I'm still a fan of hers. I hope she becomes a pretty permanent fanart fixture. While I doubt nintendo'll ever outright turn Bowser, I can see a crossover-like game giving us a Bowsette from another world or something. Hey, they did it with paper mario.
It could give us some great moments, like Bowsette berating Bowser for all the shit he's pulled. But then have both Bowsette and Bowser have the exact same reaction to certain events to remind us they're alternate versions of the same person.

Bowsette is still a thing, and on certain... sites best left unnamed she was the most prominent video game character (if you count her as one) of the year. Just not the current hot topic.
Nintendo should find a way to make her a bonus boss in NSMBUDX. That'll get the game to NSMB DS/Wii numbers.
The Shadow Queen did it before it was cool.
Look, both Bowsette and Shadow Queen are awesome ways of giving us a goth chick that looks like Peach but I will argue from dawn until dusk that they are still separate niches of waifu and deserve to coexist!
Shadow Queen is edgy down to her name. Bowsette has all the showmanship and evil dorkiness of Bowser. Bowsette is def the better one!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I like edginess though. DEATH TO BOWSETTE, ALL HAIL THE SHADOW QUEEN!!
Bowsette's not gonna eat my soul, so I'll stand with her.
It's been 3000 years…I really hope Daisy's in "Luigi's Mansion 3".
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I only like Bowsette when she's thicc and muscly.
But...Mario, Luigi, and Wario's voices are still Brawl base box.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by that.
They're recycled voice clips.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Alright. I know own the Odyssey.
Just starting out so far. As always, there are so many abilities, that I doubt I'll remember to use them all. Still, this should be an experience.
...I already took control of a dinosaur. This game has me.
One Strip! One Strip!Double post.
...So when do I actually get to New Donk City. I've finished the Desert kingdom and there was a fork in the road and I decided to go to the Lakeside Kingdom.
I assumed I'd be heading to Donk () right after the starter level, but I'm still doing other places. Did I do something wrong here?
One Strip! One Strip!New Donk is about the mid-way point of the game. You've got a couple of more kingdoms before you get there.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Huh. I honestly thought it would come sooner, considering it supposed to be the hub level...right?
One Strip! One Strip!Nope, it's just one of the more detailed and advertised Kingdoms in the game.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! They fooled me on that one it seems.
One Strip! One Strip!Despite Super Mario 64 having one of the most elaborate Hub Levels in platforming, the 3D Mario platformers have been moving further and further away from that level setup. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario Odyssey both just use a vehicle moving along a path to get to levels, and Odyssey's vehicle is smaller and less of a hub than even Galaxy's Faceship.

It's not a hub at all.
There is no hub.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Damn. I like hubs.
Fine. I'll remember this Odyssey.
You owe me a hub. You owe me all the hubs.
One Strip! One Strip!Odyssey doesn't really need a hub since most levels contain hubs of their own.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Fair enough.
One Strip! One Strip!
Yeah they already kind had that idea for Odyssey, as said, they just didn't follow through with it in the end. Nintendo basically predated the concept of Bowsette well before the internet blew it up.
Chances are they may revisit the idea thanks to the meme, but I'd imagine they would create a new Peach-esque standalone character in the same vein of the Bowser-Peach fusion instead.
Bowsette has more or less been regulated to the fan creation zone (I still see regular fan-art of the character, it's just that now it doesn't seem like everyone is doing it) and is no longer a huge meme. At the moment anyway. Most of us here had already said as much was going to happen while the meme was going strong.
She'll probably resurface once Mario Deluxe is released, but I doubt the reaction will be nearly as strong.
