"Has a gun" probably wouldn't even help much since Cage regularly deals with things worse than gunfire. On top of dealing with actual gunfire. He also has the iconic Nut Cracker attack, which exploits Falcon's only known weakness.

As far as I know, nope. GX has a story mode that focuses on Falcon, but pretty much all of his feats there amount to "really good at driving a racing machine." I guess if they really wanted to they could calc his reaction times based on how fast the Blue Falcon drives, but that's about it.

That fight went just about as expected. Animation was also pretty good to boot. The final blow being a lot tamer this time around in comparison to how... over the top the last one was. Definitely an interesting choice next time.

There was an anime. Although apparently it’s not canon or something

The anime's Captain Falcon is a different character entirely from the Douglas Jay Falcon of the games, though for what it's worth the anime also says the identity of Captain Falcon is a Legacy Character so... if they want to cheat and composite, they could do it that way.

All he really did was jump out of Blue Falcon to knock down a giant ROB and do few perilous leaps. That's really it.

Really, this battle doesn't really work out because Johnny Cage actually has feats and such, while Captain Falcon runs out Memetic Badassery.

I'm back And I see finally a RBWY character lost (even though I was rooting for Weiss), but this result completely invalidates Yang vs Tifa's results (I'm still very salty about that result (and is like the only Death Battle result I completely disagree with), but not nearly as salty as I was when it first came out), now I do hope they revisit that Death Battle in the future with correct research (seeing as Mario vs Sonic got one, Yang vs Tifa could use one as well)!

Captain Falcon vs Johnny Cage as the next Death Battle? Whelp good luck Captain because you're about to get your might tested....in a big way (either this is going to be a hilarious joke battle, or a serious one (if it's a joke fight (akin to Smokey the Bear vs Crime Dog Mc Gruff, or maybe Hercule vs Dan), my money's on Falcon, but if it's serious, Cage stomps even harder than Jax)!

Right, I'll do the explanation, since I just saw it.

Weiss had a small speed advantage because of her time dilation ability, but Mitsuru just outclassed her everywhere else. Scaling to Naoto means Mitsuru and her persona can move around speeds of Mach 7. Weiss had a lot of attack options, but Mitsuru's defenses are far greater. For one, Mitsuru has an immunity to ice, and Weiss has usually relied more on her ice attacks. Even though Mitsuru is technically more vulnerable to fire damage, Weiss's fire attacks aren't nearly deadly enough to overcome the defenses. Weiss and her summons have never dealt the kind of damage like Ryoji blowing up Moonlight Bridge. Even Mitsuru's ice powers eclipsed Weiss's. Weiss also had no real counter to Mitsuru's status effects or something like Spirit Drain, and Mitsuru has a way to heal herself, erasing any sort of progress Weiss might have done. Weiss's abilities were limited to her Dust and Aura. Mitsuru had no such limitations. Even though personas could break, they're only gone for a few seconds before they can be resummoned. Though Weiss's Aura makes her essentially unkillable, takes a long time to come back if it's depleted. Once she used up all her Aura, she's as good as dead.

I'm really trying to figure out the connection between these two other than Falcon Punch vs. Nut Punch

Fighters that are also celebrities are the only comparisons I got outside of that.

It was originally a DB cast fight, so you could probably find more on the why there.

Any idea which episode that'd be? Can't find anything archiving all the Community Death Battles so I'm not sure when they'd of brought it up.

I'm not even sure the "fighters that are also celebrities" angle works since Johnny's a somewhat-mocked actor who wanted to prove he was a real fighter with actual powers while Captain Falcon's a bounty hunter that has a side gig as being a racer in a galactically-televised grand prix series, which is where his celebrity status comes from. It's not the cleanest of parallels.

My reasoning is that both of them are comical characters that don't play like a Joke Character.

120 Is the episode where they decide to make it the community fight, 121 is where they talk about who would win.

...so that seems to be the extent of the connections as far as they're concerned. As far as the video where they discuss the fight goes, apparently Johnny Cage has dodged bullets with his nutpunch before and scales to nuke levels via Goro and Shinnok? They also talk about the Falcon Punch not being a punch thrown so fast it ignites the air, and cite the anime as implying he has a form of pyrokinesis and also talk about GX a little so they're probably gonna composite Falcon via the Legacy Character thing.

And when they start debating it themselves: Sounds like Falcon will get the Blue Falcon, apparently remotely controlling it is part of Bart's powerset in the anime. But they also argue that Johnny Cage's scaling might let him throw hands with the Blue Falcon itself, and then they start scaling Johnny's nut punch and being able to pop Goro's testicles to Kintaro surviving a nuke and the discussion basically stops there because they're laughing too hard to keep talking and...

Okay the impression I'm getting is the only reason this episode exists is they want to calc that one feat because it's batshit crazy and deserves to have the numbers crunched on it

This is just weird, cause I guess Falcon and Cage don't really have highly requested opponents. Falcon is just memetic and doesn't lead itself to many matchups that aren't just "other people that have captain in their title". Cage has Joseph Joestar, Fei Long, Ken, and Hercule Satan. But I think people want Joseph to fight Edward Elric, Fei Long has no feats, and Ken and Satan already got a fight? I'm curious to see what they'll say their reasoning for this matchup is on the cast.

Wow. They actually did it. They actually proved they had the guts to kill off the RWBY character. Okay, I promise to be more open minded towards Roosterteeth properties from now on. As for the next time... Yeah, I don't get it, which seems to be the general consensus here... Um... Maybe the connection is goofy, yet badass, well known in their universe fighters with some sort of meme-worthy punch? [Falcon's Falcon Punch and Cage's ball punch.] That's my best guess anyway..
