N on this one.
I remember people complaining that Neo and Neo Omega looked a bit too technical and Neo Alpha just goes even further down that line. I do like that there was an actual plot reason for him being called 'Neo Alpha' though.
The plot was alright - felt more like a 'and another thing' than just wrapping up loose ends but it did get most of them, most significantly Haruka and Jin's fight. Nothing really surprised me at all but the tone of this series is so dark already I don't know what could.
Not perfect, but I think much better than if they'd have tried to drag it out to a third season.
And because there's not much else to say - Over-Time hasn't finished Zi-O yet, think it's mostly because of Thanksgiving. There's a few fake downloads (well, the same one in a few different places) floating around.

Thanks for the heads-up about Amazons. Checked it out after you said it and just watched it.
And yeah, it was alright. I wonder if Season 2 would've even happened at all if Haruka had had that kind of resolve when Jin was already killing his friends...
Also, I know Eiji Akaso is kinda busy being a badass in the upcoming Cross-Z movie, but I kinda missed him here.
... And that's called jazz!So...is the latest episode of Zi-O up yet?
One Strip! One Strip!About Last Judgement, what was the deal with that principal, the Neo Alpha?
was he a Sigma-type, or a living human-Amazon hybrid like Jin?
Edited by TheMadCr0w on Nov 28th 2018 at 8:25:22 AM
AFAIK, not yet.
Well, from what I understood, he's an Amazon-human hybrid just like Jin, but was included with the herbivore Amazons as a part of Nozama's new Sigma project.
... And that's called jazz!Zi-O 12 is here. Not .5 yet
Time Jackers having a conversation on rooftops because apparently 'talking normally' is not within their powerset
Top-down alley fight was a neat shot, kind of wanted them to do that for longer
Sworz just... gets rid of a collectible. Good move.
Kodama Suika is amazing
I kind of like using the bike to escape Helheim as a reference to how the lock vehicles could open cracks in Gaim but it also kind of feels like a cop-out?
OK, the novelty of simultaneous battles has worn off. And they still make no sense timeline-wise
Geiz is really toeing the line between poor communication kills and 'he turns into a time-travelling dictator, of course you should be suspicious'
RE preview: Oh, we've completely dropped Decade's appearance being a surprise?
Edited by FerrousMaelstom on Nov 29th 2018 at 12:30:49 PM
Just caught the ep.
The wordless scene where they are trying to decide which Sougo should hide cracked me up.
I love how Kaito seems more angry that the dude needed help to do it than the actual ''sent to an alternate dimension for eternity thing.
Decade was gonna pop up sooner or later. Considering he's the second of Sougo's steal all the Rider powers predecessors and all...I wonder if they'll get ZX back again.
One Strip! One Strip! It's just kind of interesting that the episode synopsis was mysterious... who is this 'Kamen Rider' but then the preview for the first part of the arc is just YO DECADE IS HERE!
Just watched it. I personally liked the camerawork here, although some parts of the final battle were kinda difficult to follow through.
And yup. As hinted before, Overlord Gaim apparently did manage to put some dents in Woz's predictions and stress Geiz's importance in making Sougo deviate from becoming Oma Zi-O.
Finally, it's interesting that they're really gonna add Ghost despite them already having his Ridewatch. Also interesting is Toei going for Overlord/God Wannabe > Good Overlord and Physical God > Supposedly Evil, Multidimensional Overlord and Destroyer of Worlds. Kinda instructing Sougo on how different rulers "rule" and freaking Geiz out more and more
12.5 was supposed to show us how the antagonists' motives relate to each other, but it's really just Schwartz goofing around and showing us how much of a Galaxy Express 999 fan he must be.
... And that's called jazz!Man... I haven't made a ton of avatars that I'm never actually gonna wear in, like, years but all the Riders here was prime bait for it. So here's an album full of them if anyone wanted them.
And because I like wasting my time on here's a version where that stripe is intact.
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanBit of an older article, but here's Japan's ranking of their favorite Heisei shows.
I personally feel vindicated in having Faiz as my favorite now.
So Premium Bandai is indeed selling the Neo Decadriver, surprising nobody.
Haven't seen most of that top 10 but not surprised by W's presence.
Not surprised by the massive presence of Phase 1 Riders in the list and especially Faiz winning - many acquaintances of mine who are Rider fans have always shown a clear appreciation for this series. This also reminds me I should sit through and watch Blade someday. Somehow.
What surprises me is the absence of Gaim. Maybe Urobuchi traumatized kids too much?
... And that's called jazz!I mean Gaim is literally the worst Rider in the franchise in that he never earned his powerups or his wins so I can see why he isn't on the list. Like I enjoyed Gaim but its main character had very little to do with it.
I’m pretty sure the real reason is because that list predates Gaim.
Note that OOO’s is front and centre in the picture.
One Strip! One Strip! The picture's just a promotional still from OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders. The list itself includes Ex-Aid, a show that aired after Gaim.

In the second list at the bottom of the article (less people but lists everything Kuuga-Build), Gaim comes 13th. Anecdotally, it'd probably place higher with English-speaking fans.
Well, the list talks about the shows rather than the Riders themselves. So, regardless of Kouta being meh, I see lots of praise for the show.
... And that's called jazz!Ah. Thought it was ranking the actual characters. Still, while Gaim is good I don't think it's as good as the fanbase likes to make it out to be. Kind of surprised Den-O and W aren't the top two on that list though. I thought Japan loved those two shows?
Zi-O 10.5
Topic of the week is occasional changes in their characterizations and the fact that they are constantly changing directors for the episodes.
Speaking of OOC moments: Tsukuyomi corpsing.
