I won't be available till Sunday night, but it doesn't matter much to me.
That is intense.
How does move learning work in the PMD games? Are TMs a thing that exist?
Yes, there are TMs in the PMD world.
My fanficMoves are pretty much the same as in the normal games.
But I don't think there are H Ms.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!HMs do not exist in PMD, but TMs do. There are also factories and such that are friend areas for electric Pokemon, implying that they could be made in a similar place,
Okay. Thanks!
HMs and TMs are pretty much the same thing in the PMD games. In the first game, a few HMs were required to enter certain dungeons, but this was taken out in the second game.
My fanficI think H Ms do exist. I have a couple of them IIRC.
Ninjask'd.
Also, Pokemon can use all abilities of their species, not sure about DW ones though.

Gyru will be so broken~
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.I think we should keep DW abilities separate.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Yeah, I agree with keeping DW abilities separate.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Yeah, Pokemon found in the Dream World only have their DW Ability, and it's impossible for Pokemon not brought back from the Dream World to have that Ability. So I don't think those would be included.
That creepy new Professor guy from B2/W2 seems to be researching DW Abilities, so that situation may change. But after discussing it with Pentigan, I don't think B2/W2 will happen for nearly a year in the WAAPT-verse.
Not entirely true, you can catch a Telepathy Musharna within the Dreamyard on Fridays, and Zen Mode is a Hidden Ability.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Fair enough. Although anything in the Dream Yard could just be brought over from the Dream World, since it's sleeping under the effects of Dream Mist that sends you there.
Gyru will still be broken~
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Alright, peoplemons. As you may or may not have noticed recently, Lake has been searching the Orange Islands for Tempest so that he can finally learn where on Pokéearth his family is. And while I have been enjoying it...it's been rather separate from everyone else, which isn't really a good thing, no?
So, in a discussion with Tracer the other day, he mentioned that it would probably be a good idea to get other people involved. At the same time, I was trying to think up some characters to be the minions of an evil Krookodile called Shade, who I am planning on making a recurring villain as well as a rival for Lake.
So then he said "Why not let other people fill those roles?"
Which has lead to me putting out an interest check for a little side-plot we could do as part of PMD. But first...
A little bit of background
Shade the Krookodile belongs to a rich, if oblivious trainer from Castelia City in Unova. Since his trainer prefers to spend most of his time partying rather than paying attention to his Pokémon, Shade takes advantage of this by trying to take over the world whenever his back his turned, with the help of his teammates who, willingly or not, serve as his minions.
One day, while his trainer is off on a few week long trip to party in Nimbasa City, Shade and his minions stumble across a few shards of a certain plot crystal. Upon touching it, they open a portal to the PMD world. Upon investigating, they find nothing but a small and rather primitive town of Pokémon, who lack any technology whatsoever.
Not only that, but the strange crystal shards contain untold amounts of power, easily enough to power all manner of doomsday devices! With such power, and next to nobody to oppose him, Shade is poised to take the PMD world for himself!
And that's where this all kicks off.
So, how do I get involved with this?
As mentioned previously, I was unable to come up with any characters to be Shade's minions, so I am opening those roles up to be filled by anyone interested in taking part in this arc. As one of Shade's minions, you will be helping him take over PMD via any means necessary. Be it a Freeze Ray, Giant Mecha, or my personal favorite an Orbital Laser Cannon! >:D
Ooh, sounds like fun! What sort of character can I be?
Well, here's the guidelines you need to follow if you want to create a character. Don't worry, they're pretty loose. Honest.
- Species: You may be any species of Pokémon that you wish, just as long as it's not a legendary. Shiny Pokémon are fine, however.
- Morality: While these guys may be "evil" we're not talking Napoleon or Lanius evil here. More like Saturday Morning Cartoon villain stuff. They're not the kind of Pokémon who would torture or kill somebody for the fun of it, but would rather attempt something completely outlandish like steal the Nimbasa City amusement park (which they actually tried last summer. It didn't go so well). Think Team Rocket from the Pokémon Anime (pre-Black and White) and you've got a good idea of what we're going for here.
- Backstory: A backstory for your character is welcome, but not required. But it helps to have a good idea of how you character ended up in the position of Shade's minion. Peoplemons are shaped by their experiences, after all.
Can I take part if I don't want to be a minion?
Sure! Somebody needs to stop these guys from taking over the world, and the key to that will be getting those shards off of them! However, doing so won't be so easy, as they've already integrated them into a manner of doomsday machines. Destroy them, and you'll get those shards back, as well as send Shade and his minions running back to Earth with their tails between their legs!
Hang on, Luke. Don't you suck at arcs?
YES. Yes I do. The last one I was in charge of did not go well AT ALL. And I'm really not keen on repeating that. So to run things smoothly, I'm going to need the help of anyone who decides to take part, if only to avoid making myself the star of the show. Again.
So, that's pretty much everything. If you would like to get involved, post your character ideas here or in the Creative Chat, as well as any questions you may have.

On Luke's idea
I think I'll contribute a techie Galvantula. Who always carries a wrench in his pedilaps. :P
Contact Me!On Luke's idea
I'm considering adding a Beautifly minion.
Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.While it sounds interesting, I've got roughly a dozen new characters to work on in the PMD, and Crewe has asked me to cover Black Knight once I've seen enough of her in the show. Sorry.
^ You don't have to take Black Knight if you've got enough on your plate, Wolf. I can handle her. Biowulf doesn't talk much anyway, so he's pretty easy to write for.
As for Luke's thing...
I have a perpetually bored, female Ursaring in mind, named Bernadette (but nicknamed Bernie), who goes along with Shade because it's easier than trying to get out of it.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Aw, I was excited.
If everyone's okay with this suggestion, we need to set a start date.
I suggest either tomorrow or Sunday.
Also, please note: When you get there doesn't affect whether you can participate or not. It just affects if you'll be there for the kickoff or not.
