-the two look around; between them, every mon (plus one trainer's Lunatone) on Route 14 fainted-

-they stare into each other's eyes for a while. Nightshade fiddles with her flowers-

Scarlett: I am. I'm absolutely sure.

-more silence-

Nightshade: Was there any music when you were dancing?

Scarlett: No, actually.

-the two hear this song from somewhere-

-the two dance while the chorus breaks out, completely happy with each other and the world-

-five minutes later, a group of Altaria finish singing-

Altaria 1: Alright! That was a great job, you guys, and I mean it!

Altaria A: I knew that this a capella group was a good idea!

Altaria 2: It wasn't your idea, and you know it. It was the shiny gold one's.

Altaria B: Shut up, Enrico. You're jealous that you didn't get the solo.

I say we leave them here, there's good enough security here with the guards, not to mention Reshiram and Zekrom higher up and the fact I doubt they'd just let us leave with the Orbs. Yes, I sensed their presence the whole time. >_>

Well, this guy Parisse's Tyranitar went around beating up mons for calling him short and we ended up fighting nearly every mon on the island because we couldn't exactly let them kill him. Of course during the fight we woke up the volcano and then I had to go seal it, which was why we got banished in the first place.

We continued for a bit, with everyone else focused on following the path I had an opportunity to admire the scenery...

Of course by the time realization hit that just because humanity as a species was gone didn't mean their weapons weren't, the world from my point of view had descended into a swirling mess of flying ground, wood splinters and fighting. By the time I came to, there wasn't much left alive.

Drake: ~Cough~ Ambush... Should of realized...

I probably should of played dead, because the selfsame Aipom who had thrown that stupid device was right in front of me.

Humon!Aipom: <Huh, the butcher of Hoenn. I should probably capture you for ransom... But you just aren't worth it>

And with a swift set of Fury Swipes to my chest, the world went black again.

<We had just left Lavender Town via Route 8.>

<A bit along the way, we were challenged by a trainer named Jay.>

<She challenged us to a one-on-one against me specifically.>

<As I was sent out, she sent out... him...>

<Anyone else would tell you he looked innocent, but don't let them fool you, he was pure evil.>

<He came at me with an open palm that stung like nothing I had never experienced and left me unable to move.>

<I was shaking and there was nothing I could do against him.>

<He came after me again with a strong arm that came crashing down and knocked me out.>

<I was too weak to do much else, but I remember being picked up and squeezed hard before I was eventually called back to my ball.>

<I later found out she was trying to steal me.>

<But after that, I was too scared to battle for a while in case something like that would happen again...>

I can certainly see how that would traumatize you.

However, that seems to be a problem you have with Conkeldurrs, rather than Fighting-types in general.
