That Digimon World Re: Digitize looks very good indeed. My dad has a PSP so I could give it to him, if it ever comes out in the U.S.A.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DI thought that whoever voiced Yoshino was kind of boring sounding though. She's not very lively.
A LOT of people thought that. Coincidentially, said seiyuu (Yui Aragaki) will be playing Akane in the upcoming live action Ranma Half special.
Beautiful, I get goosebumps up my back every time I hear this song, its that mystical and chilling.
Watch SymphogearHoly crap on a chocolate biscuit!! I just realised something. Kari's full name is Hikari which means 'light', and her last name in the original is Yagami.
That's right, Kari's japanese name is Light Yagami!!
Hell, Kari and Kira even sound the same
Wow, it sure is quiet here, huh? <puts thread on watchlist>

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So whatever happened to RE: Digitize?
Kari and Kira don't sound the same, but it's very easy to make them so, which is just as bad IMO.
What, no discussion of Angewomon's evolution lines?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Wander and I didn't even discuss that much in the P Ms.
Well, I'm interested! Really, a cat turning into an angel (and a high-ranking one, at that)? That's just silly!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Still not as bad as having Opossummon turn into a Cho-Hakkaimon.
Shoutmon's profile is why it's one of my favorite digimon.

Watch SymphogearHeard of D'Arcmon? I proposed that she should be the line's champion, with Ophanimon (who I keep accidentally spelling Orphanimon) and Wander proposed Venusmon and Minervamon as alternate Megas for the line.
IIRC the pic for Venusmon used to be much more risque.
That could work. Certainly keeps the thematic unity.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't think D'Arcmon even existed back in 1999... not to mention they were going with the whole bad ass cutie at the time. Besides, the evolutions in adventure seem more to match the human partner than the digimon itself (and kari was a "little angel"... with issues, but still).
On the other hand, the fact that the evolutionary path is not set is part of what makes digimon unique. If anything, it's strange that there hasn't been an anime series that explored this mechanic by, for example, having a digimon evolve into a weaker digimon whenever it (and/or the human partner) is in need of character development; it would even make the battles more unpredictable, as well as making the audience see many different digimon.
Re:Digitize will come out this month, if I'm not mistaken, but in the meantime there has been another promotional video.
Yeah, I'm aware of the reasons for the anime going the Gatomon route I'm just proposing this for a new line that should be carried through in the vidya gaems.
Usually the video games do whatever they want; For example, Dawn/Dusk has Impmon evolve into Lilithmon, as opposed to Beelzebumon.
On another note, does anybody have any idea of what defines a digimon's size? The anime is very inconsistent; The closest to an answer was digimon master's, in which had to with potential or something like that.

Age, probably.
And I know the games do whatever they want, but they should try for a little more consistency and to introduce some of the really plain obvious evolutions.
Like some of the ones we'd talked about in a PM, such as Brachiomon->Cannondramon. And if those clear path levels don't exist, they should.
In other threads, I've made known my like of Adventure 1 and Tamers. In Tamers, Lopmon conveniently digivolved to Antylamon offscreen. Of the three possible champion intermediates, Turuiemon was the one they should have chosen.
Also, reposting a Gatomon chart.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyTuruiemon is Lopmon's Champion in the Tamers Digivice things, and was clearly designed to be used as such. I'm not sure why it doesn't appear in the video games as the "good" champion in the line, Prairiemon is used as the champion in the Digimon Battle mmo.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing a commercial for those Tamers digivices. Didn't those have a fighting game on them? How was it?

The sad, REAL American dichotomyThey're fun. Can be frustrating because I have no freaking idea how to win battles due to the bosses constantly reviving until all of a sudden they don't, but it's fun. You use cards as well, and can combine them. Each partner has an element and by combining the digivolution card with a different element card you can make them digivolve into a different form, switching elements. Pretty neat.
Now that I think about it, digimon must be the best example of Adaptation Displacement ever. I mean, there is a lot of talk about franchise when it comes to the anime, the games and even the manga but not the virtual pats, which is exactly what the franchise is based from. Sure, that probably had to do with most of them not reaching stores outside of japan. Although I think I did have an Adventure 02 digivice at some point, a long time ago

There's a facebook group that actually has made a computer version of Virtual pets, with far more Digimon to choose from. I played them until my data got corrupted and I lost one of my Digimon, got over it after that.
They're pretty addictive and thankfully they have pause and save buttons.
Think you can find a source or a name for it, Saiga?
It will be.
Shoutmon X7 already reminded me of Gao Gai Gar, and this version fusing with every single digimon in existance felt more like Getter Emperor or Super TTGL.
