Very neat. I liked the animated pictures.
Who watches the watchmen?...what the shit. I was in garage, it was x2 for win...then I won a game with 1.9k xp...and only got 2.9k out. Checking out...what, it turn back to x1.5 at win already? Damn!
^^ Hey, at least the WW 1 ships and the Hipper is known...
Give me cute or give me...something?I'm still getting 2x exp on my side... odd.
...anyone know when did Wargaming decide to buff US DD gun back to pre-0.3.1 level of ROF? Because it's not stated ANYWHERE.
Give me cute or give me...something?No idea, I'm not too familiar with the in-depth stats of the ships yet. Could be an honest mistake on Wargaming's part though.
0.4.1 test version patch notes, US DD now turns into super-light cruiser! Fruitcake gets a buff! Omaha and Murmansk get same gun range (at hull c)! Sims and Yubari gets buff! Ranked match! Etc, etc etc...(BTW, the Minekaze detection range was increased by .3km, NOT 1km)

Give me cute or give me...something?So, 0.5.0.3 is out and thus Russian DD and German Cruiser is out...holy shit the German CL is disappointing at T3 and HORRIBLE at T4! I wonder if I should just free xp to Konigsberg or not...I had a bit of fun with that back in the test drive (even if not too favourite due to its gun layout)...
Give me cute or give me...something?I heard the German cruisers has firing range long exceeding their detection range, placing them in a sniper-like role. Is this true?
Anyway, I've been loving St. Louis' 14 cannons of doom. A full broadside salvo of 7 cannons every 6 seconds reduces non-battleship tier 1-4 enemies to cinders. It's way slower than your average cruiser, though, and can be easily wrecked by a torpedo bomber run.
^ All cruisers from T5 got that. Hell, most ships actually have fire range > surface detection range. German cruiser (from T5 onward) does have longest range for cruisers tho.

Give me cute or give me...something?Cleveland is still overpowered tier-for-tier, but she is going to be uptiered and replaced by a new T6 light cruiser that will be coming out very soon. Stay tuned for more information.
And the Iowa-class can pack a serious punch if her build is centered around AA.
"We dream of better worlds, so that one day we may surpass them."It's only after you tried Mutsuki that you appreciate just how great Minekaze is. 10km range has nothing on 2x3 launchers and 30 seconds reload time.
Can't be as godawful as the Furutaka though.
There was a minor edit war on the work page, so I'd like a second opinion.
A while ago, I cleaned up the trope Names to Run Away from Really Fast, since it was just a list of ships with accomplishments they'd one in real life. This is about the game, not the real life ships. One of the names I deleted was Hiei, because that's not the ship in the game. Kongo is certainly based on her, as described in the Composite Character trope (which is accurate to my knowledge), but as far as the game is concerned, the ship is called Kongo, not Hiei.
Any opinions?
Check out my fanfiction!Sounds like you did the right thing. The Kongo is the Kongo in the game, and until a proper Hiei variant gets added there's no point in using that name.
Right. It's gone, then.
I've noted a tendency for these games with real-life weapons and vehicles to gather tropes that are about the real life objects, even if those tropes don't actually come into play in the actual games.
In other news, I've started playing the game. Let's see if it's as fun as the videos make it seem like.
Check out my fanfiction! There's nothing wrong about those real life notes. In fact I'd say it's educational, and gives those seeking better understanding of the real world vs the fiction here on the wiki a better idea of how that subject truly functioned.
Sure, but real life examples are real life examples. They're not game examples.
If you actually compare what's in the game with what isn't, and that's what the trope is, then it's not what I was referring to. That's a good comparison. For instance, the Acceptable Breaks from Reality examples. They describe how things work in the game, and how things work in real life. Which is entirely fine, because that's what the trope is about.
However, adding details about what certain ships did in their real life history on tropes where those details aren't reflected in the game, nor are relevant as comparison, is just natter.
Check out my fanfiction!Game's got a new trailer out. To say it makes anything Michael Bay did in his Pearl Harbor film look more shitty than it already was is an understatement.
Damn. Since when the heck did Wargaming get such a huge budget for their live-action marketing trailers?!
Anyone got opinions of 0.5.12 economy changes? Especially the fixed repair cost?
Give me cute or give me...something?I haven't actually looked at it.
Check out my fanfiction! It makes playing carrier even rougher then it was already.
The name ends up kinda misleading. World of War... shipcraft?
We may finally see submarines added to the tech trees in WoWs. The big clue is how Wargaming is adding in submarines to this year's upcoming Halloween event, and how there is just WAAAY too much polish and design for this to be another fake-out.
(Also, wow, this thread hasn't seen any activity in almost two years!)
Until we actually know what those ships are in project names they've revealed precisely nothing.
Nous restons ici.
