Wonder Woman 1984 has been pushed back to June 2020. It was supposed to open in November of next year, but there's a sequel to a a small, mildly successful film coming out around the same time they may have been worried about...

DCEU = Oof
Mileena MadnessIsn't that's the time an MCU film will usually be released too?
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?: Er, we don't know much about Frozen 2 yet, do we?
(Though I'm guessing we'll see a teaser come Ralph Breaks the Internet...)
I don't think it's a big deal in this case. They made a wide choice; Wonder Woman was a big hit, but the first Frozen was a goddamn unstoppable juggernaut at the box office. It's very likely WW 1984 would've ended up caught up in its wake.
The biggest competition WW 1984 would have in June is Maleficent II, and I'm not expecting all that much out of that.
Urgh...they are still making Maleficent II? I was kind of thinking that someone has been smart enough to cancel the project after the numbers of the Alice in Wonderland sequel.

Ewan and Winstead in a film together. Oh the press tour should be, interesting in light of recent events.
Also Black Mask as the villain helps explain the R-rating. He's a sadist who gets off on torturing people. I mean he kidnapped Catwoman's sister and brother in law in the comics, tortured the latter to death with power tools, then forced the former to EAT parts of her husband's corpse (including his eyeballs). She had a mental breakdown and needed to be institutionalized as a consequence of this.
He also brutally tortured Stephanie Brown/Spoiler, a teenage girl, during the War Games storyline as well.
If those aren't "R-rated" then I don't know what is.
That's how her sister went semi-supervillain and turned into Sister Maggie, right?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Pretty much, although she called herself Sister Zero.
Eh. Black Mask never really benefited as a character from the sadism bit, it seems a bit gratuitously grimdark. He could have just killed Stephen without any of the torture crap and the e d result would be the same.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."The same can be said about all the villans how used torture, isnt? it exist because they wanted to used it, so I dont see why not.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Yeah. Hence, gratuitous. Something like The Punisher or 24 where its (ostensibly) "good" guys resorting to doing a bad thing can add shades of grey. Black Mask is a homicidal power hungry crime lord, we don't need him to torture people to know he's bad. There is also a debate to be had about the fact that this being a Birds Of Prey movie the torture victim is likely to be female in a film about badass, empowered women. Not quite sure how that would play out satisfactorily.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel.""Black Mask is a homicidal power hungry crime lord, we don't need him to torture people to know he's bad."
Maybe but it dosent detract ether, In punisher and 24 Uusually the real point is to make hima edgy and grey badass, the point is to make him more heatable by the audience.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Well, I'm wondering if the idea is along the lines of Kilgrave on Jessica Jones, with Black Mask specifically selected as a villain who can be depicted as truly reprehensible while being played by the most genial of actors, with fewer preconceived notions attached than the more iconic Batman villains.
Now that I can sort of see working although while Kilgrave having a superficial sort of charm masking his true vileness worked, there doesn't seem to be anything genial or affable about comics Black Mask, though they could be taking him in a different direction as he is B-list as Batman villains go.

I keep forgetting Dante Basco is old enough to have a daughter of professional acting age.
I really do hate the Internet sometimes.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."How... old is she? That photo looks old and she literally looks like an eight-year-old in it.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Cassandra was eight in the comics when she fled her father, resurfacing later to the Batfamily at eighteen.
EDIT: Ella Jay Basco is twelve years old.

I'm really bummed about Wonder Woman 1984 being pushed back. I was really looking forward to it. At least I'll have Aquaman and Shazam! to tide me over.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
Superma is getting is sequel and there is a batman movie, so I wont rule that yet.
