Colton eventually stood up from the table, walking away to get some more cake and wine.

He left Roy behind at the table, as well as the backpack, which he raided for the Prax Obscura and manilla folder. He furiously scratched away at a piece of paper while looking back at the big book. He needed something to keep his mind off of his caretaker’s crisis.

Either of them may have been noticed.

Reynard is taken aback, partially in glee, by the appearance of a diancie near him and his milotic.

Reynard: Whoa, Arceus, it's a diancie. I'd thought I'd never seem one alive. It's a pleasure to meet you, err...

He points the monopod's camera on the diance, making all three of them visible.

Reynard: Say, Hi!

-Kai's cheeks tint ever so slightly.-

Kai: Certainly not costumed crimefighting, we'll leave that to the Bronze Birds. I was thinking... well, your specialties certainly lie in vigilante work, but maybe something more whimsical might take us. Perhaps we'll just go and see where the wind leads us?
