I wouldn't consider this one NSFW; as high beams go, this is fairly subdued.
There's also some mildly naughty language, but it's marked as Safe in the archives, and I don't see anything that wouldn't work in a PG-13 film (heck, except for the swear in the final panel, this is basically PG).
So every pleasure is a sequence (of variable length) of two symbols. For there to be at least a thousand "different" pleasures the sequence lengths would have to go up to at least... 9. 2+2^2+2^3+2^4+2^5+2^6+2^7+2^8+2^9=1022. Why they stopped at sequences of 9 when they could have gone with arbitrary length and called it the Palace of Infinite Pleasures, I don't know.
