-She then hears Palkia-

"Oh, good. Well, they'd probably be alright, but... nice to have the reassurance... yeah..."

"Welp, I'm going to go probably relax like a lazy bum until whenever we head to Alola."

"Unless I get bored and decide to follow Tagg while not doing anything of consequence, but oh well."

Sholto: -to Ray- "Oh, maybe just tell her she got caught up in a bit of things to while she was asleep briefly?"

-Sholto wakes up with a yawn and heads out to make a few final preparations-

-He sees Gamma reading something-

Sholto: <Hm, guess you're up, then.>

Gamma: <Indeed. Early to bed, early to rise and all that.>

Sholto: <Hm.>

<Well... with us moving on, I take it you'll be leaving soon?>

Gamma: <Yes. Though there is one thing I wanted to talk about first.>

Sholto: <What's that?>

-Gamma shuts his book-

Gamma: <While I most definitely will be going for a while, I also want to make it clear that I will be returning.>

Sholto: <Oh? You will?>

Gamma: <Indeed... While I have made myself clear that I am not comfortable with you as my trainer, I had a talk with Omicron and Alpha, to the... best of the latter's ability, and I feel that while I don't wish to travel with you as a trainer, I would be happy to do so as a colleague.>

Sholto: <Oh, yay, that works for me!>

Gamma: <Hm, good. Quite hopefully we'll have some years together in us. I suppose that's especially important, in a way.>

<At any rate, you are free to contact me, if you need me for anything, but don't necessarily expect me to drop everything like I would for a trainer.>

-Sholto nods-

Sholto: <Good by me. Enjoy... wherever it is you're going!>

-Gamma nods-

Gamma: <Thank you.>

-And then he heads outside and takes off-

-In the twelve days since the event at Spear Pillar, Diane has been plagued by nightmares. Memories of Lanius, of the horrible sights lining Celadon's streets, of her time in Orre, and her near demise beneath a singing spire of impossible red light claw their way back into her mind each night.-

-Skye and Alyssa have done their best to comfort her, but it's easier said than done.-

The Cathedral

-In the twelve days since the event at Spear Pillar, Vierr has returned. He has gazed into the Nexus, meditated, gone home, then returned to the site again, meditated again, gazed into the Nexus again, and again and again and again.-

-Annoski has been on his mind. The Aura Guardians have been on his mind. Constantin has been on his mind. Umbra, particularly the version he saw transform into Penumbra, has been on his mind. His ancestor, the original owner of the four Auric Artifacts, who appeared behind him in the final moments against the glitch, guiding his movements but always behind him so he could never see their face, has been on his mind.-

-At one point, he dropped his old Construct medium, a shabby wood carving vaguely resembling a hilt, into the Nexus, watching it tear the carving to pieces.-

-He's been obsessed.-

(Heahea City, Alola)

So, I had done it. It took two years of failure and then four years of slow progression and understand but I was now a Trainer and one with a level I could find acceptable. My Pokemon, all beloved by myself, were happy individuals, just like how the Vow so demands. I felt......at easy. Like I had completed one part of my trail to "evolve". Still, the completion of one thing leads to the emptiness. I pondered on this and I came to a conclusion: The Vow states that both man and Pokemon are such linked to the divine rule. I had created bonds with my Pokemon but I needed to learn about my fellow Trainers. Learn about new ways to handle and love your mon's. Gain new insight on the Vow through watching them and their Pokemon interact.

All of this I pondered while sitting in a chair at the beach, drinking one of those coconut cup drinks. Odd how somethings happen. I stood. Heart was building sandcastles with Grandma, Princess was taking in the sun, The Collective was playing in the water, Little Thug was kicking sand at Heart and running away from being doped slapped by G. Overall, it looked pretty normal.

Light: Ok everyone! Time to head out!

All of them lined up and allowed to be put into their Poke Balls......but I kept Heart out. He liked being out of his ball at times. Placing the timid thing on my shoulder, I walked off, hoping to meet new and interesting Trainers.......

Melemele Island — Hau'oli Outskirts

-Rose is wandering, looking at a map of the area. She stops and looks up from it, right in front of a certain beach-house-esque lab.-

Rose: ...This must be it, I guess. Not exactly the sort of thing I think of when I think of a lab, but oh well, I guess.

-She knocks a few times.-

-A few seconds pass.-

-Then a few more.-

-Then even more.-

-Just as Rose is about to shrug and turn back to return later, the door slooowly creaks open. A single wide brown eye belonging to a tan, brown-haired individual peeks out to look at Rose.-

???: Oh, no wonder you didn't just walk in, you're not Kukui.

Rose: No, I… guess you're not, either?

???: No, sorry, he's out doing… uh, stuff. Can I take a message?

Rose: Well, I actually wanted to meet with him—

-Another, significantly more boisterous voice chuckles behind her, and she whips around to see a man in a very notorious ab coat.-

Kukui: No need for a message, cousin, I'm right here. Come in, come in!

Rose: Oh, uh, hello. Not— not the sort of thing I expected you to be wearing…

-The individual opens the door the rest of the way, revealing herself to be a girl a few years younger than Rose, with her long, uneven hair pulled into a bun, and wearing a faded yellow t-shirt and navy blue sweatpants. Notably, her left arm is half missing, with only a bandaged stump at the elbow.-

Kukui: This is Scarlette, she's been a sort of assistant ever since my last one left.

Scarlette: Um, hey. You are…?

Rose: Oh, right, sorry. Rose Jaide. Or, er, just Rose.

Kukui: Nice to meet ya, Rose! All right then, what brings you here?

Rose: Well… It's a long story, at least about why I'm here in Alola, but I heard there was some sort of League being set up here?

-Kukui raises an eyebrow, grinning-

Kukui: Wow, word spreads quickly, looks like. Yeah, we're getting a League set up, but before anyone's even got a chance of facing 'em, they've gotta take the Island Challenge first!

Rose: Yeah, I knew there was something to it first. What do I need to do to get involved in that?

Kukui: Well, normally you couldn't, 'cause for a long time it was just for 11-year-olds, as a sorta coming-of-age thing, see? But you came at just the right time, 'cause me and the Kahunas finally made arrangements to open it up for the older crowd, too, after the last couple o' kids that went to do it.

-Kukui pauses, thinking.-

Kukui: Y'know, Scarlette was thinkin' about trying it out too. How about you two head up to Iki Town together?

-Scarlette sputters-

Scarlette: W-wait, I don't have any of my stuff ready!

Rose: I, uh, could wait, if you want. No rush, I don't have anywhere else to go any time soon.

Scarlette: ...Um… right. Okay, just, um, give me a moment.

-She rushes downstairs, leaving Rose and Kukui upstairs.-

Kukui: So, Rose, you got any Pokemon?

Rose: Oh, right— here, this is Domino.

-She takes out a Poke Ball and releases Domino, who flutters onto Rose's shoulder before looking around, then at Kukui.-

Domino: <...Don't you humans usually keep your shirts closed?>

-Kukui leans in to take a closer look at Domino-

Kukui: Oh, nice, a Shiny Spearow. Looks like he's been in a few battles in his time, but not much. Where's he from?

Rose: Johto. Somewhere near Azalea Town, I think.

Kukui: Nice place, Johto. The Indigo League's what inspired me to set up a League here, yeah!

Rose: Oh, cool. Does Scarlette have any Pokemon?

Kukui: Well, she's gonna get one from Hala up in Iki Town, but she's also got a Rockruff named Gus. Little guy's a pup from my own Lycanroc, if you'll believe it!

-Speaking of which, the Rockruff in question comes scurrying up the stairs, followed by Scarlette with a buttoned-up bag slung over her shoulder.-

Scarlette: Okay, I think I'm good to go. Uh, after you, I guess?

Rose: Well, er, I don't exactly know the way.

Scarlette: Oh, right, um, yeah! I-I guess you should follow me, then…

-She pauses awkwardly, before hurrying on out the door. Gus gives Rose an odd look before scurrying out after Scarlette, and Rose follows.-

Akala Island — Heahea City

-Meanwhile, a kid in a black tank-top and what seems to be a literal skull-cap, trying slightly too hard to look rough and rugged, approaches Light.

Skull Kid Team Skull Grunt: Hey, you! My boss told me to go harass someone, so it looks like today's your lucky day!

-He pauses.-

Team Skull Grunt: ...I am in the right place, right? She said a bunch of people were gonna show up on Melemele Island.

Phaz: Uh? Who's that...

??? I am a doctor. You've been sleeping quite a lot...

Phaz: A ...doctor? ...Why am i here?

He begins looking around the room. He's in a hospital bed, with one IV line starting from a pocket on his side and entering his left arm. In front of him, a white wall decorated with only a bland picture of the sea. On his left side, the IV sack holder and a table, on with are most of his stuff. On the right, near a closet, a brown man with black, curly hair and a doctor coat is checking something on his notepad.

Doctor: Someone found you washed out on the beach. They called an ambulance. You've had a lot of bruises, severe dehydration, and looked famished, so we put you into care. Now that you're okay... Do you remember anything? Let's start with the basics. What's your name?

Phaz: ...Ray Phazya... but everyone calls me Phaz.

Doctor: Any family? Pokemons?

Phaz: ...Mother, father, one sister named Amélie... As for the pokemons... A Chandelure named Ashley, a Gardevoir named Cynthia, a Larvitar called Embry and a Rotom named Volta.

Doctor: ...Right. It correlates with the official papers. But...

Phaz: ...But?

Doctor: The number of Pokemons are not correct. You don't have a Chandelure and a Gardevoir.

Phaz: ...What? I do. They should be with me...

Doctor: When that person found you, you only had two Pokeballs containing a Larvitar and a Rotom.

Phaz: ...No? They are here? Please tell me it's a joke. Please.

He becomes visibly distressed, scanning as much as he can the room he's in. He only sees Embry sleeping on a chair nearby and Volta drifting in his sleep

Doctor: ...You should try be stay calm ...I'm afraid... it's not.

Phaz loses his calm, as much as someone still weak can...

Doctor: Calm down! If you don't, i'll be forced to send back the one here to see you!

He calms down reluctantly

Doctor: Good. I was just checking on you, so don't exhaust yourself right now. Just... Stay calm. Your body needs to recover a bit longer.

He starts heading out.

Then stops a bit

Doctor: Oh and by the way... Don't you remember what happened before the accident?

Phaz: tries his hardest to remember ... Just some kind of blue blur...

Doctor: ...Alright. I'll leave you with the man. Don't get too emotionnal.

Phaz: ...Right. Sorry.

He waits till the doctor is out, then punch the nearest object.

The pillow on his right side.

He they starts to gently weep in the pillow, as to not wake up and be heard by his Pokemons.

Great, a Team Skull punk just spilled the beans that there going to assault someone. Most likely a new trail taker since Melemele Island has the first trail.

Light:......You do realize that your on the wrong Island right?

I didn't really want to fight this Grunt. As much as Team Skull was annoying, most of their members are just trouble children and other misfits. So, I picked the most appropriate action to make it past this Grunt.

Light: Oh Wow! Look at that Shiny Pokemon behind you!

Didn't think I'd be seeing this place again.

Cobalt: I'm not sensing Van Kleiss' presence, but we shouldn't stay for long.

Yeah, I just wanted to figure out if there was anything we could find about that thing here, which I'm glad we didn't fight during that gauntlet of past foes. It's been more than four years since, and we're still no closer to figuring out what it was.

Muddy: Are you sure we'd even find anything here in the first place? It did just appear right after we'd bested Van Kleiss out of nowhere, and then we ended up fighting it through several different universes.

Like an Aura signature, or something.

Muddy: After four years? All we've got is since then our Aura's looked a little different from when we fought it.

-Sighs-

Maybe you're right, but let's just comb over the area to make absolutely sure.

Opelucid Museum, PMD-B, present

Claydol: -Pointing at a gigantic Hydreigon skull- This once belonged to a massive Hydreigon that terrorized Opelucid more than 600 years ago before being destroyed through the efforts of Reshiram and Zekrom, as well as some brave fellow dragons. I actually happened to be a witness of the battle myself.

-To Draca and Hydreigon-

Say... you actually look a little like those dragons, but that's impossible, dragons do live a long time, but more than 600 is pushing it even for them.

Draca: Yeah... it's a really funny coincidence.

-As we move off-

Yet another thing I'm glad we didn't have to fight twice.

Vanilluxe: Are we gonna try visiting the universe this one was formed from?

Haven't decided yet, and we still need to map the rest of Unova's communities.

Muddy: What if something's happened in our home verse?

Well Echo can somehow contact us here so I'm sure if something happens she'll tell us about it.

Zachary wakes up floating in a dark empty void with a note on his hand.

Zachary: "Gruughgh...What happened?"

Zachary notices the note and starts reading out loud.

Zachary: "Dear, Zachary, if you're reading this it means you've woken up and you're most likely in a dark void, the others and I got lost in this void back during the Sunnyshore Incident and you've been unconscious since then, which is why we've set off in an attempt to find a way out of here, please don't worry for our safety...Your Starter, Ghiaccio."

Zachary reads over the note in his head and starts getting nervous as he looks around and notices he truly is alone.

Zachary: "...A-Am I...really alone? ....I-In this VERY dark place? ...GUYS!? ...Anyone?"

Zachary drops the note and curls up.

Zachary: "Am I stuck here forever?"

Suddenly, the Glitch is killed and the void arounds him seemingly disappears in an instant, revealing Zachary to be right in the middle of the ocean.

Zachary: "...Oh. Well, that at least solves one problem."

Zachary drops into the water and instantly panics as he tries to stay afloat.

Zachary: "BUT I STILL HAVE A TON OF THEM!"

Zachary tries to get the attention of a nearby boat until he finally tires out and starts sinking as he slips into unconsciousness once more....

Melemele Ferry Terminal, Present

...Until he suddenly regains consciousness in Hau'oli City and tries to stand up as some people try to restrain him, he struggles against them but ultimately gives up.

Man: "Don't tire yourself out, kid; you just regained consciousness, we don't want you to lose it again."

Zachary: "I-I'm sorry, sir...I'm just...Did by any chance the people who rescued me find at the very least one Pokéball near me?"

The men look at each other and one of them gets out an Ultra Ball.

Man: "They did find one—"

Zachary instantly grabs it and throws it, revealing the Pokémon inside to be Nack, who nonchalantly stretches his arms out and then looks at his surroundings confused.

Zachary: "Oh...It's just you, Nack..."

Nack: <The one and only!>

Zachary's face of disappointment quickly shifts into a smile as he hugs Nack, who's still confused.

Nack: <Uhh...Would you happen to know where we are?>

Zachary: "I, uh...I really...don't know?"

Man: "Hau'oli City, Melemele Island, Alola Region."

Zachary's eyes widen.

Zachary: "Excuse me, did you say...Alola?"

Man: "Yup."

Zachary slowly stands up and, with some minor difficulty, regains balance as he picks Nack up.

Zachary: "...Alola...Well, this is our best shot at finding them...Nack, we have a mission."

Nack: <Sure, whatever.>

Zachary looks around, gulps, and then walks off in a random direction, hoping to find some answers.

Any thoughts? I was hoping to be the first to do this but it seems others already have :P, I just kinda like to make up explanations for what happens to Zachary during my periods of inactivity and I also wanted to reference the infamous Void glitch from D/P

Rose: Honestly? Hell if I know. I'd love to have some sort of answer, but... not a clue.

Scarlette: You don't remember...?

Rose: Not one bit. I've barely got any sort of memory past the last couple years, really.

Scarlette: You're a Faller too?

-Rose blinks-

Rose: A what?

Scarlette: A, uh... Faller. We— Fallers apparently are people that get sent through wormholes and end up losing some, if not all of their memories. I, um... I'm one of those.

Rose: ...Huh. Well, as far as I'm aware, I didn't get wormholed anywhere, but who knows?

-Scarlette tilts her head.-

Scarlette: And it... doesn't bother you? That you don't remember?

Rose: I mean, yeah, it bugs me from time to time, but what matters is how I am now, right?

Scarlette: ...Right. Uh. Anyway, town's right up this way.

-She waves her half-missing arm in a way that, if she still had all of it, might have been to grab Rose's, but she quickly passes it off into a "this way!" gesture before rushing off to Iki Town-

-She was pacing. It was really the only reasonable response to being told that she had to cancel a concert tour she had been planning and organizing for months just because the guy she wanted to play keytar had just started getting news of the J-Team going there or planning to go there and was adamant against going just for that. At least until he just burst into the room holding a suitcase and the tickets she had brought over for him-

We need to go to Alola. Can't keep the fans waiting.

-He was looking... Was there a word between well-kept and ragged? He had kept care of himself in the past week but he was suddenly looking anxious and far too eager to go-

Susan: What? What's with the change of heart?

I... I realized how auspiciously this tour ties into my favorite sect of Legendary worship. Sun, song and... Something about time there's a lot of history on those islands. Now can we get moving before we have to cancel a showing?

-This was... Very suspicious. Intensely suspicious and she wasn't going to stand for it-

Susan: No. Tell me what has you spooked first and then we'll consider leaving.

-There's a few seconds, Pent looks to the door and his luggage and then back to Susan-

It's a long story, you may want to sit down.

Akala Island — Heahea City

I face plamed. This Grunt is......well, a Grunt. And by that, I mean dumb. Still, I also knew that a Team Skull member of any rank was stubborn as a Mudbray.

Light: Ok, your on the wrong island. This is Akala Island. Second off, since I know why your going there, I'll tell you where it's located.

-Light points at the Rhyperior-

Light: Now my friend, I don't want anyone to get hurt here but I sense that you don't mind getting someone hurt and that's a real shame. So, I'll offer you this choice: you walk away and clean yourself up. There's alot of places where you can find a job. Orrrrrrrrr, I'm sure that this Rhyperior over here will just love to show you the way. I think you know the good choice here but sometimes we all make the wrong choice, so take your time.

I rolled my eyes. Great. Now he was just going to go to Melemele Island and help his pals harm a human or a Pokemon. I frowned at that thought. But I then turned my attention to Locke and my face relaxed into a friendly smile.

Light: Thanks for that. I could have battled them but I figure just making his pants slightly more brown in color was a better choice. I'm Light, Alolan local and Trainer. Glad to make your acquaintance.
