It's because the two were never direct rivals for the spotlight; rather, they were sequential. The sun set on the Prince of Persia's time in pop culture just as it was rising for Assassin's Creed. The various Assassins are essentially the hip new Prince of Persia, and Ezio is the hippest of them all.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Ezio crossed over into Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur Crossed over with Nier and Nier crossed over into Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy crossed over into Assassin's Creed.
It's circular.
Bleye knows Sabers. It's like poetry, it rhymes
I like the matchup between the Prince and Ezio thematically. Pit Ubisoft's two franchises against one another.
I just find the fight really poorly made. They don't fight like the Prince and Ezio would fight. Like, while Ezio can fight unarmed, punching and kicking isn't really what anyone thinks off when thinking "Ezio killing people", nor is it the prince.
You could swap the models for any two characters and except for the killing blow, nothing would really change in the choreography. This could've equally been Scorpion fighting Sub-Zero or any two punchy characters who have blades on their costume.
I thought the fight was pretty good. There was enough parkour to feel thematic and the punches serves a purpose of showing how serious things have gotten once the swords come out. Progression in a fight is important.
Swords, who are immediately discarded to go right back to punching.
Yes, as an expression of each fighter getting one over on the other, before the finish with another bladed weapon.
Has anyone with a First membership seen the other version? I figure the reason it devolved into a fistfight is because Ezio won the poll. The most iconic way for him to take the W would be to kill the Prince with his Hidden Blade. But that presents a problem, because it's a stealth-kill weapon and this is an arena bout format.
So to get around the fact that "Ezio walks up to the Prince in a crowd and shanks him" would be a super anticlimactic fight, they went this route. The fighters lose their weapons and it devolves into a fistfight, only for Ezio to violently reveal that he's not actually disarmed after all.
Since the other fight isn't intended to conclude with the Hidden Blade, I figure they probably don't need to punch each other. The Prince probably also gets to use the Dagger of Time in that one. He didn't in this one because he wasn't supposed to win, and the Prince rewind-spamming a melee exchange until he lands a killing blow would be an awfully difficult thing for Ezio to beat.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Have they done Vision vs Red Tornado yet?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That's so very not fair.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireJLA/Avengers did Red Tornado vs Vision.
Vision tried to do his usual biz but since Red Tornado was mystically empowered it went badly for him.
The End.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMaybe Vision and Red Tornado can do a Sad Robot cry-off.
Bite my shiny metal ass.Does Red Tornado cry often? Because Vision is memetic for it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRed Tornado◊ is a very sad robot.
Bite my shiny metal ass.I read his voice in Micky's mouse t
New theme music also a boxI meant Death Battle: whether Death Battle (or DBX, I guess) has done it yet. I vaguely remembered it coming up before, but I guess not.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."God Heavy vs Roadhog is such a good bout in that one.
Bleye knows Sabers.I'm gonna say it's part time restraints, part having to do 2 endings for the same fight.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Since someone suggested a Supergirl Battle Royale, who do you think would appear?
Pre-Crisis, Matrix, Linda Supergirl, DCAU Supergirl (probably with her second costume to differentiate herself from Linda, who started wearing the white t-shirt after a while), Modern Supergirl, Cir-El, New 52 Supergirl, and finally Arrowverse Supergirl....oh wait. Forgot Helen Slater Supergirl. My bad.
Might have missed a few, but I believe that's the bulk of them.
