ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

Mikan Island Pokémon Center - Sometime later...

Guardé: <Eurgh, I didn't think we would be back here again so soon.>

Chord: <Tell me about it...>

-For the second time in three days, Guardé and Chord have been confined to a hospital bed to recover from another thrashing. Thankfully, the rest of my Pokémon were able to be easily healed of all the damage taken from the fight (although the nurses did give me an earful for letting Guardé and Chord battle again so soon.)

While the two rest in bed, me and the other Pokémon are hanging around, trying to figure out what to do next.-

Guardé: <I'm sorry, comrades. I should have done a better job guarding those awful Delta Pokémon. This wouldn't have happened otherwise.>

Chord: <Same here. If I had been well, and my Guitar wasn't broken, I would have show 'em.>

Woolly: <No, it's not your fault! You were both still injured. If anything, it's our fault for making you do it!>

Stratus: <And I was perfectly fine, yet that Delta Garchomp and Ferno still managed to kick my butt.> -Sighs.- <Maybe Dad was right. I am useless...>

Treeo: -Pats Stratus back.- <You're not useless, Stratus.>

Stratus: <Yes I am. I couldn't beat Ferno or that Garchomp, AND I fell asleep when I should have been guarding them!>

Chord: <To be fair, we fell asleep too.>

Stratus: -Shakes his head.- <I just feel like this is my fault, you know?>

Harriet: <It not though, Stratus. If anything, it's that swindling Emolga's fault.>

Woolly: -Tilts her head.- <What does Swindle have to do with this?>

Harriet: <Think about it: Swindle steals Tagg's Cynical side. Tagg goes mad and tries to kill us, injuring Guardé, Chord and half of Tracer's Pokémon, leaving us weakened for the Delta mons to wipe the floor with us and steal Pleo. Honestly, if we blame anymon, it's that thieving Emolga's fault.>

Treeo: <She is indirectly responsible, yes. But she was only trying to make things better, apparently.>

Chord: <Well a fat lot of good she's done...>

Woolly: -Sighs.- <We've really messed up badly this time, guys. We were supposed to be keeping Pleo save from those Delta Pokémon for the Reef Pokémon. Once they find out about this, they're not going to be happy.>

Harriet: <CAW!> -Ruffles her feathers.- <I totally forgot about the Reef Pokémon! If they somehow get word of this, they'll probably throw us in a murky underwater jail cell for Arceus knows how long.>

-The Honchkrow shudders at the thought.-

Stratus: <Oh mon, we've screwed up really badly this time...>

Woolly: <There has to be something we can do! We can still try to find him, can't we?>

"Yeah, we're not just going to give up just yet. We won't let those Delta Pokémon get away with this. I don't care if we have to search the entire Orange Islands to find them, we're going to get Pleo back."

-As I say this, I stroke Lake gently, who has been lying on one of the beds, saying nothing.-

"Right, Lake?"

-Lake glances at me for a brief second, then goes back to staring into the middle distance, a sad look on his face.-

"..."

Harriet: <Lake's taking this really badly.>

Woolly: <Well he promised so many times that he wouldn't let those Delta Pokémon get him. And now that they have him, he must feel awful.>

Treeo:<Poor thing...>

Ribbons: (to me and the other trainers currently with me) <... Guys, I think something has happened.>

Oh?

Tulip: <What is it this time, yes?>

Artemis: <Who cares? I'm bored and I want to go on an adventure, and if this means we get to do that, then count me in!>

Odette: <Yay! Adventure!>

Well, let's find out what is going on first, then.

Dintel - walks in, with a giant popcorn bag on tow that he drags in Woolly's direction-

— So... I heard even more unnice things happened?

Copahue — <Someone treated Stratus badly...>

-Walks inside the Pokemon Center-

-Pulls out the Silver Wing and notices it glowing-

This is bad.

Muddy: <Very.>

"Hello Silent."

-I let out a sigh.-

"Well, where to begin?"

Stratus: <Silent! It's awful! There was this Garchomp! And she got the Delta Pokémon out! And we tried to stop them! But they were too strong! Or we were too weak! And then...and then...Pleo...>

Treeo: <Long story short, the Delta Pokémon managed to kidnap Pleo.>

Harriet: <And now we're in deep trouble...> -Notices Copahue.- <Oh!> -Preens her feathers slightly, then straightens her "hat." <Hey, Copahue. Long time no see, eh?>

Woolly: -Can't help but giggle at Dintel.- <Heh. That's a lot of popcorn...>

Last Night

Ducklett!Zoroark: <Ooh, you have Obscura powers?> -realizes Tangent's instruction and Tagg's presence- <I mean, quack!>

Tangent: Bad bad bad bad week...

Pankaja: -lib quivering- <Pleo is... taken?>

Abigail: -has been waiting for Thresher to return from the team talk- <It seemed so well at first...>

Cephas: <But what are we supposed to do?>

Rufus: <Grr... we find them, and I bite them!>

Basket: <I think it's a bit more complicated than that...>

-aside-

Zoroark Blue: -masquerading as a potted tree- <Poor kid...>

- We move to where the others are, in time to hear what had happened -

What? Pleo got taken?

Odette: (gasps) <No! Not the pony!>

-Has followed DS-

...Wait, Pleo?

-Sighs-

If I hadn't gone mad and injured you guys so badly this wouldn't have happened.

Muddy: <How long do we have until he gets here?>

We've got a few days at the very least.

- Glances over at Tagg for a moment, then sighs -

(muttering harshly under my breath) Darn it, Swindle...

I don't know if I'm in good condition for this... Still not fully adapted to my female body, and I have a pretty bad concussion.

-pets Stratus-

— ...Delta Pokémon? Kim mentioned them, hmmm...

-Copahue hops in near Harriet-

Copahue — <Err... hi... yeah.> — looks a bit ashamed — <Since that island, with the food...> — blushes a bit.

-Dintel sits besides Woolly and starts feeding her popcorn so she doesn't have to move her neck-

Dintel — <Don't worry, I just was cute and a lady gave me the entire bag so we don't have to pay anything~> — gives Woolly another one.

-to Luke and Tagg-

— Wait, so the situation is that bad that he is going to come here? Damn... — goes to look outside — The islands are just recovering from the chocolate milk rain.

-fiddles with the Moon Ball for a moment, then keeps petting Stratus-

Stratus: <That feels nice.> -Makes a content noise.-

-To Tagg.- "You don't need to worry Tagg, it's fine. It wasn't your fault."

Treeo: <Wait, you're saying that Lugia is on his way here?>

"Oh boy. That's not good." -To Star.- "Oh? You never met Pleo, did you? Well..." -Explains everything about Pleo to Star.-

Chord: <No kidding. I doubt that daddy Lugia is going to be pleased that his son's been swiped while his back was turned.>

Guardé: <Wait. Isn't Lugia supposed to be rather destructive when he's angry?>

Chord: <Yeah, destructive as in "forty days and nights worth of storms." At least, that's what the legends say. But knowing our luck...>

Harriet: -To Copahue.- <Oh no, no it's fine! I'm wasn't bothered by the Bug Pokémon at all, honest.> -Looks a bit awkward.-

Woolly: -Noms a bit of popcorn.- <Aww, you're such a sweet little guy, Dintel! Thanks a lot.> -Pets Dintel with one of her flippers.-

I'm sure we can try to avoid any big fights until you've recovered, and if not, then don't worry, we'll try to keep you safe.

Odette: (grins) <Don't worry! When great hero Guardé feels better, he'll save Pleo!> (excitedly) <And I want to help too! I'll help save the pony!>

Tulip: (sweatdrops)

Guardé: -Smiles at Odette.- <I'll do my best, Odette. It'll take more than being defeated by some Delta Pokémon to keep me down.>

Chord: <They came close with me, though. Ow...>

-distractedly pets Stratus, then notices how bad the rest of the team is-

— Damn... and those Pokémon did this to Luke's?

-Copahue tilts his head and then gets closer to Harriet-

Copahue — <Errr... Oh. Well...> — looks at me, then back at Harriet — <I was happy that we could see the others... I won, er... I mean, our team won a Badge for our Trainer.>

-feels awkward, ruffles plumage-

-Dintel smiles and claps at Odette's good mood-

Well, okay...

Hmm... Maybe I should ask Latias to help too? I mean, the amulet might be hard to find, especially if a wild sea dwelling Pokémon took it, and she does have some other wild Pokémon helping her search...

Odette: <Yay!>

Harriet: <You won a badge? Cool.> -Looks around a bit.- <It's a shame that Luke doesn't seem to be interested in battling gym leaders any more, I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Even if he did though, with all the stuff that happens to us, we probably would never find the time to do it.>

-To Silent.- "Uh, We still hadn't fully recovered from what happened on Saturday, so they had an advantage against us. Even so, those Delta Pokémon are no pushovers. You should have seen that Surf + Thunderwave Combo that Delta Feraligatr got us with."

-to Harriet-

Copahue — <Well Trainer says that Luke is a bit overpowered for Gyms, although that sounds kinda unfair for newcomers like you... or me...> — leans head — <oh, but I'm not complaining, really.>

-to Luke-

— I understand, really... but still, had to be a nasty attack to beat two teams. Surf and Thunder Wave? That's just wicked, although I've read about such kind of combos somewhere... — jolts notes to share with Kim later — Had to pick most of your team by surprise. Any idea about where are they going?

Tangent: Yeah, it would help to have a direction to take our search... we are searching, yes?

Harriet: <Silent's probably right. Any of us could probably take on a gym leader with a single talonly. Or handedly. And don't even get me started on Lake. He managed to beat Ho-oh with Nadia's help a while ago. If I were to beat a legend, I would probably find gyms kinda' trivial after that.>

"Yes, of course we're going to look for him. The Delta Pokémon have thier base somewhere in the Orange Islands, so they can't have gone too far."

Stratus: -To everyone.- <You guys will help us...right?>
