Her eyes widened as the Shadow Ball flew at her and she dived for the ground this time, wincing as it clipped her shoulder and sliding along the ground over to Nostrum, bringing her fist around towards his face.

Still waking up, Striker was barely able to defend against Booster's rapid attacks at first, let alone strike back. His sunglasses were soon knocked off and landed in the far corner of the room. Damn, he's fast! Guess I'll have to get fast as well!

Dodging to the side, the Mienshao let loose a Swift attack at the bird.

Sluggard lowered his head and used Withdraw. Somehow, he managed to fit his entire body into the Shellder on his tail. As soon as they hit the ground, Sluggard returned, thrusting the shellder into the ground and launching forward.

"Okay, Clamps! Let's do this!"

"What are you waiting for, bird? You said that you had something to say, so spit it out already!"

The Dewott remarked icily.

Nostrum suddenly spit into three, the two on the sides jumping to opposite sides as the center copy vanished as the Ice Punch hit it. They both then began charging up Will O' Wisp.

"Let's heat things up a bit, shall we?" they asked in unison before firing the attacks.

Booster cried out in pain as the Swift hit him, bulling him back across the floor. He regained his balance quickly, taking off and flying towards Striker with Aerial Ace.

At such a short distance it wasn't possible for Eltenios to avoid the response. But he was so close, and any damage he dealt would help... he pushed forward, ready to endure the attack, but to his surprise he didn't feel the purple gas having any effect as it hit him.

Taking advantage of his momentum the Arcanine leapt attempting to right out stomp on the Ariados this time, delaying for later the question lodged in the recesses of his mind, what kind of poison attack that thing was? He only noticed himself a bit tired, but he attributed it to his uneasy time with the Blades.

Travis lunged at the Murkrow, jumping upwards as he neared.

The Dewott seethed, bringing the blade of his shell down upon his opponent.

"Let's fix that doofy hat of yours."

Eltenios and Aranos met in mid-air; while the canine felt the spider push against his stomach, he used his weight (hey! it's all muscle!) to take a bite at the leg.

Aranos screeched in pain at Eltenios's teeth scissoring into his leg, opening his mouth and firing a barrage of Poison Stings into the Arcanine's stomach.

Sluggard, indeed, brought it. His eyes began to glow as Lickitung's tongue did as well. Using Psychic, he pulled the tongue out of Lickitung's mouth and proceeded to hit him with it.

"Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself."

...and that's terrible.

Lickitung yelped a bit with each slap, though since he was a Normal-type the blows didn't effect him much. He reared his head back, trying to pull his tongue out of Sluggard's grip.

The Arcanine fell to the ground quite ungracefully, the poisonous pins having reached his already weakened belly. He stepped back and arched in pain, but got over it quickly. He Agilitied his way to the opposite side he had been attacking from, but his legs were slow to answer and he had to push himself, his head starting to hurt as he circled and tried to reach Aranos's hind leg for a paw swipe this time.

Aranos glanced behind him and raised his behind, spraying a large amount of web towards Eltenios.

Paul was now scrambling for his life.

Slick was knocked back by the attack, and retaliated with a Shadow Ball.

Although he had no reason to stick around, the ongoing struggle between the Dewott and Murkrow was enough for Tatsu to come out and fire a Hyper Beam in between the battling Pokémon, knocking down the Shadow Ball.

"Enough! Even if this is not the most urban area of the city, you are currently capable of causing trouble to humans for no reason aside from the sake of causing trouble!" Tatsu landed on a rock closer to the group, with each of his pairs of eyes watching one of the participants. "It is my foremost duty to watch over the safety of the city's inhabitants. If you are willing to cease, I shall turn a blind eye to this senseless argument."

"He freaking bashed me upside my skull! I have the right to self-defense!" shouted Slick.

"I'll admit you do have that right, but if you are to battle, either proceed to the nearest stadium or outside city limits. Battling in an area with civilians without the supervision of Trainers is forbidden." Tatsu started thinking to himself. To think that I came to find clues to illegal goods and I end up having to stop a children's fight.

Paul was running away, trying to hide from the hostile Dewott.

After seeing the Shadow Ball destroyed by a sudden beam of light, Travis turned and saw the Hydreigon from the alleyway emerging from the building adjacent to the cave wall.

"Oh, you have gotta be-"

"Yeah, I'll take the bird another time, preferably when I have more than one Lum Berry, let's just bag this 'duck and get out of here..."

Travis overheard the latter exchange between Slick and Tatsu.

"Hey, funny thing about that, bub, but we're in a friggin' cave. Until you just blew that hole into the wall, there was no way that humans could have gotten in here if they wanted."

The Dewott rummaged through his bag, and noticed Paul attempting to make a break for the pipes on the other side of the lake.

"Couldn't have worked out better..."

"Besides, who made you our almighty arbiter?"

The Dewott smashed a Smoke Ball against the ground, filling the cave with dense, white smoke, and took off after the Psyduck.

Slick belched a Toxic in Tatsu's direction and took off after the Dewott, blinded by the smoke.
