There's a guide to the changes to the Japanese script of the 2023 Mario movie, per Gamexplain.
"Peaches" is apparently a sinister lust song in the Japanese version and Bowser is "VERY evil."
...I wonder what, if any, changes were made to the 1993 movie in dubs.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I saw some people in the reddit thread claiming that part of the guide was innacurate, so take it with a grain of salt
Can someone please clarify if, when reaching the Moon Kingdom in Odyssey for the first time, it's still possible to return to the previous worlds or it's necessary to clear the game once to do so? I have the impression that you can't, but it's been ages (5 years) since I had gone there the first time in my save file.
I'm asking to see if it's an example of Point of No Return or not (I think it would be the first time for a 3D Mario game). Thanks in advance!
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300I THINK Cappy refuses to let you leave, but I don't remember for sure.
For reference, I know there's already a 2D game (Super Mario Maker 2 in Story Mode) that locks you into the final level until you clear it the first time, due to Toadette's kidnapping.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Can you return to the Observatory in Galaxy 1 after going to the final stage? There's a whole big cutscene of buildup and everything.
Can't speak towards Galaxy 2 or 3D World: Bowser's Fury since I've never played those. But 64 and Sunshine definitely don't have a Point of No Return. In fact, in Sunshine you could say you're ENCOURAGED to return, since Corona Mountain has Blue Coins.
I used to think Galaxy 1's final level locked you, but I tested it when replaying the game in 2013 on Wii and again in 2021 on Switch and I can say it doesn't (I used to think otherwise because, back in 2007 when the game first came out, Nintendo released Metroid Prime 3 which has a similar buildup for its last area and it does lock you there).
BTW, I read a post in Gamefaqs about someone confirming that you cannot leave Moon Kingdom until after beating the game, both because Cappy urges you to save Peach, and on the technical basis that the Odyssey can only leave a newly-visited kingdom when a threshold of Power Moons is collected to re-fuel it, and there's no threshold to speak of in Moon Kingdom because there's no next destination available without finishing the main story.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300MK 8 DX still dominates at 53.79 million sold, Odyssey is at 25.76, Super Mario Party is ay 19.14, NSMBUDX is at 15.41, Superstars is at 10.17, Strikers is at 2.54, Bowser's Fury is at 11.38, Luigi's Mansion 3 is at 12.82.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Question:
What are your guys’s three favorite tracks from Mario Kart: Double Dash?
Mine are:
- 1. DK Mountain
- 2. Wario Colosseum
- 3. Mushroom City
Dino Dino Jungle, Sherbet Land and Wario Colosseum.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Rainbow Road (I love the verticality of that version), Wario Colosseum, and Daisy Cruiser.
I remember playing the All-Cup in Double Dash a lot, which, for the uninitiated, is all 16 tracks back-to-back-to-back, starting with Luigi Circuit, then playing the next 14 courses in random order, then Rainbow Road. It was a nice concept, but, uh, if you were to try and do the same thing with the more recent games, the sheer number of courses you'd have to go through all in one sitting would be, a lot...

They already have the feature...
It has not been adjusted for the DLC, of course.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I, for one, look forward to 96 consecutive races.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!GBA - NSO The rest of the Super Mario Advanced series is out May 26th

Song of the SirensI kind of want Nintendo to give a...Tears of the Kingdom treatment to the next 3D Mario game.
They've never really done this with Mario collectibles before, but I liked the idea that (in Super Mario Odyssey) some levels had "Story progression" objectives. Doing those objectives counted for the "World Peace" achievement and actually changed things about that area.
However there were only ever maybe 1 to 2 objectives and they were entirely optional and didn't really impact much...mainly because Bowser already took all the stuff from each location.
So I think it would be cool if Nintendo did more with that concept, with Bowser actually having a larger impact on locations he's been to and his minions being a bigger obstacle in the level...not being just a single boss fight like the Broodals or the others. Then Mario would have multiple objectives dedicated to undoing Bowser's influence, helping people, and dealing with whatever problems of the area, the level changing state after doing each objective.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The concept of Bowser's Fury does seem to hint at a potential future 'Open-World Mario'. Whether or not Nintendo follows up on that remains to be seen though, but I am curious how a full game similar to Bowser's Fury could work. Like, would it actually be a giant open world to explore and platform around, or would there be different large sections based on different themes and biomes? Would we be travelling across a single kingdom, trekking around the world again, or return to space to visit new galaxies? Would Mario be the only playable character, or could we choose others like Luigi, Peach, Toad and such?

The phrase "open-world Mario" used to trigger my gag reflex, but Bowser's Fury changed my mind. Ridiculously fun game, and probably my favorite sandbox Mario. If the next mainline game is a bigger version of that, I'm all for it.
Just put the Koopalings in there, please.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?A much bigger version would need the horsepower of a new Ninten do system, though.
Unless...
The big size of Lapcat is replicated for each individual setting in a full-fledged BF-esque Mario game. Would you imagine an 8-world campaign where each world was a Bowser's Fury on its own? (Obviously with each periodic threat being a different boss, of course)
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Yeah, that'd be a cool way to do it, each world essentially being it's own narrative with it's own antagonists. Maybe a small thread connecting each world into a larger story. Imagine fighting Bowser in the Mushroom Kingdom, then returning to Subcon to fight Wart, then going to the moon to fight Tatanga, and so on and so forth.

Not sure at what point it would be relevant for Mario to just fall asleep...
But if Bowser wants to get at Mario directly, he could try messing with his dreams.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I could imagine a Breath of the Wild type thing for Mario gameplay-wise. You're plopped down in an open world full of jumping challenges, optional bosses to find and battle, puzzles to solve, etc. each of which reward you with a Power Star. Maybe with some story content that rewards you with extra Power Stars, like how Odyssey did its triple-moon plot rewards.
You need x amount of Power Stars in order to challenge Bowser and the game doesn't particularly care which. Go have fun.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It would be really awkward if, after all this assuming that the next Mario will be an evolution of Bowser's Fury, Nintendo just returns to the structure of something like Odyssey or 3D World.
Page topper
Aside from that... So I mentioned before that there was a fan-made remake of New Super Mario Bros' versus mode called New Super Mario Bros Versus.
Well there's a new update coming and the track to a jungle level was posted. Though it was originally part of a mod to NSMBVS before it became part of the game itself.
