@Rocket Dude: But what if we're talking about campaigns that have already finished?
Maybe someone wants to keep a log or something. And sort it by trope.

I'm going to fully support Troper Tales deletion as well. It has nothing to do with the site's mission, cataloging tropes in media. It serves no useful purpose, like the Headscratchers page or the forum. It sets bad precedents. It encourages unhealthy attitudes. It's nigh on impossible to moderate. It's full of creepy shit, arrogance, and general stupidity that I don't want to be associated with. And I think it's clear from the reboot that changing it did nothing for the fatal problems that plague it.
Nil, a new sci-fi/horror story that you should read and review! (Updated 4/something) ''The gate opens.I support an off-site move and stress that discussion and troper tales stuff come to the main discussion. Half our natter problems would be gone if we stuck a big fat sign saying "HEY, YOU, TAKE YOUR TALES TO THE DISCUSSION PAGE!".
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gud@ Chihuahua: Why does your video gaming anecdote need to be preserved for posterity? If that matters so much to you, why not write a blog about it?

Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus!Maybe someone wants to keep a log or something. And sort it by trope.
So they have to do it on Tvtropes?
@Bobby G: You could blog about it but it's much more fun if you have a community to share it with.
As a troper, extra bonus if said community is organized by tropes.
Which is why I support moving Troper Tales to an external wiki.

Ok reposting from the other thread.
Glenn: Live blogginations.
I would agree that it should get the axe.
Ther are people who have tried to clean it up numerous times. Various efforts have been made fix issues.
None of the various efforts have ever actually succeeded in any improvements to the mess.
It is a crap/creep magnet. The moderators are honestly needed elswhere on the site. That a TT was needed shows we needed to address the problem of this stuff going on the pages rather then redirecting it. Natter still happens even with TT around in various forms. You still find personal references in the tropes pages that need cleaning.
Overall TT's mission has ultimately failed and in general fails to meet the wiki's standards and mission.
As a side note I had forgotten about the option to let someone take the contents off the site to be it's own thing elswhere. That would also be acceptable and would make it no longer our problem.

Who watches the watchmen? The external wiki thing I can get behind. It worked for Fetish Fuel.

I just want to read other people's tales, but I don't know where else I could do that, but since their probably are some locations that aren't infested by GIFT...

It just doesn't really add anything for the site compared to all the creepy and self-indulgent nonsense. (It's also made me really despise the words __verted :( )
BLATANT PROTIP TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PRESERVE TROPER TALES
COPY THE CONTENTS TO ANOTHER SITE. ASAP. IT WILL BE DELETED SOON.
That last bit hasn't been settled yet but I don't see it resolving another way.
"__verted" isn't even allowed on those pages, not that that stops anybody.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffIf people want to keep a log of something, there's blogs, word programs, and other regular websites that you can write stuff down, or even regular paper.
Troper Tropes doesn't really have a purpose besides talking about your life. Something that the forum does just as well. Mind you, we don't want to hear some stuff either, regardless.
I once put the one on the Crowning Moment of Awesome, and even though I didn't say the example as bragging(because it was other people that found it awesome), it's still frankly bragging as is. This type of thing is unneeded whatsoever.
Quest 64 threadI would get an organizing group to do this for TT as I helped do so for IJBM, but I don't care enough about TT to organize anything.
Don't forget the archived Troper Tales. Those need to go, too.
I can fully see people thinking about tropes as they experience or create their own stories, which then should make their use of averted/subverted/inverted/fooverted make sense to you.
Huh? Archived troper tales?
If there are such archives, they could also be transferred.
@Bobby: Not allowed? Reading a TT page gives the impression it's encouraged.
"Hmm, my personality doesn't really fit this trope, but it's a cool one. I'll say I subvert it."
“Love is the eternal law whereby the universe was created and is ruled.” — St. Bernardokay brb
I mean, people can have fun without acting like douches.
Troper Tales Guidelines. Specifically states that inversions and subversions aren't good enough.
They get deleted, but people write them anyway.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The Staff___verted usually just ends up meaning "it's sort of like this trope or could be this trope, but it's not" when it comes to tales. In media at least it's sometimes notable when a work is deliberately ___verting something.
My only concern though, is once we wipe Troper Tales from the site, This Troper might move to the forums more often, which is probably worst.
We could always send a link to the external wiki though.
By the way, how healthy is Fetish Fuel Wiki? If we split off Troper Tales, there's a chance that we would kill it. But keeping it alive isn't a priority.

Crown Description:
Should Troper Tales be removed? Vote down for no, up for yes.
Then there's the "drowning out" part. While an entry on Troper Tales would be visible for months or even years, a tale on an active-thread would fade into obscurity in just a few days.
...But I'll watch that thread anyways.
