Speaking of which, the B-plot of the latest episode was all about how the Empire (and the First Order) doesn't allow compassion between its soldiers - complete with the grizzled old imperial Ace in the A-plot lampshading that that sort of thing is why the Empire lost.
For the rest of the episode, I really like that they remembered Kaz is incompetent at lots of things, but not piloting. It's a nice twist that as a combat pilot, Kaz is actually all of the Aces' superior.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah Tie Fighters were the standard cause they were fast and cheap. First Order Tie Fighters are at least better than Imperial ones because they have a shield.
Let's also not forget that back in Rebels Thrawn's big plan, was just to mass produce a better Tie Fighter.
To be fair, TIEs were almost always deployed en mass. If they're all firing, they can put up a wall of fire. They're the spaceship version of a phalanx. It's quite a clever design actually.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWell yes massive amounts of them and them being cheap was the whole point of them.
Sorry, I meant to address the fact they have only front and a little rear visibility. It helps them be a flying phalanx
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI really liked Nina's character design, though her being a spy after all was way too obvious. Doubtful she's going to keep being one in later appearances though.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So, since I have Disney+, I figure I may as well watch Clone Wars on my downtime.
When it was on TV it was super hit or miss in the first season and I remember hearing people having a recommended way to view it while trimming out the fat... can anyone point me in the direction of that, or any consensus on episodes worth skipping/a point to start at?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The last few episodes of Resistance were neat, though I think we've had this season's first "Kaz is a screwup who makes the plot happen by constantly screwing up" in Relic Hunters, which is a concept I thought we were past. Luckily, it was just in that one episode.
Good odds say one or both of the orphan kids are force sensitive.
Also, Rendezvous Point was a great episode, though I hope the Tam arc ends with some kind of twist instead of ending with just a straightforward reversal. Like, maybe her friend defects from the Empire, but she doesn't (at least at first), and spends a few episodes being guilty Zuko for a while.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I’ve been watching The Clone Wars with my girlfriend over the last couple years, interspersing seasons with other things we want to watch. She’s never seen it before.
It took us a while to get through Seasons 1 and 2, but she’s really been digging Season 3, and since we’ve reached Nightsisters, the show has become one of, if not her favourite Star Wars thing, and where we had been discussing what to watch after Season 3 she’s talking about starting Season 4. And I’ve warned her that once we watch 4 she will want to watch 5 right after. She doesn’t care. She’s all-in at this point.
She knows that Ahsoka survives (thanks to her friend’s ass of an ex boyfriend) but not what happens to her, and that Maul is alive (thanks to Solo). She also knows that something happens to the Nightsisters, thanks to Jedi: Fallen Order, but she hasn’t been around for most of Merrin’s scenes so doesn’t really know what (she was very upset to find out that the cool group of Dark Side witches she just met a week ago are going to be wiped out at some point). And she hates Commander Cody with a passion. She made me promise that we get an explanation for why the clones turned against the Jedi so easily (I assured her the show would explain), and made me pause Fallen Order the other day to rant about Order 66 and how TCW makes it that much more painful because we get to see how human the clones are.
Does anyone else think it's somewhat irritating that the last star wars series had a cast consisting mostly of humans with only a few droids/aliens? I know the movies have this as well but you could chalk that up to the special effects budget but animation has less of an issue with that. I would like a see a series where the main cast consists mostly of nonhumans or at the very least has a nonhuman viewpoint character.
Humans are more relateable to us since we're humans over aliens.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."That’s a load of crock. 1) we have plenty of other stories that don’t star humans and 2) it’s the same logic men use to not make things starring women - which is a loaf of crock.
i. hear. a. sound.Personally I'd like to see some of the aliens from Legends like the Kadri'Ra, the Galidyn, the Entymal and the Felacatians.
If anything, we’re sometimes less sympathetic towards humans and relate to the non human characters more.
One Strip! One Strip!Just look how popular Ahsoka is.
The official return date is February 17.
Gotta make sure I'm fully caught up by then.
I'm also curious what's the next big Star Wars cartoon.

They are the last living friends of Anakin and surely Luke would want to know everything about his father as a Jedi Knight. But then I'm reminded of how ST turned Luke into.
I loved what the ST did with Luke, but to each his own.
Ya know it’s funny, Ashoka became disenchanted with the Jedi but I’m sure even she would find Luke’s behavior about them annoying.
Though there’s a lot of time between the OT & ST. She could have met him when he was at his best.
I mean he became a pitiable (I was gonna say pathetic first but I feel like that’s too harsh) sadsack. It’s understandably love it or hate it & not necessarily the best for character interactions.
