ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

Sorry. Should have been more tactful. There was this escaped criminal named David, who had snuck onto our flight here. He went after the attendant at the GTC, and we rushed up to stop him. He tried to.... violate our Pokemon, when Mewtwo popped in. David had murdered one of his clones from his birthplace, so he wanted revenge. David had some kind of zombified Pokemon, and he kept healing whenever we managed to hurt him. He even killed my Serperior! (He came back to life as a Duskull, though) When Mewtwo did take him down, his corpse exploded into bits of data, similar to what you might see in a computer program. I've seen reports that describe the Anomaly like this, so I thought that there might be a connection.

Oak: Yes, I see. Going on a limb, I would hypothesize that this David person was a projection of the Anomaly. If it was, then it must have power on par with the legendary pokemon for that to even be possible.

Jane: They'd have to be pretty high leveled Legendaries, then, because the only pokemon I know are able to create physical manifestations are Arceus, Palkia of the Creation Trio, and perhaps the Unown, but they are not classified as legendary.

We found this logbook that descibes some experiments on Cinnbar Isle. The last entry mentons that the Anomaly might be a failed clone of Mew.

Oak: A failed clone? Hmm... Did you manage to get any other information on Mewtwo's reasoning behind assisting you? There may be a connection between that theory on the origin of the Anomaly and Mewtwo itself if that is the case.

No... maybe some sibling rivalry?

Regardless, he said we need some powereful Pokemon that can control the time-spece continum enough to stop it. He suggested Palkia, Giritina, and Victini.

Okay Pentigan, I think I remember you now, what threat are you talking about?

I am refering to the Institute for Advanced Pokemon Research... They do horrible things there... I caused a little ruckus a few weeks back and I found a file giving me reason to believe they might be going after this annomaly you're talking about.

Oak: Victini!? Oh my... -stands up and begins to sift through files and papers, seraching for something hastily-

Jane: Professor, what's wrong?

Oak: -stares solemnly at the group- Professor Juniper of the Unova Region has done a little bit of research on the Legendary Pokemon, but she has stated she doesn't have enough information outside of her point of view as a native Unovan. According to her, Victini was fabled in legend as the incarnation and bringer of Victory, but after doing some more reasearch...

-gives Jane a file with the word 'CLASSIFIED' stamped on it, containing old photographic images taken during World War 2-

We have come to the conclusion that Victini is a living nuclear weapon.

That could be why Mewtwo wanted us to find it; To protect it. Is it what Missigno is searching for?

It made all the buildings in Canclave City dissapear, and it put tons of Eggs onto the soil. Do you have any idea what's going on, because I deneately don"t.

A living nuke? Well, from the descriptions it certainly sounds like it.

Oak: I haven't the slightest idea. Seeing as all attempts to catch the Anomaly have resulted in the Pokedex registering it under the number '#000', and that Victini is currently the 'official' number #000 in the Unova Pokedex, there may be a sense of vengeance boiling within Victini for stealing its title. And that's assuming Victini even knows the Anomaly exists. It has been to this side of the world, though, as those files reveal.

Jane: -nods, sharing the images of the damage caused by Victini with the others- And here I thought those conspiracy theorists that claimed Hiroshima was caused by a Pokemon were just crackpot theories...

-Looks at photo-

This is going to be a complex mission...

Oak: We don't know if the Anomaly is actually targeting Victini, but if Mewtwo suggest the assistance of a nuclear weapon then there must certainly be a lot at stake.

-Comes back from depositing my Unovan Pokemon-

Oak, do you think those eggs in Canalave have any meaning? Bad Eggs perhaps?

I've already searched the Solaceon Town ruins top to bottom last year. Other than info on the Unknown, it had no helpful information. Perhaps we'll find more information on the anomaly in Celestic Town and Snowpoint Temple?

Oak: Well, I won't know for sure about the Eggs unless there is any proof of them, and what their patterns are. I have a small archive of Egg Patterns that should tell us whether or not these Eggs are Bad Eggs or they are meant to hatch eventually.

The Snowpoint Temple might not have much to do with this. I will contact Professor Juniper and notify her of the situation. Jane, you said you had done some research on Giratina?

Jane: -nods- Uh-huh. I know Cynthia's Giratina specifically from tip to tail.

Oak: -nods- Good, you can help us figure out if there's any way to contact Palkia and convince it to assist us, like Mewtwo suggested.

-gets out charizard-

I'm going to find anomaly!

As far as I know, Palkia was last seen on the Spear Pillar. We'll check there.

Jane: -grabs daisy by the scruff- WOAH there, Arcanine! You're not going to fight the thing all on your own. This isn't some video game where you have infinite lives!

One does not simply fly into Snowpoint City, the frequent storms make a sea or land voyage the only viable method.
