It works for this page though, the same way that the Why Did It Have to Be Snakes? page is separated first by what the object of the phobia is, and then by media. There's no reason that it can only be sorted one way.

Yeah I always try to get people in ykttw to sort examples. its so much easier to read.

Inside each folder sort them by medium using Anime & Manga? Like what was done with Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?.

Should "Elements" be merged with "Minerals and Compounds"? Neither is very large, and the theme of both groups is very similar.

People seem to be ignoring it on that page because of the note or this thread, though. If you guys want to merge some categories or whatever you should do that now and remove the note. Otherwise you might as well just take it off that page entirely, seeing as the examples are sorted, albeit in odd, catch-all categories.
If you know what you want to do with the categories but just haven't/can't get around to implementing it, I can reorganize the page for you. Just let me know.
