It's true that according to myth, Atlas is holding up the sky. However, I'm not convinced there is much distinction between holding the sky and holding the Earth when you get right down to it.
Atlas's body is substituting for a load-bearing column that separates the Earth from the rest of the universe. One could interpret this as him standing on the Earth and holding the weight of the universe on his shoulders. However, given that the nature of "up" and "down" is entirely relative in space, I posit that he is in fact doing a handstand upon the sky and carrying the much lighter weight of the Earth upon his feet.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.You'd be wrong since a myth about him and Hercules trading places specifically involves how it's a weight on their shoulders. (Hercules gets Atlas to take the sky back by saying he wants to arrange his cloak as padding to hold it on his shoulders).

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Anyone for Morrigan Aensland vs Android 21?
Been trying to find a good opponent for Morrigan for years now. Everyone's favourite Bubblegum MILF might do the trick.
...If I offended anyone with my Bubblegum MILF comment, don't hesitate to tell me.
One Strip! One Strip!...How is that supposed to be offensive?
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time? Are you worried about offending pink people?
I'm sorry to offend you, but pffffffhahahahahaHAHAHAHAAAAA.
But seriously, is there something we should know?

Nah. I was just afraid it'd come off as sexist or something...and since I found it hilarious, I didn't want to have to stop saying it (though I would have if it came to that).
Sometimes I can miss some implications of things, so I wanted to be sure.
One Strip! One Strip!I will now exclusively refer to Android 21 as "Bubblegum MILF" because that's just too hilarious.
Of course the name could be misleading. She's the one that chews you up.
Hah! I never though of that!
Well, glad the term is catching on. I guess I was worried for nothing.
One Strip! One Strip! It's not misleading.
Though maybe to people unfamiliar, it could describe another character.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.You mean like if Adventure Time got a "20 years in the future" story?
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Right.
So any thoughts on the actual battle?
Morrigan might still be too powerful (she's supposed to be something of a Reality Warper at her full power, but we never really see it so it's hard to say).
That being said, 21 is basically Cell, but better, but with all of Buu's extra features (better regeneration, the ability to instantly win a fight by turning someone into Candy, etc).
One Strip! One Strip!First thought: I suppose Princess Bubblegum and Marceline could adopt a kid.
Second though: Wait, aren't the candy kingdom people basically PB's kids already?
Third thought: Does she even age? Would 20 years make a difference? There have got to be some comics that covered this, right?
I just figured there'd be some weird Ooo lesbian magic science spawn.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?I think PB is outright called the mother of the candy kingdom at one point. because she is, she literally created all of them.
PB also doesn't age, or at the very least not very quickly. she remains 18 years old (roughly) throughout the whole of Adventure Time, though it is important to note that she has indeed aged since she was first "born".
so yes, princess bubblegum could accurately be described as a "bubblegum milf", albeit she's pretty much always 18 and she hasn't technically given birth so much as created life.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeYeah I guess so.
So just PB from Adventure Time then.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time? The second issue of Godzilla: Rage Across Time has Godzilla curb-stomp the Greek Pantheon - Zeus seemingly kills him with a full power thunderbolt, but only after he reduces Mt. Olympus to rubble, rips the Hydra to shreds, incinerates Ares with his Atomic Breath, and kills Poesidon off-panel... only for Godzilla to pop out of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD and wipe out Pompeii. And if that's not enough, Godzilla curb-stomps the Yamata-no-Orochi in the first issue.
And when each of those pieces grew a new hydra, what did he do?
I'm pretty sure that only applies to just decapitating it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, afterwards Godzilla just shoved the Hydra against Mount Olympus and had it crushed beneath a rockslide.
Re: Morrigan. Best I can think of is Bayonetta. They're both Ms Fanservice and people of mass destruction.
On the topic of Mortal Kombat, 11 just gave a big upgrade to Liu Kang where he fuses with Raiden to become a God of Fire & Lighting. He is now so powerful he can total an army of demons & even no-sell a time God’s reversing all time back to the beginning of time despite said time God jacking herself with a special powerful device. He then defeats the time God even while she was nerfing his move-set.
Liu Kang is quite possibly the most powerful character in all of Mortal Kombat now.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
They not only knew that, Erasthosthenes of Cyrene accurately calculated the size of the Earthnote (within 10 to 15% depending on which version of the unit of measure he was using) and the tilt of the Earth's orbital axis in the third century BC. Now the myth of Atlas is way older than him, but still....
