I'd like to see an animated Sugar Cane Song.

Hahaha. Someone noticed and posted in the comments for "Safety Torch" that the Frankenstein lookalike that pops up behind Toby at 0:08 says "Sup Toby" in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it speech bubble. So the whole thing is clearly nothing more than an extortion racket. I love it.

Edit: Holy crap. "Safety Torch" is in the top daily You Tube videos and is (as of when I just checked) #4 in iTunes comedy downloads. "I can swing my sword" is #3 in comedy views.

So who else is utterly stoked that Toby's finally doing Assassins Creed Revelations? And he got Worldbuscus fixed, too!

Toby presented Best Trailer on the Machinima.com Inside Gaming Awards tonight and collided with the host in his heelies. Setup or accident? I wonder... They did play his Dead Island Literal Trailer, since it won. They could have just as easily picked AC:R, but hey, good either way.

I'm enjoying watching him play Skyrim. It is not doing a good job of forestalling my desire to go and spend $60 to get it for myself. Must remain frugal, no matter how awesome it looks!

Ah man, Toby is such fail at gaming. He died a couple minutes into the tutorial.

Toby is an inspiration, isn't he? His Terraria videos inspired me to buy it, which in turn has inspired my brother to buy it. And Skyrim is much more epic, but a lot less funny, than Toby makes it seem. I even followed his path when I played it.

I got Minecraft and F.E.A.R (1 and 2) after watching his playthroughs (in the latter case, of FEAR 3). Definitely a win for marketing in my book.

Oh, yes, the Minecraft one is delightful — it's one of his most hilarious ones ever, in my opinion, both because he's so wonderfully bad at the game and because he improvs a new song in just about every episode. Search You Tube for "tobygames I can swing my sword" if you dare. Then look up "Sugar cane song".

Oh my. He is quite good at improv.

It still amazes me just how terrible Toby is at gaming. Although he actually wasn't that bad at Amnesia The Dark Descent, even though it took him forever and an age to understand how to use the lantern.

It's because he doesn't pay attention to details. At all. It also can't help that he plays games in something like 30 minute increments so he can record the episodes — I certainly can't focus on a game's story if I have to break every 10 minutes.

He really is bad.

Everyone has played a video game with someone who refuses to notice important lives of information, be they plot coupons, important dialogues, or just shiny objects, and refuses to learn from the game. Instead thinking if they keep trying the same thing over and over, eventually it will work. And everyone has suffered in silence, being forced to watch. Now imagine that person playing skyrim.

This is Toby games.

He's not actually doing all that badly at Assassins Creed Revelations, mostly because he is actually reading the mission instructions for perhaps the first time ever.

I very much enjoyed watching him get his face smashed off repeatedly by giants and mammoths in the last two Skyrim episodes, though.

Toby has a ...special relationship with Assassin's Creed. He pretty much has to play it right. Skyrim, Minecraft, and Terraria allow for more sandbox-y gameplay, and you can be as bad as you want.

By the way, that episode of Minecraft has like three highlight videos. We (the audience) must really like it. And I love the song.

He totally turned from a regular gamer to a Mine Craft / Terraria junkie. This isn't a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, I have AC:R episode 1 in my You Tube favorites, mainly because of the epic Overly Long Gag on the Ubisoft titles, which I added to Toby's article here on the wiki.

"Ubisoft presents... a game by... Ubisoft. And Ubisoft. And also... and Ubisoft also. But don't forget Ubisoft as well. And you know what, it's also by Ubisoft. And, I'm sorry, Ubisoft, too. But that's it. And... yeah, that's it. That's all. You be everywhere, Ubisoft!"

There's also a hilarious moment in the first few seconds, when he screws up inputting his name, and then there's him imitating Ezio's accent, then dropping into (and not being synced up with) the Literal Trailer song, and finally his OH YEAH reaction to what happens afterwards.

Possibly one of his best gaming episodes ever. And I fondly recall the AC:B episodes after he got the Apple of Eden, when he couldn't figure out how to use it properly — again because he didn't read the instructions. I find myself wanting to yell at the video sometimes. "HOLD X YOU IDIOT. NO, DON'T TAP IT. HOLD IT! AARRRGH!"

Honestly, who wouldn't want a portal gun for Christmas. But that joke's been done to death already; I think the best bit is that Santa uses it. Oh, and PURPLE NIPPLES AAGGGGH!!!
