"Who is that, rat-a-tat-tating upon the door? Could it be...adventure?" The Tick merrily made his way to the portal.
"Of course, Satsuki-sama."
As it was, Nanoha was still fast asleep, her dreams having since transitioned to something very pleasant. She did not notice the portal.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
Grievous turned and saw the portal.
“Finally.” He stalked from the room and walked into the portal, his cape billowing behind him.
Wild Horse
Another portal suddenly appeared in the waiting area around the waiting hall, this one a blue tinted vortex that seemed almost hungry. It sparked and hissed, blowing sparks around as it just floated and waited for some visitors to explore its depths.
At once Gunner got a reading on her lens, this time indicating that a point of spacial transfer had materialized on the ground floor. "It appears that there is something akin to a portal in the main hall." She remarked to Byakuren, glancing at her. "Should we go and explore it? And should we take Nanoha?" She iterated the last statement, looking worriedly at the supposedly frail looking little girl. Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.

"Of course, I don't want to leave a child on their own when sleeping." Byakuren replied, scooping Nanoha into her arms, blankets and all, and tilting the girl so that she could use the magician's shoulder as a pillow. There was no sense in waking her up when she could stay comfortable for a while longer. "I hope you don't mind the blankets thing..."

Kohaku was just about to try some of Tyrell's curry, when she noticed others passing by as though in some kind of hurry.
Hmmm, I wonder what this is about... Better play along for now, otherwise someone might get suspicious.
"Ah, looks like I have to go now~ Sorry about that." She gave Tyrell a quick bow, before grabbing her broom and heading off to the blue portal in the waiting room.

"..." Somehow the logic of the enigmatic woman didn't make that much sense to the more practical minded Gunner; taking a small child to the unknown with blankets. Shrugging because she knew how capable the group was, she simply nodded. "I don't mind. Now then, let us go. I would like to experience these... Challenges... for myself..." With that, Gunner walked slowly towards the portal at a speed Byakuren could keep up with and cautiously went into the wanting vortex.

WHAT HAS SCIENCE WROUGHT
Cletus looked at the blue portal, curiously inspecting it. Well, he didn't see another. Maybe this would give them some leads? As he walked towards it, the pouch caught on the bannister, dropping out his pistol and Power Fist. This went unnoticed, however, as he was already on the other side, looking around and clutching his sledgehammer.
...and that's terrible.

Kohaku was sure she overheard someone say something like that. Challenges... So was this just some kind of game? Excellent, she liked games. She was good at games. She still had no idea how she got here, but as long as she played along for now, she wouldn't arouse any suspicion from the others.
Noticing some other people heading into the shimmering blue portal, she walked towards it herself, and after a quick glance at it entered after the others.

Given that Byakuren had been cheerfully hurtling around the castle at a speed normally reserved for motorised vehicles, she had absolutely on trouble with keeping up as she followed the Gunner through the portal, humming an ancient lullaby the entire time as she did so.

Nanoha was, as one would expect considering her young age and general sleepiness, unperturbed by being picked up and remained asleep. Very occasionally, she shifted in Byakuren's arms.

Screw the Lion!
Fluttershy trotted outside with Cletus to see the first portal appear. She was a bit apprehensive, worried about the strange noises it was emanating. Then the blue tinted portal appeared, the aura it gave off was one of immense hunger.......
And anything that looked big and scary and seemed hungry was also something the pegasus wished to avoid at all costs. The pony went towards the multicolored portal and entered, figuring something that only sounds dangerous does not mean that it was. At least this one was not sucking them all in.

Did she...did she just GRIMACH at my curry!? How DARE she! I saw that, the people running by were only an excuse! The SNOB! She is NOT getting away from me! But, um... Tyrell thought as he glanced at Erio, who was still in a spice coma;
"I can't just leave him here, and I'm still hungry..."
"Get back here lady! You're not leaving until you try my curry!" Tyrell shouted from a ways back. Erio was draped over his back with his hands draped over Tyrell's shoulders. In his hands Tyrell carried his pumpkin full of curry.
"There will be NO ESCAPE for you, foul sn-Whoops!" Because he was so encumbered and wasn't looking where he was going Tyrell managed to trip on his way out the front door. Cursing all the while Tyrell rolled and bounced across the ground with Erio into the blue portal.

The Tick stood before the two portals. "It would seem a pair of options lie before me. Twin gateways staring like eyes set in the face of danger. On the one hand, a hypnotic rainbow of enticement, but the roar of evil within. On the other, an opening as blue as the sea but as wild as the storm, that exudes as much hunger as a leviathan with a forest of teeth within its jaws! But I fear no leviathan, gateway! I've already been eaten by a whale! Though it pains me to see the innocent lured into the swirling spectrum of danger, I can be confident that she will survive in her present company. And so, into the belly of the beast I venture forth! Adventure ho!"
The Tick chose the blue one.

Wild Horse
Those that made their way inside the blue portal would step out into what appeared to be a luxurious dining room, extravagant decorations and gilded cutlery littering the table in uniform precision, candles lighting up the otherwise dark room and displaying the serving domes of various dishes, all closed for now.
As the group looked towards the head of the table, they would catch a glimpse of a blue haired man, very well muscled. He was dressed in a fine white suit, the color which offset the three diagonal scars on his face that ran from cheek to ear. "Ah... you must be the Bishoku-yas chosen for the ingredient retrieval mission."
In one hand he held a glass of fine wine, the rosy color catching the candle light and gleaming. In his other hand was a cigar tree branch. Propping the branch in his mouth, he snapped his fingers near the end of the wood to set it aflame with friction alone, taking a long draught of smoke inside his system and exhaling it. "Ah..." White smoke whisped out as exhaled, though the odor was sucked up by the nearby candles so the atmosphere remained polished.
"Sit down and enjoy the meal that the chefs have prepared." The blue haired man stated, gesturing to the opulent table in front of him. "The name's Toriko, and I am your informant for now." He said rather offhandedly, as if just remembering to introduce himself.

"Smoking is bad for you." Byakuren said, sitting at the table but continuing to cradle Nanoha. The food might be nice and all but if she put the magical girl down there was a chance that she would wake up. Children needed their sleep, so that would be bad. It wasn't like Byakuren herself needed sleep, anyway.

It was likely that Nanoha would awaken fairly soon. However, for the moment, she was still sound asleep, unaware of the scenery change.

"Well well! Very classy! Nothing like some fine dining to warm the spirit!" The Tick took his seat and chuckled. "...Hold on, you did just say 'ingredient retrieval mission', right?"
"Ah yes, that would be us," replied Kohaku, despite not knowing what a Bishoku-ya was. But it seemed like as long as this guy thought they were... Whatever, he'd treat them cordially. Which, of course, made things much easier for the maid.
"Now now, Purple-chan," she said to Byakuren, noting the other girl's odd hair colour. I wonder if she's like Akiha-sama... Hmmm. "It's bad form to question your host's habits, isn't it?"

"Hahaha!" The large man boomed out, his face earnestly set in a guffaw. "Normally, yes. However, Cigar Trees are different from regular cigars. One would say they actually help you." Toriko said, refreshed by the woman's freshness. "And yes, your mission is to retrieve a special ingredient in the midst of the Wul Star Jungle, set in the continent of Wu. But first, a meal to compensate for the mission."
Clapping his hands, a swarm of waiters appeared from the darkness and opened up the serving lids, revealing the wonderful food that laid within. "For the Hors D'Ouvure, sirs and madams, are 100 Leaf Clover. It is served with fried tofu, and the freshness is only amplified by the texture of the crunchy tofu." The waiter bowed down as he revealed the garnished appetizers displayed over a white ceramic tray, the scent stimulating from herb and high qualitied curd, the looks of the food showing a contrast between golden tofu and fresh green of the garnishes.
"For Soup, we have the ever hot Magma Consomme, imported from the legendary soup volcanoes." Another waiter bowed as he lifted his respective lid, revealing bubbling soup in a wide white dish, reminiscent of actual magma, with tidbits of high qualitied beef stewing in the stock. "Drinking from this stock ought've warm your bodies up, and the beef is high qualitied White Haired Cinderella Cattle, which is good for the skin as well as the stomach due to its collagen rich fats. Though it is not fatty itself and is light on the stomach, you will find that it is not skimping on flavor."
"The rest of the dishes shall be out shortly, when you are done with the starter meals." The other waiters bowed down as they retreated back into the darkness. Toriko gave the staff a thumbs up for the admirable job so far of presenting the 6 starred meal. Apparently he was a much beloved figure of authority, as the the staff swooned from the simple show of affection.

Antroz looked at the portals and decided that the one that had ht eappearance of rainbows would be slightly better for the mind.
He paused before the portal in hesitation then stepped inside and vanished.
Grey was jolted out of his reverie by what sounded like a balloon bursting. Looking around for the source of the noise, he was sorely disappointed when he saw no obvious indicator. Walking across the hall and leaving the castle, the reploid caught sight of the portal, its' colours surprisingly mesmerising. At least it wasn't trying to suck him in, like the last several portals. That alone made it a tempting choice for him. He did have to inwardly groan at it happening again so soon, however - he was hoping to get at least some rest before setting off again.
"C'mon, let's go..." said Grey, shuffling toward the portal. Taking a deep breath, he cautiously stepped inside, hoping that wherever he was being sent, it wouldn't turn out like the last world he visited - that would be less than pleasant, to put it lightly. He still felt a tug of guilt at being not able to save them.
