Never mind. Was trying to see if I could find a picture of a glass of Tang.

Hodor^^ I hope you were joking about the Tang. Because Star Trek's Borg are at least as iconic for Assimilation as Evangelion.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Borg are better than Tang.
That said, I'm not familiar enough to see that picture and instantly think "Borg," so we should find something better.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyYou got me. I always wanted to say that :)
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Would a pic of a Borg actually assimilating someone be sufficient?
x6 What the hell does Tang have to do with anything?!
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.Neon Genesis Evangelion Fan Myopia. Apparently, at the end of one of the movies, everybody turns into Tang.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Yep. The last Angel, at the sort-of-request of the psychologically broken main character who has basically completely given up on humanity, assimilates the souls of every human. As a result, their bodies liquify into a yellow-orange primordial soup-like stuff called LCL. Since LCL looks so much like Tang, "Tanged" became the slang for what happens, and it became a meme from there. Great example, bad for a page pic.

Maybe a picture of the Cybermen upgrading someone? There more iconic than the borg or tang.
EDIT: Found one, would this work? [1]

...
Huh.
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.
The relative iconicness of the Borg vs. the Cybermen is very debatable.
The borg have an advantage here in not looking like robots.
Found a good one of the master from Doctor Who
[1]◊
Literal assimilation.
/offtopic I disagree, Cybermen are more iconic than borg, however Star Trek is more iconic than Doctor Who. /offtopic

Looks more like Cloning Blues to me.
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.
Thats...an interesting assertion. Care to back it up?
I was about to suggest that Lenis may be a Brit, but it clearly says he's from Canada.
Still, I think he's on something. ;)
/offtopic No real hard core logic behind it. I've just met a bunch people who know of Star Trek yet don't know the borg but have no real idea what Doctor Who is yet can recognize the Cyberman design from parodies and such. /offtopic
Now, back on topic. Maybe we could use a picture of zombies? They are rather known to infect, and therefore assimilate, people.

The Borg are pretty much specific to TNG and Voyager, so it's quite possible to have watched Trek, but not seen the episodes that are heavily Borg-oriented if you didn't watch Star Trek: TNG or Voyager.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.After making this... I don't like it. I figure I'd throw it on here for other people's thoughts, but it's not my favorite.
Also, the tang thing is because Evangelion is the former trope namer, it makes no sense as a page pic though.
Here's a video of some scenes from Star Trek First Contact. The scenes I was thinking about are at 1:18 - 1:22 (there's a stupid warping effect that's inserted, but it's showing an actual assimilation), and 1:26 - 1:50, showing various crew members being modified with cybernetics.
I've been trying to find a good clip of the scene in "The Best of Both Worlds" where the Borg actually capture Picard to turn him into Locutus, but all the ones I've found are shit quality.
That could work. But it would be beter without the middle pic.
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. How about this, from the Axis Powers Hetalia movie?
[1]◊ (Link fixed, thanks!))
The plot of the movie is basic Assimilation Plot, with the aliens turning everyone (and everything) into faceless white mooks. The picture just shows an entire city turned white and wibbly-wobbly, so I'm not entirely sure if it works perfectly. I'll continue looking for an image with an actual person being assimilated.

Now, count up your sins!"No hotlinked images".
You'll have to link to it externally; put double brackets ( [[ ]]) around the url.

Important note: The trope is specifically defined as a Well Intentioned Extremist's plans for assimilation out of a misguided belief that humanity would be better off in such a state. This is not You Will Be Assimilated, which is assimilation plots for any reason.
So giant grey-green cube = Everyone becomes the same?.
This one needs a better pic. I think an evangelion pic with the tang would be great.(The only drawback is that it would be a big spoiler).
