I own Volume 1 DVD, English dub.
So, I am interested.
I am also surprised at how few ppl know this show exists.

Well, the Flash animation is really fluiHOLYFLIPPINCRACK IT'S HAND-DRAWN!!!!
One of the reasons to like the show.
Well, I don't think a lot of people in the US have heard of the book series to begin with, and it's not playing in any channel either (unless PBS or Sprout or one of those stations are playing it). I will check it out!
Just when I thought that this thread is doomed....
Kyun@ It's a really nice show. A great stress buster that doesn't insult adult sensibilities. And you gotta love Da Trap. I recommend it.
Klark Kent@ At least, not many English speaking people knew it exists. And I don't think it could be technically called a "dub", since we're animating it here using the English track, not the Italian track as most people assume it to be.

WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised.Nah man. I wouldn't try to doom a thread about an awesome-looking show.
Well, I'm not guaranteeing that you will fall in love with it at first sight; since as always, Your Mileage May Vary, but hey, I liked it. AFAIK, it's available on Amazon Canada (and they do international orders and the DVD's region free! WOOT!!)
And oh, check out this book/show's TV Tropes page if you're interested.
WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised. So, what other cartoon might you compare it to? From what I know of the books, I'm thinking it's a bit like Duck Tales or Tale Spin: kind of a comedy adventure show. Is that the general idea?

Yes, kinda in that vein; although the main character's job and situation makes me think "rodent Tintin".

WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised.Wow! I have fond memories of the book series, even going so far as to lug home piles of the books. I sure hope that an American television station picks it up, and not a channel like the HUB, for that matter. (Can't get that channel because it's an add-on station or something)
The crew working on the show already has my utmost respect, just because you're drawing it traditionally. Flash-animated shows seem to dominate TV nowadays.
Curse you, Sasuke's brother......I will get you back.....someHOW. ~Naruto: Comedy Spoof Fandub Series ShowI LOVED the books when I was in the second grade, man. A traditionally-animated TV show? Awesome!
I just wish money were easier for me to get to, in which case I'd buy both seasons. Being 14 can suck sometimes.
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘Only the first season is out. Season 2 is still in production.
And also, I really think the characters in this show are a lot cuter and more fun than their original book incarnations. That's just me, though.
WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised. That is because the books were/are made for a younger audience.
That makes it odd; if that were the case, then the book illustrations should be cuter and not the other way around. Not that I'm complaining though(else why should this little guy be in my avatar? ).
WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised.I think it's the coloring, and the eyes.
Geronimo himself◊ looks a little more portly in the illustrations, with beady eyes that make him look a bit older than I'm assuming he actually is. He also◊ has this angled line for a mouth that, to be honest, looks just a tiny bit unsettling.
Compare to our page image◊, where he looks a bit slimmer, his eyes are larger and "cuter", and he had a curved mouth. He also looks quite a bit younger than the book illustrations.
Not to mention that he lost the glasses * . I am guessing that they did away with the glasses and made him a bit slimmer, not to make him look "younger", but to make him easier to animate with the style the animation directors have in mind; and also to make the overall character design more "anthro" than rodent; since they look more rodent in the books IMO.

Thought I'd post a favorite piece of dialogue from the 2nd season:
Geronimo: Trap! Quick, your bubblegum!
Trap: Sorry, last piece.
Geronimo: No, the one you're chewing!
Trap: YUUUUCK!
Geronimo(exasperated): I'M NOT GOING TO CHEW IT! I'm going to use it to try to patch up the balloon!
Trap: Oooooooh.
(Takes G's hand and spits gum in it.)
If anyone finds that corny, sue me. I'm just that shallow.

WARNING: This troper is a severe monomaniac. Caution is advised.I got the comic yesterday, still haven't read it, but I'll get around to it.
I found the bit where Trap fooled the entire town, by dressing up as an alien, absolutely hilarious.
That also confirmed Geronimo as one of the few sane mice in New Mouse City.

Geronimo, one of the few sane mice?
But I also think Trap is important simply for the fact that he's the ONLY source of genuine comic relief. Only he can do something as stupid as chewing on stones and still look funny.
~can't get enough of his "I'm a bug I'm a bug I'm a bug" adlib in the 2nd season~

I'd LOVE to use that in Image Boards.
I don't have the software, so I can't turn that scene in "The Mask Of Rat-Jitsu" (Trap going crazy for the stinkbomb cheese) into a Fauxtivational Poster. Too bad, I'd like to make one, with the text "Goffinburg Blue: The stinkiest Chekhov's Gun ever!"

You can also use MS Paint (PC) and Paintbrush (Mac).
Say, how many of you here are familiar with the Geronimo Stilton books? I just thought that I'd bring this up here out of curiosity; and the fact that I'm involved with the production of its animated adaptation...both seasons.
Here's a couple of clips in case you're interested:
