Yeah. Don't worry about being a newbie- I've only just finished reading the D Ms handbook myself >_>

This will be a campaign geared at newbies, since we have a few of them.

And a Druid will be fine- as long as you think you can move silently/hide easily >_>

@INUH: I'm starting to draw maps and stuff for the first play, as I'll essentially be throwing us straight into a dungeon. Do you want to take a look at it?

Could my druid have a cat as an animal companion?

You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My Tumblr

You can have any of these.

There are also some 4th-level animals on this page: (Copy and paste the link) http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Druid's_Animal_Companion

Wait, I thinkk there's a limit... Let me check.

As crazy as one might think I am for this (considering this would be my 4th game), this looks like it would be pretty fun. I might join, if only because one of the three I'm already in only meets once every two or three months. I want to try out the beguiler or the spellthief classes, and this would be an excellent chance for that.

Also, if you guys who are already in this one and the one I'm running are continuing that game (let me know if you don't want to), should we make it so that these games don't meet three or so times a week each? Because I imagine that might be taxing on everyone involved in both games.

I looked at the OP and it says "(GMT- please check this against your timezone)- ". Does that mean that I assume those times are GMT +0?

Oh, and one more question: are monstrous races (as in, ones with level adjustment and extra hit dice) going to be allowed? I don't plan to use one yet, I was just wondering.

Um yes- those times were set under Greenwich Meridian Time (I think thats what the M stands for?)

The Jammies game- I'm definitely still interested in playing it ^_^ I'll be playing both simultaneously :3

But, uh... Hmmm. Maybe we could try out the schedule for a week and see if it's manageable or not?

And monstrous races- ... I'd think no, as would they really be suited for work where you need to stay unnoticed?

Looking at the times, I'd really only be able to make it on Wednesdays and maybe Mondays, so I'll have to decline. :(

And as for monstrous races, I was thinking much less along the lines of ogres and more along the lines of doppelgangers, whose transformation abilities would be invaluable to things like assassinations and kidnappings. Since I'm not able to play, that will hardly be relevant to me, but if you were to approve it, others might be able to make use of that. Or it would make for a cool NPC or something.

Doppelgangers would make for a good NPC actually. Hmmm...

Well, I'm a bit sorry that you have to leave :/ But that's the risks inherent in a schedule, I guess- not everyone can keep up with it.

You can, but, uh... It's a stealth-based game tongue

Reckon you can build a stealth-bard?

Stealth bard should be rather possible, despite how absurd that sounds.

So I made a script to do my ability rolls and ran it through. At first, I was a little happy I got 2 18's, but was, at the same time, a little disappointed that the other scores were so low. After a little bit of looking at the results, I noticed I made a typo which made the script deal out 3d6 picking the 3 highest instead of 4d6, 3 highest. So then I started to wonder if I should take these numbers or reroll properly after fixing the script.

In the end, a computer crash made the choice for me.

Edit:The crash took away my typo fix, but I rolled again without realising it. I think I'll take these rolls though:
1 + 4 + 6 = 11
3 + 3 + 6 = 12
4 + 4 + 6 = 14
6 + 5 + 6 = 17
6 + 2 + 6 = 14
6 + 3 + 5 = 14

I'll be making my character now.

Not as good as your Rogue rolls, but good enough. Particularly since it was a straight 3d6.

All I have is the first player's hand book, so I'll be sticking to that. let me roll up some stats and see what I can run with.

edit: I get off work at 11pm GMT every day starting the 27th, but I proboubly wont be able to start playing until an hour after that, at best. that said, i'll be working 3-4 days a week, so it may not apply all the time.

12 12 6 17 6 9

hows this?

You have a total modifier of +0, which means that the rules say themselves you can reroll for being low. You can keep it if you want, but the 6 scores can hurt if you're not particularly specialised.
