Okay, I'll admit that I've been inconsistent with playing the game due to real life, but I'm going to try to frequent this thread regularly. I just moved people in to Colony 6 but realized that I have spending issues. Does anyone know how to farm money during Chapter 7?

Side quests. Those suckers will give you so much money that you won't give it a second thought, ever.

I need ways of getting money that aren’t side quests to assist with Colony 6’s reconstruction. Also, since I’m not good at figuring out what gear is best to buy, I’ve been splurging in-game…

Farming gold was so much easier in Xenoblade 2. I wonder how hard it’ll be in Xenoblade 3…

Gold in Xenoblade 3 is completely useless. You get a ton of it but almost never anything worth spending it on, and the few times there are (a handful of sidequests which require or are expedited by paying NP Cs or purchasing of enemy drops), they're all lategame at which point you have more money than you could ever hope to spend.

Honestly I wish you could just put some of that money towards buying blue and red Nopon coins in the Challenge realm, or farm some of the mats for Masha's jewelry skills with it.

Regarding gear in 1, the number of gem slots is usually more useful than anything else about them. You don't have to buy armor very often as enemies are more likely to drop weapons and armor that has empty slots. Instead that money should be spent on buying Art Books.

The only things worth buying in 3 are the ingredients for Manana's cooking, and that's only if you own the DLC (the merchant for said ingredients are unlocked by completing Ino's recruitment quest).

If sidequests bore you that much in 1, getting the materials/items for the generic ones can be solved by trading with NPCs in various regions. Using a guide to figure out which ones to consult is the way I completed those in no time at all.

The only time money ever became an issue in the franchise was with X, due to how FrontierNAV always gave you a pittance even when optimized while the prices at the stores were always large.

I remember money being worthless in X too, but that might be because I prioritized exploring and setting up probes over story early on.

When I reached the point in the story where it said you need 30% exploration to proceed, I was already at like 60% (don't remember if either is those exact numbers, but the ratio was something like that).

So I had a ton of time for frontiernav to give me cash before I actually had anything to spend it on.

Various materials and collectible items can be sold off for a decent profit. I'd save some of the more valuable ones for trading purposes though.

Doing the Ardun / Armu quest in the post game.

Unfortunately, I've only now looked up how to do it, and I'm not getting any of the types I'm supposed to get.

Beyond that, I'm grinding up a lot of remaining classes. I suspect that as things stand, I may just have to hold off until New Game Plus (and that will wait until I can get the DLC), because both are taking a long ass time.

But at least it's not grinding for KOS-MOS.

The Armu quest will finish eventually regardless what you pick, its just that the choices said by the guide are the quickest path. Requires the fewest breeding cycles.

The list of options that appear varies depending on progress, not number of cycles finished. So eventually an option that's mentioned in the list of steps will appear.

I believe the recommended order was:

• Naughty Ardun and Considerate Armu
• Gourmet Ardun and Excitable Armu
• Naughty Ardun and Brawny Armu

You can buy the needed items to feed the cows from various venders as well.

Even without the DLC?

Yeah, without DLC. Every feeding step has at least one item that's available from a shop somewhere in the world.

Although for one of the steps the only shop item gives 1% per item IIRC.

I did it. I finished the Armu/Ardun quest!

And now it's just levelling up the remaining classes and I'll be done....at least until I can finally get the damn DLC.

So would this be called Lucky Clover?

The rewards you really want in Xenoblade 1 sidequests are extra skill trees and Monado Armour.

While I continuing to level up the remaining (non DLC) classes, I'm also looking for any Unique monsters I haven't fought yet, using th remaining list of of Soulhacker skills I have.

It's currently ten Arts, and 12 skills. That's a lot let. I'm genuinely shocked I still had that many to go, but I've been taking care of it slowly.

New quest added in 3 to get the Aegis skins for Swordfighter instead of having to get the Pyra or Mythra amiibo.

The quest starts with Miibomii who is hanging out at the Llyn Nyddwr camp in the Fornis region.

Cool. In the meantime, I've found a few more Unique monsters as well. I'm doing quite well on filling out my list of Unique Monsters/Soulhacker arts and skills list.

Still haven't been able to get the DLC yet however.

I think I gave up on getting all the Soulhacker stuff after about five Unique monsters. At least the game tags them if you target them.

Anyway, has there been any word on what's next for Xenoblade? I've heard people talk about a Warriors-type game, but I'm pretty sure that's just wishful thinking so far. And Future Redeemed ended on a Sequel Hook that I've heard recanonizes Xenosaga and Xenogears, but it was too vague for me to call it confirmed.

No news so far but we do know that they confirmed more games are planned. Based on the implications from Future Redeemed, most likely the next game will be a distant Xenosaga sequel.

Gears still isn't quite fully recanonized, it still exists in the nebulous realm of "probably Broad Strokes canon" that it was with respect to Xenosaga since mutually exclusive things happening on certain dates gets in the way of them being more directly linked, but some of the information that Future Redeemed stacks on top of existing Xenogears nods in background info for Xenoblade 2 has shifted the needle a little closer towards Xenogears having some place in some far-flung planet of the Saga/Blade universe than not.

The only thing anyone who knows anything has said is that they intend to continue making Xenoblade games. Past that it's all guesses, fever dreams, uncles working at Monolithsoft, and making stuff up.

Got 3 Soulhacker skills left, and have already done all the Soulhacker arts.

Still got a few remaining character classes, but it's slow going when I'm just randomly grinding.

If the next game isn't either X2 or at the very least a port of X, I swear to god...
