Aangs back.◊ Clearly Eastern Shot.◊

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. Not to say that the Aang images wouldn't work, but wouldn't it make more sense to have something refering to mythology? I can think of a few examples from the actual Hijacked By Jesus page that could fit:
1.) The image from American Born Chinese where the Monkey King and his entourage (from China's Journey to the West) play the roles of The Three Wise Men from the Nativity story. 2.) Possibly an image comparing the original Loki to the Marvel comics version
Otherwise, maybe something like this would work [1]. It's obviously Jesus, but Jesus dressed like a Buddhist monk. With a name like Hijacked by Jesus, I just can't help but picture Jesus "dressed up" as other gods from other mythologies.
I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change.Bumping this because it's been inactive for a while. I also started a TRS thread to discuss the truckloads of natter on the page.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Maybe this pic of Odin Vs Surtur
As you can see Surtur looks like Satan while Odin is a Grandpa God like the old man depiction of god

Darkness is The Power of LifeI'm not so sure if that would work or not. The only way Odin even looks like Granpa God is because of the beard; take that away, and it's just a stage-Viking fighting a demon.
I went ahead and replaced the Hades picture with the relevant image from the American Born Chinese picture. Think it might be better suited towards the spirit of the trope, i.e. characters from other mythologies are appropriated into the Judeo-Christian cosmology.
I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change. You're supposed to wait for consensus to do that.
I like the image, but that's bad form.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyMy apologies. I'll be honest, I'm not that frequent of a contributer to these sorts of things, so I wasn't aware that was rude of me.
If necessary, I'll be glad to revert it back to the old one till a consensus has been reached.
Edit: Done. It's back to what it was. Again, my sincerest apologies for this flup-up.

I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change.Eh, if you realize your mistake now, it isn't a big deal. I wouldn't really have objected to leaving it up and giving it a day to see if anyone has some reason not to use it.
Though I suppose if you've reverted it, we can just do the "wait a day" thing then put it back up then.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyWe've got a welcome page at the top of the IP forum if you're curious about how things normally work.
Fight smart, not fair. Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it.
Just found this a moment ago. I think this just might be one of the best examples of Hijacked by Jesus that we can find.
Anyway, can be put this to a vote now? I think it's about time we finally settled this.
I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change. That's a great example, but if it's the entirety of the comic, then we can't use it.
Well, if we only included the part with Jesus-Thor, we could leave a note like "Jesus Christ, God of Thunder" or something like that. Alternatively, why not this piece http://ninjaink.deviantart.com/art/One-Liam-in-Three-Persons-177487977?q=sort%3Atime%20gallery%3Aninjaink&qo=141 featuring Liam Neeson's Aslan, Qui Quon Jinn and Zeus as God the Son, Holy Ghost, and Father respectively? That would definitely fit the whole "None-Christian characters used as Christian-character-stand-ins".
I'll start the vote off by giving my vote to the picture I just linked to, the Neeson Trinity picture. Does anybody have any other ideas or suggestions?
I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change. That's a good suggestion, but I don't think it would resize well enough for us to use as a page image.
Well, how about this then? I think it would work:
If nobody objects, can we put this one up? Or at least start having an Image Collection for the page so people can see other examples besides Disney Hades?

I raise my hand from beneath the shifting sun, and embrace the winds of change.I'm not sure how that fits at all.
Fight smart, not fair.Motion to pull
The pic doesn't give a clear indication of the hijacking.
The Pic looks right
Darkness is The Power of LifeSupport pull. Not only is it a duplicate but it's a very poor demonstration of the trope.
Object to pull unless a clear candidate for replacement exists. It's not perfect, but IMO with the caption, it works.
If there were a unDisnyfied picture of Hades it could be placed side by side with?
The earlier proposals of comparison shots of Aang aren't bad either.
I am in favor of the Aang shots. Although the current image is pretty okay, it currently is being used in Everybody Hates Hades, and I am not a fan of duplicate page images.
Supporting "Thunder Jesus".
Come to think of it, Jesus pictures would be best to the trope that have the word "Jesus" in it. At least better that some guy with a tatoo.
Sinfest could also provide some good picture, if anyone is bothered enough to search.

DO NOT PURSUE LU BURegarding the Sinfest idea, here are some that I think fit the bill http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2007-11-04_Fortress_of_Solitude Jesus as Superman http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2008-08-10_Terminate Jesus as the Terminator http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2008-09-28_Samakin_Skywalker Jesus as Obi-Wan Kenobi http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2008-12-14_The_Dark_Jesus Jesus as Christopher Nolan's Batman http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2008-12-30_Dragon_Bible Jesus as DBZ Goku http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2011-08-30_Excalibur_3 Jesus as He-Man http://ninja-theatre.com/wiki/2011-09-04_Hebrew-Man Jesus as He-Man 2
Personally, I think the He-Man riffs work the best.
Supporting the pull and Thunder Jesus.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!
If there's one to be found, that could work.
