After receiving no answers regarding the mysterious text, Silversmith decided to investigate further. He went back into the library and found books regarding the J-team and the Macrauls. After a few hours of reading (accounting for the lateness with which he shall shortly arrive), he decided the Macrauls were evil and depriving them of anything would be a noble endeavor. After all, what use is knowing what is good if he didn't do any? He also reasoned that if this Necrozma was a friend of the J-team, logically it wouldn't be evil to assist. He explained to Shadow what he had learned, withdrew his pokemon, mailed his application, went home,

Silversmith residence

explained to his father what he had learned, gathered supplies into his backpack, and finally paused before leaving. He returned to his room, grabbed the locked box containing his transformation scarf, and set off. After searching and asking around, Silversmith discovered the whereabouts of the Stormchaser and took the next boat to Kanto, wincing at the fare he paid.

Vermillion city

Silversmith stood adjacent to the airship. It intimidated him, but the sunk cost fallacy kicked in, and he entered.

Stormchaser

Silversmith sought a crowd, and heard a bevy of voices in one direction. He saw no-one to assist him, so he walked towards the voices.

Stormchaser gym

Silversmith, dressed in jeans, a neutral colored shirt, and a backpack entered. The crowd of exotic figures, diverse pokemon, and odd characters bamboozled him, but he looked for familiar faces. He found one: Ian. Carefully avoiding everyone else, he weaved through the crowd.

Silversmith: "Ian! It's good to see you again. I'm woefully in the dark. Could you explain what's going on? I wish to assist the J-team in their endeavors."

Silversmith watched his back, and kept wary eyes on all present.

From what I could gather, this is supposed to be a stealth mission...
