Also, not-quite-yay for my earlier desperation: I found out my Facebook friend only sent the story's link to a couple of her friends instead of linking them to my latest Facebook post with instructions and all, so I panicked and sent five messages telling them to leave feedback on the website as well as on social-media.

Very few of my friends follow my instructions to do that, so when people start sending plain links to their friends, who then say "lol Sharysa, I'll send you an email," I only think "OH GOD, REMEMBER TO POST YOUR REVIEW ON THE WEBSITE, TOO! A MILLION FOLLOWERS ON SOCIAL-MEDIA DON'T MEAN ANYTHING IF NONE OF THEM POST ON THE GODDAMN WEBSITE!!!"

But yeah, I'm in much less of a bad-thoughts-spiral after getting off work and eating food, so I sent my friend an apology for my dumb reaction to her help.

And another FB friend said they're reading through the novel as well, so more yay.

My audiobook for Heroes of the Sigil is coming out in less than two weeks. I got to listen to an advanced version and it'really good. aaaa.

Well, I may have the sensitivity reader that I was looking for (in the Writer-Critic thread)—I'm just waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully they'll have a positive response!

Good news! Wrote a few pages of The Crocodile God's next chapter last night.

Bad news: It was at 1AM.

Late last year, this festival moved to my town. Unrelated to that, at the start of January I wrote a TV pilot because inspiration struck.

Now, less than 2 months later, we're deep into pre-production. Most of the main cast is set. We have a website. And we start crowdfunding in a little over a week.

We also have an actor with a recognizable name who might — MIGHT — be interested (but that's all I'll say about it for now).

Suddenly it feels like my filmmaking career is taking off faster than I expected it to. Fingers crossed this momentum stays up.

Hi there, I'm a newbie to this forum. I've been writing for some time now, and have a book nearly finished at the moment, along with writing one previously (unsold).

Congrats!

Welp— the campaign went live this afternoon and we've already raised $2200 for this TV pilot!

The actor we were in talks with fell through, but out of the ashes we came up with an even cooler short-list.

I'm really happy with our main cast. And our crew. And the worldbuilding. I'm just all kinds of giddy right now!

Tonight and tomorrow, I hammer out the third (and hopefully final) draft of the script.

What is it about showers that make them such good brainstorming devices?

Its the moderately pleasant "white noise" on your skin that filters out external distractions.

New cover for book 3, still in progress◊. I'm pretty excited. I just gotta. finish editing the danged thing.

I'm not sure that this quite fits here, but if we're including media other than the written word, I recently released my first halfway-serious (non-jam) indie game just recently. It's a simple-and-brief horror thing, called "Night River".

It hasn't made a huge impact thus far (that I've seen, at least), but I'm happy with it, and I've even received a couple of positive comments on it. ^_^

This book is murdering my mind. I think after like, 150k my brain starts to go sideways in terms of length I am definitely gonna do that hiatus after book 3. I gotta. my brain is short circuiting and I'm just staring holes into my work
