I just marathon'd my way through the game. Holy... holy crap that's emotionally exhausting.
If I were to give Steins;Gate a rating, the number of stars would stretch out to infinity.
Are you saying the game is better?
Is it aany harder to understand?
Also that's impressive. How many visual novels have you played before this?
Ahh dub enthusiasts~
The game is better than the anime, but that's only because the game is able to go into more depth, and doesn't have to have only one ending.
And it's not the best VN ever necessarily, it's just one of if not the best games (period) I've ever played. The story is just that good.
As always, my objections to the dubs come from A.) Having a personal preference for Japanese audio just stylistically and B.) Preferring the most original language possible using side subs to give extra information as necessary.
Honestly, the US versions of the memes was really off-putting...

I enjoyed the dubs put up by Funi. I'm probably gonna watch the dub, even though I've completed the VN.
Tomu, we know you don't like English dubs. No need to remind that to people every time someone posts something about them. It's getting annoying.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerHey, I'm talking about the memes-the memes! That's a completely separate issue.
Also, it's an issue that the subs don't avoid ;x
I don't really want to dredge up the debate, but I have to say I'm enjoying the dub.
To me it seems to highlight the dialogue, which previously had been more background to me. I think it'll make it worth it to watch the whole thing again.
Do want!
In other news, WhyNot had finally released their Blu-Ray Steins;Gate subs!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0Subbed version of the trailer.
It seems Okabe is having some existential problems.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0Waaaaaaah, I want this mooooooviiiiiiiie
I recently marathoned this show and loved it. The movie trailer looks great, waiting for subs is gonna be a killer.
Does Reading Steiner activate if Krisu time leaps? It should, but I guess it would be difficult to work in if it's not from Okabe's perspective.
From her perspective that would just mean that the Okabe she spent time with is replaced the moment she returns to the present. From a technical perspective both the time leap machine and the Dmail work by sending messages to the past, so it's difficult to see what the difference would be.
Well, I am hyped for this. The OVA was pretty boring, but this looks good. I'm glad they found a way to bring the time machine back. I can only hope it's not destroyed for somewhat questionable reasons again.
But there I go pre-judging.

TBH, I just gave up on understanding the dynamics of how crap works in Steins;Gate. Some of the way things happen in the extended canon (drama C Ds) seems contradictory, for instance. Bleh.
Yeah... As long as the story is compelling and doesn't dwell on mechanics that are broken it will still be enjoyable.
Just wondering, did you read the visual novel?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0That I did.
Now that I think about it, the heroine seeking or the hero actually sounds like a pretty good plot.
I just hope they remember to throw some comic relief or daily antics in there too.
