Silas and Roxy finally arrive, Silas looking rather dapper with a neat coat and turtleneck. Roxy is wearing a ugly Christmas sweater over her outfit, grinning as Silas just glares.

"Wonder what's happening at this party, think they got a good bar?" Silas asks.

Roxy shrugs, "Don't worry about it too hard, do you really need whiskey every Christmas?"

Kai: Cookie scheme, huh? Hopefully you don't get wrapped up in a sinister bakery ring.

-The VKS theme can be faintly heard in the background.-

-As Silas and Roxy arrive, Kai waves them in.-

Kai: Nope, sorry. I moved out long before either me or Alli started drinking, so unless she or Mom have made renovations I don't know about since then, no bar here. And not a lot of alcohol in general.

-They pause, glancing at Alli.-

Kai: ...Have you? I actually don't really know if you drink now.

Ultra Badlands

-After getting hit, the Demon Tide surrounds the whole group before spinning at rapid speed, launching everyone into the air as it fires more Sableye balls from Obscura portals it forms from below-

Silas smiles as best he can (the sides of his mouth barely move upwards) and waves back to Kai, "Ah well. I got a pretty good selection on my ship, I'll be fine."

Roxy shakes her head, "What is with you?"

"It's tradition for me. Every Christmas ever since I was 14 my dad shared a glass of whiskey with me, and I've kind of just kept that up every year," Silas responded.

Roxy stared, and then laughed a little, "Wooow, that's the response?"

"What?"

"I forgot for a moment that despite the hardass look, you're really just a big old soft nerd under all that scowl and monotone, it's cute!" Roxy said.

Silas frowned a bit and then turned back to Kai, "This year has been a hell of a ride though, think 2020 is gonna be even busier?"

Alli: ...A little. Only samples of light, sweet stuff though.

-Siivagunner hovers over to Silas with whiskey shots-

Kai: Yeah, that's about what I expected. Same taste in alcohol as me.

-Kai smirks at Silas.-

Kai: Hey, tell you what, I'll buy you a drink sometime. We'll keep your tradition up that way, even after Siiva's offer.

-Their smile sets back into something softer-

Kai: Anyway, I'm hoping things are calmer for me next year. I've got doctor's orders to take it easy, what with Aura instability on top of my heart damage. For you all, though, by all means, have fun with your 2020.

The Lagiacrus roars and shakes wildly as it bucks off it's rider and retreats further into the Badlands.

The Hunter Admin falls face first onto the ground.

Hunter Admin: "Ugh..."

He slowly picks himself up, looking at his attackers.

Lita is here. She's traded her usual track suit for a pair of jeans, simple white T and a black leather jacket with metal studs.

She doesn't look too into the merriment though. She looks troubled.

-And then everyone's swept up. Pent looks... Just utterly pissed at this development-

-He draws an instrument from his bag, a silver-plated keyboard to be held in a guitar grip. It seems... Inert-

-elsewhere, friendly tendrils drop in to lend a hand to Lanatus's boss-

-Abilene daintily clings to Vee's shifting mass as she stretches to grab Ceal, an unconscious Eric-

-safety assured, Castanea slams his Spiky Shield downwards, skip-surfing on the Sableye balls to catch Hiro on his back-

Hiro: -catching an electric rodent, and another- You, first.

-Pollen Telekinetically catches Hiro's Emboar, flipping end-over-end-

-the Emboar oofs as a Luxray and Manetric plow right into her-

-Vee then sprouts several sets of Tropius wings and stops falling, which she was-

Thespi: -pained, grin sunny-bright- <Gotcha~>

Ceal: -focusing- <G-get ready!>

Tripod: -beep beep beep—- ò-Ô-ó

-their three keys, tossed apart by the rotation, steady trajectories into orbits...-

-...seeming to blend into a cohesive whole...-

-...the faster and faster they whirl-

Thespi: -limerick- <You thought we'd be dead in a flash,>

-and power pours into the whirling keys, transforming their twister attacking everything around it-

Me: "HELP!"

Silas smirked quite widely at Kai's comments, and thanked Siiva before taking a shot glass and downing it easily. "First up, thank you Siiva. Second up, careful Kai... you sound dangerously close to asking me out on a date there."

He laughed a bit, which got a look from Roxy, who looked to the others, as if to say, "This isn't normal with him" before smiling a bit.

"But in all seriousness, I'll take you up on that bar trip, we could have a bit of fun, could probably drink you under the table. Thanks," he said before taking another shot glass, and noticing the blue.

His smirk became a smile as he waved to the Blue, "And I can get that, I got things on the backburner but I'm ready to relax a bit, get back to my roots and just do some myth hunting," he said to Alli, "Let someone else handle the weirdness for awhile."

-the Memitos are here-

-with the exception of Amanita, they look rather beaten-up-

-but probably they're fine-

-PEFE!Every, as always, has the faintly furtive look of someone scanning the room for an exit route in case of emergency-

-Ever, by contrast, has the relaxed look of someone who a) is among friends, and knows they're safe and b) already found the ways out before coming in-

(Fuka remembers, year after year, asking Santa for her mom to be home for Christmas and, year after year, everything from unexplained air currents, courier jobs, and, in one case, a bus hijacking, guaranteeing she was home before Fuka opened her presents

Fuka (to Goober): I've got a Gyarados, and if you just need disturbances in general I can throw my Zangoose and Seviper into something and tell them they can fight. (to Mia) That part's easy. Getting to stop, now that's the trick.

Kai: Well, some vampires can't get drunk. A possible side effect of the accelerated Aura intake-outlet cycle is a weird metabolism that processes alcohol far too quickly for the user to show signs of getting drunk. I know Psyche is able to do that manually with her psychic abilities, but it sometimes also happens unintentionally among vampires.

-They smirk at Silas-

Kai: Oh, by no means am I asking you on a date. Don't tell the shippers that, though, I love the fanart. But anyway, I'm not gonna compete with you to see who can drink more, I'll lose that in a heartbeat. Fae weakness to poison and all. But the bar night would be fun nonetheless.

-They notice the Blue, as well as another assortment of colors belonging to the Memito complex, and wave cheerfully.-

He shrugged, "There are some good pubs in Galar I hear. My grandpa used to tell me about this one just called "The Hole", terrible place yet all throughout his time working there, he kept coming back. Maybe I'll find a better one, and hey the Eddisburg Tavern was pretty good food wise, the ale was watered down heavily though."

At the further glance at Megan, Silas looked worried, setting his drink down and walking over, "Megan, what happened?"
