R. Mika intercepts the Dark Pulse with an Iron Tail. The Lucha Pikachu puts their fists up, challenging Sylvestra.

-David doesn't really flinch from the Darkest Lariat. He just kinda... takes it, and gives Kane a Look-

David: <Really then? Tell us why you're here.>

-I jump to the ceiling to avoid the Dark Pulse-

-I zip and zoom along the ceiling, hoping to escape Sylvestra and David-

R. Mika runs interference on Sylvestra so Ian can get by.

-David this time goes for a Hammer Arm as a literal black fog comes out of the walls and slinks after Ian-

-Sylvestra explodes a blast of Dark Obscura in the Pikachu's face in an attempt to blind her-

-Ian the Pikipek notices the black fog coming from the walls-

Me: !? What's this fog?!

-thinks to self- They're trying to stop me from reaching the others! I have to outrun it!

-I pick up the pace and try to outrun the fog-

Kane gets rocked by the Hammer Arm and skids across the floor. He picks himself up and let's out an angry roar as he flexes his muscles.

R. Mika was blinded by the Dark Obscura. She charged her fists and started flailing them around, hoping to hit somebody.

<Coward! Using dirty tricks like that.>

Des has thrown off his coat and is now aiming a Rabbid Parablaster at Sylvestra. He fires at her.

-David uses the opportunity to jet after Ian himself-

-The black fog coalesces into an enormous jet-black Haunter, who reaches a hand out at Ian-

Black Fog:    <You're... Mine...>   

-Sylvestra erects a Obscura barrier to block the shot, which turns into a whip that tries to constrict around Des-

-I look behind me to see David charging at me like a missile-

Me: Well, Hello there...

-thinks to self- What do I do? I've got Hubby McGigantor behind me and this Haunter in front of me... How do I avoid both...?

Kane does some Acrobatics to catch up to Dave and land on his back, steering him into the wall.

R. Mika regains her sight and rushes Sylvestra with her Thundr Punches.

-thinks to self- Now... about this Haunter...

Ever grande city, earlier

-Cady lands in front of the pokemon legue, then returns Apollo.-

Cady: Well. Here we are. It's time.

-She walks into the league building.-

-She walks through the door at the end of the corridor, into the champion's chamber. Her parents, Lila and Kat are standing at the sidelines. Steven is facing her.-

Steven: Welcome back. It's nice to see you have returned. It is interesting to see how trainers grow, how they evolve their teams and strategies. It is time to see what you have learned on your journey.

-Ian ducks under the Haunter's hand and zooms towards a nearby bathroom to hide-

Ian the Pikipek: -thinks to self- If that Haunter knew Hypnosis, I'd've been a sitting Psyduck... Now...

Me: BIRD OUT!

-A sudden flash of light appears and fades just as suddenly-

-I walk out of the bathroom in my regular clothing-

-Sylvestra gets up, snarls, and chases after Des-

-David and Black Fog skid to a halt upon entering a public area. David puts his ring back on as Black Fog shrinks down to normal Haunter size-

David: Phew that was close. Say where'd the kid go?

Black Fog:    <How should I know?>   

David: Well find him! I'm not having a Yveltaldamned teenager hit on my wife, that's even more creepy than usual. Also trying to break into our house.

Black Fog:    <Well you know how teenagers are.>   

David: Fair point. The breaking into our house still stands.

R. Mika turns her head and sees Sylvestra pursuing them.

She Thunderbolts the ground in front of Sylvestra. Des takes the opportunity to duck down a corridor...

The rotom-colored projector drone and the young man it seems to follow moved toward Ian. The glare on his face was noticably more annoyed than threatening. The name on the tag says "Marius".

Marius: Hello, sir. I'm afraid you're straying too close to the private part of the Macraul household. The older members of Lord Macraul's family do not want to be disturbed.

Ian should also notice the rope fence barring people from entering the area.

Marius: Please return to your tour group. Sir Ludovic would certainly be disappointed if he didn't regale you with the stories behind his grandfather's prized artifacts.

An awkward yet friendly-looking young man exits the bathroom. Literally everything about this fellow screams "trustworthy adult", or at least that's how his aura would come off.

He is carrying a camera.
