First thing's first: KEEP. THIS. SHIT. CIVIL. If you can't talk about race without resorting to childish insults and rude generalizations or getting angry at people who don't see it your way, leave the thread.
With that said, I bring you to what can hopefully be the general thread about race.
First, a few starter questions.
- How, if at all, do you feel your race affects your everyday life?
- Do you believe that white people (or whatever the majority race in your area is) receive privileges simply because of the color of their skin. How much?
- Do you believe minorities are discriminated against for the same reason? How much?
- Do you believe that assimilation of cultures is better than people trying to keep their own?
- Affirmative Action. Yea, Nay? Why or why not?
Also, a personal question from me.
- Why (in my experience, not trying to generalize) do white people often try to insist that they aren't white? I can't count the number of times I've heard "I'm not white, I'm 1/4th English, 1/4th German, 1/4th Scandinavian 1/8th Cherokee, and 1/8th Russian," as though 4 of 5 of those things aren't considered "white" by the masses. Is it because you have pride for your ancestry, or an attempt to try and differentiate yourself from all those "other" white people? Or something else altogether?

He's not saying that anti-vaxxers are like racists, he's saying the people who call opponents of vaccination anti-vaxxers are like the white people who call black people the n-word.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYou kinda can link anti vexxer to racist in the sense both are movement move by sheer stuborness, "im better than you" mentality and a disregard of what the cause.
In fact, a lot of anti vexxer were quite racist and anti semitie.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Yes, there are similarities. But that's not what he's saying.
He's saying that calling people anti-vaxxer is as hurtful and prejudiced as calling people the n-word.
Which is grotesque and offensive for the obvious reason, anti-vaxxers are degenerates and thus to compare them to the undeserving victims of racism is deplorable.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI prefer no use degenerate considering is used a slur against no hetersexual people, being foold is fine.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That's a completely fair position, I know that it's thoroughly owned by the alt-right and fascists in general.
But considering that in my view they're the real people who are lesser I think it's fair if I attempt to take it back, though obviously, I understand why people might be uncomfortable with it.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnIs more with a little bit of personal issue here: I was part of the new atheist movement who delight in picking target and being mean to them and people allow by being acceptable target, I belive that tendency of "Is cool to be a dick to aceptable target because they are" just allow people to behive like a jerk becuase they could get away with it.
Anti vexxers like alt right are inmadure idiots, nothing more to be said about it.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"They're literally responsible for deaths of children and infants because they refuse to vaccinate,so whatever negative adjective you want to use to describe them is fine because they have earned it
therefore degenerate is fine,I can certainly think of nasty things to describe them
New theme music also a boxAs a general rule I prefer not using insult belonging for a lone time to bigots against other, not matter how much they "earned".
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"What if they're a bigot anti vaxxor?
New theme music also a boxCould be. I know that climate change denial and Nazism are certainly correlated to each other, there might be a correlation here as well.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFrankly, refusing to vaccinate your children - barring a bloody good reason like weak immunity - should be considered child abuse and result in losing custody.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Meh, I'm all for reclaiming the word degenerate and flipping it around on the actual degenerates and/or using it as self-deprecation (granted, that would be for ENTIRELY different reasons).
Fuck, Ted Cruz has infected my verbal tics.
Hopefully I'll feel confident to change my avatar off this scumbag soon. Apologies to any scumbags I insulted.I don't think you should feel that bad about calling anti-vaxxers what they actually are. I personally think that those f*ckers are actually happy with all the so-called abuse thrown at them because it feed their persecution complex. Not to mention, they are responsible for the deaths of children and babies in their crusade to prove reality is wrong, and all the bad things that are said about them are true. And being an anti-vaxxer is literally a choice. They actively choose to be an a-hole.
I'm not as witty as I think I am. It's a scientifically-proven fact.Of all adjectives I have for Anti-Vaxxers, the said one is the least offensive.
It is out of tact with reality of holding anti-vaxxer as having the same weight of a racial slur. Specially when the Anti-Vaxx movement is:
- Completely voluntary choice to join or become;
- Borne from ignorance instead of origin;
- Actually get people killed by practicing their beliefs;
So, that script writer pouring his heart out to complain how being called an anti-vaxxer is totally like being called the n-word, is not something worthy of sympathy but sheer unadulterated scorn, a stream of insults and as much fucking disdain as you can possibly have towards them.
Because holy fucking shit, I don't care how well meaning those motherfuckers are. Anti-Vaxx is a fucking backward belief, supported by grade A bullshit from bullshit research, bullshit filled celebrities and people with bullshit for a brain.
Seriously fuck these people.
Inter arma enim silent legesWell said.

Anti-Vaxer prevalence is actually tied to extreme left wing tendencies for once, no idea if we have a term for the segment of the left that is full on American Green party like we do for alt-righters.
Now that isn't a rule, much like climate change stances aren't unique to the right, but its where the bulk of the bell curve lies.

Anti-Vaxx takes a lot of the antipathy towards Big Pharma and applies it to vaccines.
And they are still barking at the wrong tree, vaccination isn't even something that is solely on the hands of Big Pharma, plenty of governments make their own vaccines using public institutions.
And even then the correlation between autism and vaccination, for all that is worth, is an incredibly flawed and stupid one.
Inter arma enim silent legesAnti-vaxxer is a fairly literal description of their stances. Which keep in mind, as a political belief, are voluntary and therefore incomparable to racial slurs and other such slurs which are based on immutable characteristics, and thus to put them on the same level is horrendously nonsensical in itself.
... what I would call "Big Pharma" has absolutely nothing to do with vaccination, and I'm hesitant to use the term anyway, if only because use of the phrase "Big X" tends to be associated with the idiot fringes of both sides of the spectrum, with people who see conspiracies where there are none. Not to mention the implications of an actual cabal are stupid. I know I'm preaching to the choir on that.
My issues with the pharmaceutical industry is how they're effectively committing highway robbery, making people pay out the ass and potentially leave themselves destitute just to stay alive.
... and I realise this is completely off topic. It's a Berserk Button to me, more or less. Back on topic: Yeah, comparing the treatment of anti-vaxxers to actual racism is deplorable.

Hopefully I'll feel confident to change my avatar off this scumbag soon. Apologies to any scumbags I insulted.I'm fairly sure the way pharmaceutical companies operate IS the very definition of a conspiracy.

You have to be a complete fucking idiot to relate racism with a movement based on sheer stupidity.
