"This show ends after Season 69"
"We be we baby!"Plankton and Spongebob on the beach, much? That episode was just annoying and sloppy. I don't even care about plagiarism, I care about TAWOG using a lazy kid's cartoon trope and not finding some hilarious and totally saving way to subvert or deconstruct the concept like they usually do. That was lower than Ruby Gloom.

The one where Darwin psychologically tortures a bomb.
H.B. WardThat episode wasn't all that bad to me. It was kind of refreshing to have a Darwin only episode.
"We be we baby!"@“The One”: What a coincidence—I was just listening to A Kind of Magic last week.
So I guess Tobias melting Sarah’s face was real, because that only needed a hair dryer.
Poor Sarah.
That was a good episode.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI like how the same episode shows Tobias' Inferiority Superiority Complex, but spelled out that Gumball is a straight narcissist. It's kind of unusual that the latter is the nicer, more self-deprecating one—usually, it's the other way around.
Tobias has a weird sort of character arc. At first he was jealous of how much attention Gumball got, and insisted he should have been the main character. Then, he got his wish, which nearly ruined everything. Now he's trying to get closer to Gumball for fame by proxy. Tobias confirmed as final villain.
This episode also kind of says that Gumball is self-conscious about expressing his enormous ego, which might track for most except for his most jerkass-y appearances.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Heh I love those jokes where the characters are apparently doing something really awesome but then its revealed to all be in their head & what's really happening is mundane & usually embarrassing.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Maybe if he was openly self-confident, his insecurities would stop getting in the way of his more positive traits. Or maybe he'd just be Zach.
Although to give Tobias some credit, he still managed to actually land a couch on top of Darwin. And really, they didn't show the "real" version of attacking Banana Joe or Sarah because he totally could have done either those.

So guys, The Father aired today instead of The Cage. So, the episode deals with Frankie again and it's a watch.
So that’s why they finally gave Penny’s sister a name.
I hope we see Frankie a few more times this season.
Why did "The Father" air instead of "The Cage"?
"The Father" was all right. More songs and feels than the hilarity this show is known for IMO.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyMaybe a last minute change, but it may well have been some scheduling error that wasn't corrected in time. Multiple TV Guides still list "The Cage" as the episode that aired.

The Cringe triples down on the awkwardness between Gumball and Hot Dog Guy as it turns they were awkward since they were babies.
I think "dad jokes" is probably the best unit of measurement for cringe.
It was amusing when Teri was in the background of the crumpled-paper-doll flashback, pretty much looking the same as always.

I feel like that bit with Banana Joe is the most blatant dick joke they've ever done in this show. Which is something, because Banana Joe has been basically the character embodiment of "dick jokes and slapstick" since, like, the second season.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think the "zipper" scene◊ in "The Joy" is still more blatant. Or a cold shower shrinking Hot Dog Guy down to a nub.

So even though the final episode has likely been written, how do you think the show will end? I was thinking of some fourth-wall breaking ending where they get sent to "rerun-ville" and we see cameos from the casts of other cancelled/ended CN shows, but a better idea would be Dr. Wrecker trying to send all of Elmore into the void, and the Wattersons (and the other characters) try to stop it.

I think that bridge everyone falls off will be finish and connect Gumball to the real world. Or connect them to other Cartoon Network TV shows.
I like the idea that all of Elmore does end up in the Void, but then everyone realizes that's almost the same as if no one was.
I mean the real world with real people not cartoon characters.
It is often, though not consistently, implied that is what the people outside of Elmore are like.
Anyone else felt bad about the TV monster?
