Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

I’m confused by this reaction to what I said.
We still try to keep Captain Marvel spoilers out of the discussion here. Though I guess this particular one was an open secret anyway.
Oh, got it. You were responding to the first thing I said. I was trying not to say any spoilers.
Although that’s still a weird thing to say in response, because 30 is borderline impossibly old for a normal cat.

the spoilers are like Skrulls,in deep cover, they're here but you'd never find them
New theme music also a boxRocket is the best character entire franchise.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, they can rid of all the Guardians, I would be fine with it as long as Groot and Rocket are still there.
I’d miss Mantis though
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't know.
Rocket is less of a moron, but he is a jerkass who steals batteries that he doesn't actually need.
I think without the rest of the guardians around to keep him in line (and him them sometimes) he'd probably cause a disaster on par with what Star Lord did, out of recklessness if nothing more.
I mean, this is the guy who failed to understand that letting the universe be destroyed was bad for him.
One Strip! One Strip! No idea about the lifespan of a flerken, but the comics do indicate that a single flerken may lay up to 117 eggs in a sitting.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I don't want anything to happen to the guardians damn it!
My Anime crush is LegosiAll of the Guardians have flaws; they are a collection of anti-heroes and that goes with the territory. You may take issue with their actions for various reasons, but claiming that they are "not heroic" is kind of missing the point.
OMG, now I want to see the Avengers raising a litter of flerken kittens.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Endgame featurette
Is it spoilery?
Usually a creature lays a bunch of eggs to make up for attrition from predation and whatnot
I think Flerkens just do it so they can smugly lounge in a room suddenly full of alien eggs
Flerkens also don’t seem too invested in actually raising their children. Granted, based on a sample size of one
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI would really love a tie in comic addressing what Goose got up to in the 6 years between Mar-Vell’s death and Carol’s arrival.
So...in light of recent revelations regarding a certain member of the Wakandian royal family, now I can't stop picturing this scene from Justice League Unlimited, but with Queen Ramonda (T'Challa and Shuri's mom) in place of the old lady and Thanos in place of General Eiling...
What if Goose had been around during all the big events of the MCU? (Honestly, that could be a hilarious What if story).
Goose eats Ultron. All of them.
Loki: *about to turn on portal for chitauri invasion*
Goose: *walks up*
Loki: *looks down, frowns, ignores, looks away*
Goose: *eats tesseract*
Loki: WHAT THE-

Maybe time to get a little bit more careful…or we move this to the Captain Marvel discussion.

New theme music also a boxEveryone was over here asking why Carol wasn't called in by Fury during any other MCU crisis, when really they should be asking why he didn't bring in Goose to handle the problem.
There is certainly no canonical data on the lifespan of flerkens in the MCU. Do the comics say anything about it?
What I wonder is where Goose was hiding for the entire 20 years between Captain Marvel and the present day. She could have been useful on more than one occasion.
