I’m probably an oddball among the forums, being the kind of person who would have no interest in SotC.
Anyway, I find it impressive just how much Fake Longevity they managed to cram into Forces. Red rings, then number tokens, then moon rings. Beat the clock missions, which are mutually exclusive with the collectables, as all except the red rings require being done in one go. Max out rank as every species. Use various wispons multiple times in a level, but the tiers of missions don’t unlock all at once, so levels have to be entered multiple times just for one series.
SoundCloudAnd all of it with mediocre at best gameplay.
And frankly, not even one of the better main theme songs in the series.Like Fist Bump isn't BAD, but let's be honest here, it's got some stiff fucking competition and doesn't even come close.
I don't know. Fist Bump does have a pretty sick guitar solo.
One Strip! One Strip!Honestly I think it beats Generations' main theme by far.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I actually do like Fist Bump; it's not my favorite theme at all, but it's the type of cheese I've been missing from this series.
For real, the last vocal theme before it was Reach for the Stars.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I think we all know the best vocal theme is My Sweet Passion.
The sphinx looked so cute, I had to shave it!
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Well since its brought up.
I do like this song.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."We all know what the best main theme in this series is.
I Am All Of Me.
...I know you're probably joking around, but I do consider that to be a legitimately good song.
There's a lot wrong with Shadow the Hedgehog, but it's main theme ain't one of them. At least not to me.
I feel the same way about His World as well.
Hell, I really like Phase 2 of The Solaris Boss battle for being an instrumental version of His World.
....shame about literally everything else connected to that game.
One Strip! One Strip!I actually wasn't kidding... Kinda. I am all of Me is tied with Live and Learn, though I do prefer the original main theme.
Also '06 does have the Shadow storyline. Not the gameplay, but the story is pretty good. And I like Shadow, but that's just me.
Shadow's got the finale of his storyline for me.
You all know the part.
Because he can do that Sega! Don't just ignore it! Let him take off his damned rings!
One Strip! One Strip! All Hail Shadow.
Actually played that game as a kid. I liked it, I just didn't know what the hell was going on because the branching scenarios was too much for my idiot kid brain to handle.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I haven't really cared for many of the vocal themes post-Black Knight, they're just kinda generic and forgettable.
"With Me" is a way better villain song than "Infinite":

Catch Me if You Can and Ungravity are two of my favorites that have yet to be mentioned.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI like "Reach for the Stars," but specifically the instrumental. I'm not too fond of the vocal version.
I'm a sucker for orchestras, tho.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Cant agree. The lyrics make it for me.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSo I just stumbled upon this.
Da fuck did I watch, are these supposed to be bosses? What in the living Hell is this exactly?
Edited by slimcoder on Mar 31st 2020 at 1:22:50 AM
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."They're bosses...
They're just very un-Sonic-like and easy due to the charged homing attack.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The bosses were maybe the best example of how the game's gimmickiness was it's biggest weakness. Most of those boss fights focus too much on the gimmick and not enough on being a challenging fight, so most of them are too easy and feel like there should be more there that isn't. It's just "Zomom spins back and forth" and "Zor has a giant owl that shoots slowly moving birds" and "Zik rolls around on a giant fruit" and then... nothing, mostly. Few extra stages, few additional layers or challenges, few nuance to it in general, pretty much nothing but the gimmick most of the time.
The whole game was like that.
I think Zor's fights were the point where I realized "these would actually be really cool if there was more to them."
Unrelated, but it's also the second time the series made it look like we were going to get a boss fight against Tails and then didn't deliver.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. At least the characters themselves have some potential that actually got used in the latest comic series.
SoundCloudThe first was in Colors, right?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Lost World suffers from being too gimmicky as usual for a Sonic game. Which is frustrating because it's the first time the series tries to slow the game down and allow for something beyond just going fast, which has been a consistent problem with the series since SA 1.
But as usual, a lack of polish and some unforgiving level design and a lack of a tutorial for the new mechanics just made for a subpar game.
I'm halfway through it and there's so much potential here for something better, but ugh.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I maintain it's a fine game before Silent Forest.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Yea, it really starts to indulge in bullshit level design in the latter half of the game.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
Please don’t talk about his 4 chili-dogs.
Don’t worry homes I already did.
