Me: Well, at least you HAVE a tail...

Raru: <Enough belly-aching, you two! I have a lesson to attend.>

Me: -quickly recovers from headache- Lesson?

Piku-chan: -quickly recovers from head and tail ache- <With whom?>

Raru: <With Ammy of course.>

Me: -raps side of head with knuckles- Ohh... Now I remember... I'll need to ask Colton if it's alright with him before the lesson can begin.

The door opens, a familiar gray-haired entity entering, albeit inexplicably wearing a purple witch’s hat.

"You guys stay here all night?" She asked, reaching into the hat and pulling out a Great Ball before it opened, a Lycanroc materializing, looking at Ammy warily.

Lumiose City Warehouse

Me: It was a long night...

Piku-chan: <It was a long night and we just lost our powers.>

Me: Anyways... Who's that Pokémon?

-Ian checks his Pokédex-

Pokédex: Lycanroc, the Wolf Pokémon, and the evolved form of Rockruff. A Rock type. Lycanroc's form depends on when a Rockruff evolves. If during the day, it will evolve into Midday Form. If at night, it will evolve into Midnight form. However, it will be rare for Rockruffs to evolve into a Dusk Form Lycanroc.

Lycanroc, Midday Form. Its quick movements confuse its enemies. Well equipped with claws and fangs, it also uses the sharp rocks in its mane as weapons. When properly raised from a young age, it will become a trustworthy partner that will absolutely never betray its Trainer.

Lycanroc, Midnight Form. The more intimidating the opponent it faces, the more this Pokémon's blood boils. It goads its enemies into attacking, withstands the hits, and in return, delivers a headbutt, crushing their bones with its rocky mane. It has no problem ignoring orders it doesn't like.

Lycanroc, Dusk Form. Bathed in the setting sun of evening, Lycanroc has undergone a special kind of evolution. An intense fighting spirit underlies its calmness.

Me: So, Amy... Who's the Lycanroc?

"Our practice dummy," she said as the Lycanroc reached a paw for a Sun Stone hidden in his mane.

In a flash of light, Colton appeared, visibly annoyed.

"Yeah, I miss my powers, too. Not so much the instincts that came with them," he allowed before returning to his Duskroc form.

Lumiose City Warehouse

Me: That makes sense. So, Colton... Is it okay if we start Raru's lesson?

Lumiose Warehouse

<Yeah, yeah,> he said flippantly, lying down on his belly, tail thrashing in minor annoyance.

"So, there's quite a bit you need to know," Ammy started as her ears and tails appeared. "You seem to have your goal set in stone, so let's see if you know how to get there."

She stepped aside, letting Raru take the floor to entrance her shapeshifted trainer.

Lumiose Warehouse

-Raru steps up to the plate-

Raru: -calmly to Colton- <Alright... I want you to take a nice, deeeep breath...>

Lumiose Warehouse

The Lycanroc, at Raru's request, inhaled deeply and slowly.

Ammy nodded sagely.

Lumiose Warehouse, Raru's Lesson

Raru: -calmly- Just relax... and listen to my voice...

Lumiose Warehouse

Talbain shifted a little, getting comfortable.

Lumiose Warehouse

Raru: -calmly- <That's right... Just relax... let go of whatever stresses plague your heart and mind... Without them, your body feels as light as a feather...>

-a faint pink glow appears in Raru's eyes-

Talbain's eyes began to flutter a little bit, his posture relaxing as well.

Ammy smiled warmly.

O. Wing, Spaaaace

"Hold on hold on. You don't know how the technology works but you're using it anyways? Isn't that a little dangerous."

Des looked to Kaiiseii as he muttered something.

"Spoilers, I assume?"

Raru: -calmly- <That's right, Colton... Your body's as light as a feather... But your eyelids are getting heavy...>

-Ian gets a mental image of Colton in his Pokéform hovering in midair performing a Crazy Ivan, and suddenly chuckles-

As he fought to keep his eyes open, the prior night’s fatigue began to hit him, and the battle became doomed.

Ammy gestured with a finger, silently making a snap motion as if to say “drop him”.

-Raru nods at Amy's motion, and snaps his fingers-

At the moment the sound of snapping fingers hit him, Talbain shook his head.

<Okay,> he started. <You took things pretty slow; matched the pace of your subject. That’s good practice,> he congratulated.

"You kept his attention, his focus," Ammy added. "Another pertinent detail you do well. Don't let their focus slip."

Raru: <Thanks... I try my best...>

“Anyway, the big thing I wanted to take notice of is that when in combat you kind of just... skip to the command.”

<The opponent's not going to listen to you while they're running you down,> Talbain explained, lifting himself up. <You kind of have to force your way in there. Implant the suggestion directly via your own psychic ability; make them want to sleep.>

Raru: <Good to know. As for suggestions, how do I implant those?>

"You can communicate telepathically, right?"
