Another odd thing I've been thinking about, but the way the Annual handled Magenta makes me wonder if they were thinking to angle her for a throwback return as a heroine. We list it as a conclusion of sorts to her character on our trope page, but the actual end of it in the comic is kind of... open. Way more idealistic and happy than the past, but interestingly open.
I dunno, it just kind of hit me as a "we could end it here if we want to, but we left it wide open just in case we don't" kind of deal, and with the minor rush of sympathetic villains getting a shot of being heroes in DC these days, I wonder if that factored into it.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.theres also the sage and strength forces plus 2 more
So the Still Force is basically entropy and/or the eventual heat death of the universe?
Nice to see Iris remembers her wedding to Barry in today's issue. She doesn't tell him though
Who do you think Inmate: Crisis at the end of Flash War is?
After reading the post about the "Still Force", I thought It'd be funny if they ressurected The Turtle (slowest man alive) and made him be connected to it in some way. Then I looked up his wiki and got spoiled that that's exactly what happened. What are the odds.
Anyway, I would like it if someone could tell me in what issue Mark Waid complained about people whining to him about bringing back Barry Allen. I've been trying to find it... It was apparently in one of The Return of Barry Allen issues.
And speaking of which, where is the page image for that story from?
"I think if you're capable of entertaining people, then you are doing a good thing. - Stan LeeJeremy Adams' run seems to be one of the all-time greats. We're less than a year into it, and I'm already ranking it alongside Johns, Waid, and Fox/Broome. Irey defeating Doctor Nightmare by going to sleep and making her dreams real, Wally curb-stomping a bajillion supervillains trying to get the Glaive, Wally talking Heat Wave out of his crime spree, Wally getting sassed by a customer at a car repair job, Superfriends randomly showing up, Jay Garrick professing Christian faith, Wally freed of any further connections to Heroes in Crisis, Wally running around with dinosaurs, there are so many awesome scenes in this run.

The five best Superman writers are Dan Jurgens, Jeph Loeb, Geoff Johns, Kurt Busiek, and Peter J. Tomasi.Adams' run is currently pretty damn good, it kinda reminds me of JMS' early Spidey run, it has nice concepts that utilize new and fun concepts that also take advantage of Wally's marriage after it got derailed by vicious editors. Let's hope it doesn't end up like JMS...
Which is funny because the end of JMS was basically a bad ending version of something Wally went through himself
I wonder what's gonna happen if/when Adams tries to make changes to wallys status quo, will the powers that be allow it or is it gonna be like Sins Past?
From now on, my mental image of Doctor Fate is going to be that he's the guy who tells you to rotate the comic.
The five best Superman writers are Dan Jurgens, Jeph Loeb, Geoff Johns, Kurt Busiek, and Peter J. Tomasi. With all the "it was me, Barry!" memes I wonder if Eobard and Dio would get along
They probably would, now I'm thinking of an alternate Flashpoint where Hunter gives Flash a boost to make him go back to the past and take the bad guys gun during Hunter's origin incident
On the "awesome scenes" front, add Wally manipulating the Gemworld equivalent of a sandworm into smashing a castle open.
The five best Superman writers are Dan Jurgens, Jeph Loeb, Geoff Johns, Kurt Busiek, and Peter J. Tomasi.Avery Ho is now over in Justice League Incarnate. Could this be a sign that speedsters are finally going to get more love from DC?
Maybe. In the latest issue of The Flash, Jai got his powers back, and a new codename, Surge. Irey's wanting a new codename (because Bart took back the Impulse name) and solicits say the current Kid Flash Wallace West is planning for his future - could he be moving on to a new identity, meaning Irey becomes the new Kid Flash? And it seems Linda's been given powers too!

I love the Wally/Spectre conversation from issue 779.
The five best Superman writers are Dan Jurgens, Jeph Loeb, Geoff Johns, Kurt Busiek, and Peter J. Tomasi. The Wally/Wallace hangout ruled in the latest issue
Agree!

Introducing... The Still Force.
"The Still Force is an energy in the universe that's trying to slow everything down entropically, trying to stop everything, trying to bring everything to a standstill," Snyder explained to Den of Geek. "And it has its own characters, it has its own figures that are connected to it who might not even know they are. And it's a complete enigma to Barry at this point. One of Barry's greatest villains, Gorilla Grodd, might have a leg up on him when it comes to figuring out how to control this thing."
"The idea, really, is to show that these characters think they know their powers, think they know their mythologies, think they know even sometimes their histories and their missions," he continued. "And then to sort of blow those things up."
