Just came across this video of an Arc System Works created Dragonball / One Piece crossover.
It's made of of two separate games they created: Dragonball Z Extreme Butoden and One Piece The Great Pirate Colloseum.
I think I remember hearing about how the games were compatible years ago in one of the anime threads for One Piece and Dragonball, but it's pretty interesting to learn Arc Sys has done a One Piece game already.
I wonder if they might be tapped to do one for non portable (or whatever you consider the Switch, since it's both) systems?

I also love that fighting games don't give a shit about power levels. You wanna fight Goku with Usopp? You can do that.
It does make me wish Arc would try a big-platform One Piece game though. The franchise is probably bigger then ever. Also, on the fighting game side, I think fighting game fans just LIKE good fighting games, so if it was solid enough, it might still attract that crowd.

For the folks not familiar with the Fate mythos, yes, Ushiwakamaru's usual attire really is just assorted bits of armor and a pair of blue panties (or is it a bikini bottom?)
And no, I can't say for sure if there's a deeper meaning to it besides fanservice, but hey, the option is yours now.
I didn't even realize Ushi had a new outfit for that game. Considering how many frames needed to be redrawn that is one modder dedicated to their horniness.
Amazing what people tried to get working with such limited hardware.

Not even stars last forever.I'd like some advice on how to implement something as a mechanic in a team game.
In One Piece, Sanji has the ability to sense when his allies are in danger and he has a habit of doing dynamic rescues where he flies in, attacks the opponent to save his ally, and takes over fighting the opponent in their place. He has multiple named attacks which he only uses to rescue allies.
To me, that sounds like some kind of counter special move/Super which only activates when his ally is on stage and is attacked, then Sanji switches in with an attack to save them. But I have no idea how that could be implemented in a fighting game.
Seems easy enough to add in. Tag Team Fighting games have a dedicated button or button combination meant for the tag off, and already have mechanics for a Dynamic Entry. So if "Switch" is A+B, and Forward+A+B is "Switch while attacking" then Sanji could be unique where he could have "Switch into a super" with like Quarter Circle+A+B.
Make it his assist in a team game. If you continue to hold the button, he stays in and your point character tags out.
I took the Sanji advice and implemented it.
This is one of the most fucked up fighting game characters I've ever seen:
His special moves are FOUR RANDOMLY SELECTED CARDS out of a THIRTY CARD DECK and he has THREE DIFFERENT DECKS!

Invalidation of a character's gender is not allowed. It doesn't matter that they are fictional characters and there is nothing wrong with people defending a character's gender identity.
In any case, discussion on how art on other sites regarding certain characters is categorized and the drama surrounding it isn't on topic so let's drop this.
