They look away a bit, towards the fight.

Halsei: <...Oof, yeah, that's definitely not something I had to deal with on my own time. There wasn't a Golem there, just an Onix and a Geodude. Probably helps that Aran was Steel-type as well. Let her plow right through both of them with no problem, like leaves in the wind or a shovel to snow.>

Ren: Alright then!

-Ren turns and pulls out a pile of contracts, which basically offers a 6 digit annual salary and various health care benefits to work on a security team that specifically answers to Clavis Entertainment.-

Ren: I can't do anything about the legal guff, but there is nothing in these contracts that hold you to do anything more than you are willing to do. And I don't intend to ask you to do anything unrelated to our mission from Igor.

-Ren lays the contracts on the table along with some pens.-

Ren: Once everyone signs, we can decide what to do next.

St. Aldrich Manor, Bar - Past

Edouard: Well, it'd be a very boring world if we all did what we were supposed to do.

-He takes another sip of his wine.-

Edouard: So, do you have a plus-one, or were you just idly mingling in search of some handsome stranger such as myself?

-He follows Halsei's gaze and looks back down at the battle.-

Lucius: I mean, we hopefully won't end up going against a Golem. Again, this is your first real battle in a competitive setting, so I imagine we'll be facing... well, something similar to the team you faced first time around, probably.

Lamb smirked, looking at the way the sleeping security guard was handled. She turned to look at the security feed, powering off her mask as the two light sources would give her a headache.

"Is there a layout of the manor somewhere?" She asked. "We need to know possible escape routes."

Colton picked up a contract, looking it over quickly before he whistled, impressed. "Cushy," he summarized succinctly before he scribbled his signature.

"Eh, sorry. I'm, uh, Colton. Colton Kendall Rever," he introduced while looking behind himself after setting down the contract, slightly embarrassed, though he did pause to catch a glance at the one who called herself Corrin, recognizing her identity as the video game character. I'll get acquainted with them all well enough in due time.

-Golem jumps into the air, pulls its arms, legs and head into its shell, starts to spin, and rolls at Oshawittle the moment it hits the ground-

-Oshawittle notices the speeding boulder charging at him, but can't bring the Protect in from of him in time and gets sent flying-

Oshawittle: <I'm okay... I just wasn't expecting that...>

He was able to use Rollout as well!>

Me: Well, I want you to straighten yourself out, and when Golem rolls under you, land on it and use Swords Dance!

It's hard to tell if they're being sarcastic or not.

Lucius: Oh yeah, gym leaders have to wear earplugs and blacked-out contacts to insulate themselves from all audio-visual cues. I'm pretty sure it's in the League's charter.
