Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

The Wrap reports that Marvel has hired Ma Dong-seok, previously in Train to Busan, for a role in The Eternals.

Interesting. I heard Train to Busan was pretty great, so this is good news.
All the Eternals are based on Greek myths, but it looks like they are Race Lifting them.
I really hope Eternals is good. For some reason, I'm getting an Inhumans vibe.
A scientists weighs the science behind Ant-Man vs Thanos Booty. Because of course this exists

"In 900 years of time and space I've never met anyone who wasn't important."Do not underestimate the power of Thanos's cheeks.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"That was essentially the scientists conclusion after a lesson about the power of the colon
"In 900 years of time and space I've never met anyone who wasn't important."Okay, plan B: wait for Thanos to open his mouth (he will at some point, if only to talk shit about the Avengers and the futility of their actions) and go down his throat. Scott should have more than enough time before he has to worry about digestive acids and the like. Hell, he doesn't even have to make it to the stomach; lodging himself in the esophagus should be more than sufficient. Actually, this should've been plan a all along.
But what if Thanos chews
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Can they try a nostril or ear?
Man when you all see how Ant-Man actually kills Thanos it's going to make the butt stuff look tame in comparison.
This song needs more love.I was thinking the bodies's natural defences like white bloods would overwhelm him before he could advance,I'm assuming Titian biology has a similar way of fighting off defences
Though it's possible Thanos has augmented his body to make him invisible to natural causes of illness anyway
New theme music also a boxDon't you dare, Vatek!!!
i heard scot ends up inside a whale and has to make the whale sneeze him out
New theme music also a boxI heard Scott shrinks Thanos, but only from the neck down, so Thanos has to spend the rest of his life as a tiny little body dragging an oversized head around.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!my mate says Thanos laughs himself to death when Peter parker tries to punch him
New theme music also a boxHow does dust punch anyone?
Plus, Peter was hitting him in Infinity War and it was having some effect. Not much but still.
One Strip! One Strip!Yes, let's not forget that Spider-Man has Super-Strength. He's not Hulk level or Thor level, but his punches would still at least make Thanos flinch a bit.
Disgusted, but not surprisedBasically, the video's conclusion was that Scott expanding wouldn't create enough force to rupture a human colon, much less a Titan super-colon.
In fairness, it was Rhodey who ordered Vision to take the shot.
So apparently there are a bunch of people that when shows up she "takes Carol down a few pegs".
Putting aside that what Rogue did to Carol in the comics is not supposed to be seen as a good thing, these fans don't seem to really understand what this might do to Rogue's reception. Nothing turns audiences off a character faster than kicking the audience's favorite puppy.
You know, Colbert had some sort of "question to Avengers" section which had a really great Carol moment I know will anger a lot of people. And I think it was absolutely awesome!!!!
To be frank, I can't express enough how angry I would be if Marvel decides to depower her. She doesn't need "depowering". She is great the way she is! She needs just bigger challenges.
Let’s never do the whole “Take away the heroes powers for the whole movie to prove their strength comes from them, not their powers.”
Rather tired of that plot-line & it just feel repetitive considering we already did that with Iron Man & Thor.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And with Black widow, if you consider "shredded in secrecy" as a power.
I’d say it was different in the case of Iron Man and Thor
Both believed that an external thing was their power but the power really came from within
You can’t do that with Carol. She already learned that her true power came from within and discarded the external thing, the Kree implant
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
In the comics, Captain America does call her "Chair Force," while Carol tells him that "ARMY" stands for "Airforce Rejected Me Yesterday."
