-Watches the bodies burn-

There's been so much death and destruction over this past week, and I have to wonder how much more we can take. However, what I do know is that Lanius needs to be stopped.

-Sighs-

At least we got this victory.

-Some time later, back in the space tunnels with the birds-

-Vlad is brooding off on his own in the tunnels, still trying to come to grips with what happened earlier that night-

-Gligar!Vlad cautiously approaches-

<Gligar!Vlad: "Big me? Are you okay? You've been so different ever since... You know...">

<Vlad: "You must think that I'm a monster, don't you?">

<Gligar!Vlad: "You're me... How could you be a monster? You really scared me earlier tonight, though... Are you okay?">

<Vlad: "No... I just want to give up... To go somewhere where I won't have to deal with this...">

<Gligar!Vlad: "... But then who's going to help make this world better?">

<Vlad: "Tracer and the others can... They don't try to kill other Pokemon...">

Somewhere Near Ecruteak

-We continue making our way towards Ecruteak by foot, thankfully not encountering any resistance along the way. And although the journey has been peaceful for me and Cinder, Lake is currently wrecked with internal conflict...-

Feral!Lake: <You felt it earlier, didn't you? That huge spike of pain in your heart? That was several thousand humans and Pokémon being wiped out. Here one minute, gone the next. Doesn't it make you sick?>

Lake: <...I would be lying if I said I didn't...>

Feral!Lake: <Yes. And still more lives are being taken even as we speak.

Listen. I may be "edgy"...>

Lake: <I'd say you were evil.>

Feral!Lake: <No, I'm edgy. It's a completely different thing then being evil.>

Lake: <Whatever you say.>

Feral!Lake: -Snorts.- <Fine. Be like that. The point is, I want the same thing as you. I just want the killing to stop. That's all.>

Lake: <It sounds to me as if you want to do some killing yourself.>

Feral!Lake: <Not true. I'm not a murderer, but I think that the Pokémon responsible for all this deserve to die. Look, Lake...Do you not remember the legend?>

Lake: '<What legend?>

Feral!Lake: <Hmm. Should have been more specific. Okay, let's go over it again. There was this guy, right, and he got hold of this sword. So then he went around killing Pokémon for food. Which was fine, guy's gotta' eat. And it's nothing some Pokémon, like us Gators, don't do.>

Lake: '<...True...>

Feral!Lake: <But then this guy started enjoying killing Pokémon just a bit too much, so he started wandering around stabbing innocent Pokémon just for the sake of it. Sound familiar?>

Lake: <...Yes.>

Feral!Lake: <Yeah, you see where I'm going with this. So when Pokémon stopped showing to the guy Most likely because he was a crazy guy with a sword running around and they didn't want to get murdered, this guy went to look for them.

He searched high and low, until he eventually came across a Pokémon. And he asked it why the Pokémon would no longer appear before him.

And do you know what that Pokemon told him, Lake?

Lake: <..."If you bear arms against us, with tooth and claw, we will extract a toll.">

Feral!Lake: <...Lake. Those generals...They're no different to that guy. So we have to do it.

We have to take that toll.>

For the last 2 years, I've been surrounded by bloody bodybags filled with butched innocent people and Pokemon. It's been horrible... Velvet: (wakes HotStuff lightly with her paws) <Wake up, HotStuff!>

HotStuff: (nods)

Sparq: (walks over to HotStuff, looking at the X-transceiver on her wrist) <Maybe we should try using that thing to contact those trainers?>

HotStuff: <Sparq, how are we supposed to do that? We don't know their numbers!>

Sparq: (shrugs) <We could dial random numbers until we get it right?>

HotStuff: <... That could take forever.>

Velvet: <Relax, guys. The queen has promised to assist us. Soon we will find those trainers.>

HotStuff: <... Yeah.> (sighs) <You know, I'm glad DS can't see what is happening in the world right now...>

Velvet: (nods) <Yeah, I agree to that. No one should have to live in such a horrible world like this.>

Silvermist: <Wonder what it must be like for Pokémon that have children to have to raise their young in a world like this?>

Velvet: (has somewhat odd look on her face) <... Did you say... children?>

Silvermist: <Yes. Why?>

Velvet: (thinks for a moment) <...! AH!> (holding her head in pain)

HotStuff: <You okay, Velvet?>

Velvet: (looking somewhat shocked) <Y-yes... I'm okay...>

HotStuff: <Are you... sure? You don't look okay.>

Velvet: <I... I'm fine... Really...> (lays back down on her bed)

HotStuff: <... Okay.>

Velvet: (thinking) I don't believe this... How could I forget about my own children? Snow White, Inferno and Blitz... (shivers slightly) I don't know whether I should feel sad because they are... not here, or relieved by the fact that they don't have to live in this awful world... (realizes something) Wait a minute... It's not just them I remember! I... I remember everything now! (takes a deep breath) So... Now that I remember... What am I supposed to do now?

Briar Rose: (looks over at Velvet) <Velvet doesn't look too good...>

Wings: <... Maybe she just needs something to eat?>

- Velvet just lays on her bed, quietly letting everything sink in while trying to figure out how she can use this information to find the trainers -

Desert Resort

Patrol!Sandslash: It's just over this dune, captain. You can see it docked over there...>

-Dune the Krookodile, along with his patrol, reach the top of the sand dune. The Ground Type then uses his binocular vision to zoom in, easily managing to spot the Submarine docked at the coast.-

Dune: <I see it. Hmm...Have you seen anyone or anything come out of it, recently?>

Patrol!Scrafty: <We have caught glimpses of the odd human and Pokémon emerging from it. And just yesterday, a woman in a black jacket and a man with green hair came and here and entered it. They haven't come out since.>

Dune: <Interesting...>

Patrol!Siliglyph: <What shall we do, captain?>

Dune: <...We shall station a guard here to keep an eye on these humans. If we determine that they do not have hostile intentions, we shall try to make contact.>

Patrol!Siliglyph: <Yes sir!>

Dune: <Good. Let's get to it...>

-climbs up to the top of the sub with Tweedle and Hecate. Hecate looks around at the surrounding area, then drops back down through the hatch. I stay up for a little longer, looking around-

Where do you come from, Tweedle?

Tweedle: I was born in Sinnoh, Miss Trainer. I came to Unova with my Trainer as a refugee.

You had a Trainer?

Tweedle: ... Yes, Miss Trainer. I use her voice now.

-I briefly consider asking what happened, then decide that would be a bad idea and turn back towards the hatch-

C'mon, I have to go ask Steven if he wants Hecate to put up another Illusion.

-she nods once and we climb back down, Tweedle flying back to the room to make sure the kids are okay while I walk towards the control room-

Patrol!Scrafty: <Oh! Did you guys see that?>

Patrol!Siliglyph: <Yes. One human with a Chatot and a Zoroark.>

Dune: <Did you get what the human was talking with her Chatot about?>

Patrol!Siliglyph: <Sorry, sir. That Zoroark was interfering with my Psychic abilities.>

Dune: <Blast. Oh well, nevermind. We'll just have to keep waiting...>

- Velvet has used her psychic powers to create a temporary psychic link between herself on her teammates, and uses it to restore their memories -

HotStuff: <Huh... I guess we really did meet a bunch of trainers, and went to another world where the trainers, DS included, got turned into Pokémon...>

Briar Rose: <And DS was a cute little Eevee!> (giggles)

Wings: <Hehe... I actually picked up Kyogre and tossed her aside... I had almost forgotten how awesome my Super-Strength is...>

Sparq: <Wow...>

Silvermist: <Huh... Having two sets of memories... feels really weird.>

Velvet: (nods) <Yeah... It sure does.>

HotStuff: <Haha! This is great! Now that we have our memories back, finding those trainers should be much easier now that we remember who they are!>

Velvet: (nods) <Yes. I think.>

-is leaning against the side of the space tunnel, thinking-

I can't believe anyone could do something so horrible...all those poor people and Pokemon.

At least we could give them a more decent sendoff.

-Is sitting in the ruins of the Pokemon Center, having not slept one bit the whole night-

AU!Tagg: I don't want to do that ever again.

-Looks outside as a rainstorm starts-

It was just like when they took over Castelia... dead bodies everywhere, patrols running across the streets...
