@Lord Vatek: Malos lack of chill is what's so great though.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. That's how Tora says it.
Though Pyra quotes him on it, so we get to hear her say it too.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Totally something a Nopon would say.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Basically Pyra makes tea for Tora and Nia, and Tora is all “needs more meido” and tries to explain what’s appealing about that. Nia tells him he’s being a weirdo, but he still asks Pyra whether she wants to learn how to be more cute and appealing or whatever. Or his idea of it, anyway.
You’re given the option to either have her say “yes” or “do you think Rex would like that?” but she takes him seriously about it either way.
For the record, I find Tora endearing most of the time, but that was really cringeworthy.
(I don’t think this needs spoiler tags, since it’s got absolutely nothing to do with anything important, and we’ve already been talking about it anyway)

Tora is already established as a bit of a perv at least, and it's clear that everyone but Pyra is annoyed or bemused by his behaviour.
It is kinda cute how when Tora is 'readjusting' the settings Pyra is all smiley but Rex is all 'Really?'

Haha, cock jokes in a Nintendo game.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Give 4th party member a common core
pulls Boreas
Oh what the hell. And this is right after pulling Perun from their first rare crystal. I'm considering Overdriving Dagas to improve the party's elemental spread.

So i'm at Chapter 2, and any advice for the combat system, it's doing interesting things, but man do enemies soak up damage, and it has a nasty habit of letting high level enemies walk in and splatter my team with no chance of resistance. Do I need more Weapon Chips? Rare Blades? Other tactics I should know of?
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Food that speeds Arts and Special progression. Anything above .3 is going to let you spam arts and specials like you're playing XBC. Add in some Blade switching Aux Cores and set up a one person topple chqin (bonus points if you can fit a launch or crit-on-topple in). After that just keep spending your character's affinity and weapon points.
Well, I just reached the point where Rex gets his second plot-mandated Rare Blade.
This brings me up to a total of 3 Rare Blades on Rex (2 Attacker + 1 Healer) and 2 on Nia (both Healer), with 4 unused Rare Core Crystals remaining.
3 auto attack combo with an art will boost that art's power.
Where there's life, there's hope.Anyone else find it difficult to use Arts after a full auto attack combo with dual wielded weapons because you can't tell how many hits the combo is supposed to have?
Also, has anyone found any Driver accessories in this that are equivalent to Haste gems from the original? Accessories that speed up the rate at which you perform auto-attacks by a percentage, reducing the amount of time between each hit of a combo, the amount of time between the end of one combo and the start of the next combo, the time between when you stop moving and start attacking?
Honestly there are too many weapons to memorize the timing for. Pick three or four to learn and leave the rest to heaven.
There's no Haste equivalent that I can tell, but the Cancel Driver Arts Into Driver Arts upgrade lets you up the tempo somewhat.
My issue right now is that I'm about 24 hours in and have 3 Rare Blades equipped to Rex, but I can't fully get the hang of the timing for the non-Pyra ones.
One of the others is a Healer with dual fists and the other is an Attacker with dual Spoilers.
Really? I've found it pretty easy to learn the attack timings.
The dual gauntlets are a bit tricky because the two quick punches it starts with count as a single attack; if you're going to cancel it into a Blade Art you need to do so on the second punch, not the first.
Anyway, am I the only one who finds it kinda weird hearing Tirkins talk now?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh, Adenine and the guy who levels up via Merc missions? Adenine is hard to use, but I've found Merc Man pretty straightforward. About two seconds after Rex initiates an attack, you cancel into your Art.
Egads yes. There's a quest in Gormott that ends with two Tirkin being employed by the town, and the whole time I'm like "wait, they're not full sentients which is why the Monado can dice them."
Oh, just a heads up: there's a door in Argentum that a Nopon is asking 100,000 gold to get into. Ignore him and go around, the place is only relevant if you pull Boreas, and you can get in through the back by jumping into the Cloud Sea. As long as you have Boreas and Poppi's Nopon Wisdom at 3, you can open that back door. Save your cash for town development.
Speaking of, is there any point in sending money home? I did it once and saw no effect and now Rex is poor... again.
It's a sidequest
Where there's life, there's hope.Oh? Well that's something. Do you know what triggers it?
No, not talking about Adenine. The Rare Blades I've got on Rex are Pyra, Nim, and the Spoilers you obtain early in Chapter 4.
For the knuckle weapons, I've found that Rex will do a kick once the third attack is over, that's when you activate an art. The spear and the bitball are very tricky to nail the timing down though.
Also, if there are haste accessories, axe users definitely need them. I just got Agate, and the auto attack for the axe is really slow.
I'm beginning to think Xenoblade Chronicles was a complete fluke, because neither X nor 2 measure up in the slightest.
My biggest gripe with Xenoblade 2 so far is how freaking slow it is. Battles are slow, plot is slow, gathering things is tedious...
It just lacks any real attention-grabbers other than "sequel to Xenoblade. For real this time!"
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Really? Because I find it all quite good so far. Love the combat.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSo, what's the general consensus on Xenoblade Chronicles 2?

I believe that if you are a true JRPG fan, the franchise is easy to become a favorite.
However if you are a casual game, the game can be quite difficult to get into.
Just like Genji from Overwatch basically.
Also the general consensus among the community who actually PLAYED it is very positive, I wouldn't listen too much from those who hate it from Gamefaqs or Youtube, as they likely haven't actually played the game. If anything, trust the xenoblade subreddit, because that's where the true fans of the franchise are and you can get an honest opinion about it.
She's doesn't actually say it like that does she? Cause that sounds really dumb.
