Since I don’t have the game yet, how is the unique monster theme vs You Will Know Our Names and Uncontrollable?

Well my package has been delayed with no available info on when I should expect it.

I find the normal variant to be lackluster but the Awakening version is the bomb!

Of the characters I've met so far, Rex is the only one I'm a little shaky on but I like everyone else and Pyra is way more fun than I thought she was going to be.

Rex's tendency to put his foot in his mouth is pretty funny, like commenting on Pyra's weight.

So is there no Collectapedia this time? That's kind of a shame, I liked it.

First rare blade is... Gorg. Eh sure, I'll take whoever I can get.

Beat chapter 2 and got my first rare Blade from a common core crystal. Perceval, a tank with darkness element. Not bad, he has a break art which is cool. Nobody has topple though.

I have one of those items that let's you transfer Blade ownership. How rare are they? Are they finite?

Has anyone gotten a rare Blade twice?

I saw the option overdrive under the rare blade I gave to Nia and moved it to Rex by mistake.

I hope I didn't just screw anything up.

After getting about twenty common blades, including from rare crystals, I finally got a rare! I got Adenine. And I got her on Nia, so I guess Nia's going full specialized healer.

...Well, that was an interesting boss battle in Uraya.

Here I though Drivers had to be humanoids, or at least sapient. But apparently, big ugly spider monster touched a Core Crystal and was considered worthy enough.

That is endlessly amusing to me for some reason, especially Tora's reaction.

The Core you get from that fight ends up really important to a major-ish side activity, Slap it on Rex as soon as it activates and use it/dispatch it.

Also Nia is ROLLING in rare Blades, she's pulled three from common crystals.

Also Rex has Soraya Saga's Blade. He looks like a Jojo character and I love him.

Catgirl is getting her harem.

anyone know if chugga's gonna do a let's play of this, and if so, when?

This kind of LP takes a year and a half to prepare, and Chuggaa hasn't LP X yet.

I find it somewhat questionable if he'll ever get to LP it. Maybe if it gets that Switch port...

Anyways, what are the odds of getting two rare Blades from common crystals in a row? Cause that happened to me.

Chugga did Splatoon and Pikmin 3 L Ps. I think he'd be fine with an X LP.

The problem he's probably having is any sort of balance changes and other added extras and removed things a port of X might have. Kinda like what happened with Splatoon 1 and 2 when 2 was shown off but not named in the Switch reveal trailer., during his LP of 1.

I finally got my first Rare Blade: Nim. Not really a fan of the fact that you can get commons from rare crystals.

I like that feature.

I think its a good thing that someone who really wants a particular Rare Blade could feasibly grind them out by farming common crystals early game.

The poster was complaining about getting common Blades out of rare Crystals, not the other way around.

Got to Mythra. I don't know if I was severely underleveld for the Ahkos/Malos fight (23), or if I just suck. Since I managed to win not by grinding but by switching everyone's accessories to boost health recovery, probably a bit of both. Really annoyed that Rex still has no strategy other than swing sword or fire at enemy, though maybe that's about to change. Tora is already gone from the story basically, which sucks cause I kind of like him. At least Nia is still relevant. I probably like Mythra more than Pyra. She sets up things to be talked about, something this group really needs. Curious that Malos is the one being super hyped up now, though I'm sure Jin will get his hype in due course.

Got my second rare blade, Perun. The design itself is alright, but all the in your face fanservice is really annoying. I suppose that's another part of the gacha experience.

The entire next arc is the Tora+Nopon anime hour. Don't worry, he's coming back.

It's interesting how I haven't seen any of the rare blades the rest of you have. I've got maybe six or eight of the gacha blades, but I only use like two of them. I'll consider changing that if I start getting high end Ether Cannon lol. Need to try playing as Nia actually, I'm curious how her arts differ from Rex's.
