Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I wanted Demon's Souls so bad,but I was not about to put up $300 bucks for a PS 3 just to get it. Thankfully Dark Souls is coming to 360. YAY!
"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemNew trailer. That armour at about 0:50 looks awesome, I hope the stats match its looks :P
Preparing myself by renting demon's souls again.
Effin..Blue...Dragon ._.
Guess I better get some Kunais or a bow...
Sweet jesus, that game is coming out in less than a week and I still don't have platinum in Demon's soul. Rush time !
Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.Me neither :( I really wanted to platinum it as well. I blame Deus Ex: Human Revolution for sucking up all my time for a couple of weeks. Then again, it was going to take me at least one more playthrough to get all the spells. And I'm really not looking forward to having to get PBWT on world 5-2 to fight BP Selen to get the last unique weapon :( Not to mention farming stones to get the best of each upgrade path.

Dear god, she was a bitch in that. I wonder what the dev thought. "Hey, let's put the chick with the weapon that ignore shield in the world where player can't roll. I'm sure they'll find that HILARIOUS."
I still need to finish 2 playthrough to get all the achievement, but now it'll be straightforward enough, I already got all the weapons/rings/upgrades* so I can just speed run through all the level. world 5 still scares me tho.
Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.She can't be much worse than the giant depraved ones, or the Meat Cleaver Black Phantom. Shields aren't much use against them either. You just have to try to stick to land. I think the way forward is to get blue a phantom helper. I'm with you on World 5 being hateful though, I died three times in 5-1 on this playthrough (my third). Lost 75,000 souls. I never had a great deal of trouble in that level before. It's a good thing the bosses are relatively easy in World 5, only the Leechmonger has ever killed me, and that was only the one time on my first try.
As for stones, I have trouble finding all the kinds. Like I said, I'm on the third playthrough, but I still haven't collected enough shards of spiderstone to fully upgrade my sticky bow. Weird thing is, I have plenty of spiderstone chunks, which are supposedly rarer
Anyone actually still playing Demon's Souls right now? Want to play co-op sometime? My soul level is 141, or thereabouts. My PSN name is also artfulscruff.

I'm not bothering to go platinum.
Pretty happy with my Blessed gear +5.
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchI would play with you, but my soul level is 216 (you get a LOT of souls when you're farming for pure Bladestone and your method includes SoulSucker and a Black Phantom Skeleton.)
And I'm still trying to finish world three. Maneater is hard as hell even at SL 216 O_o I also refuse to use the exploit against him, so I'm fighting both of the bastards.

I'm just so glad Dark Souls is coming to 360.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I've never actually beaten Maneater solo. I'm ashamed to say I have used the exploit as well :( The first time I did it just to see if it would work, and I would have been happy to forgo it on my third playthrough, but the blue phantom I was with was a bit of a Leeroy Jenkins, and he started using the exploit before I could do anything about it. And then when we did go in he fell off the edge within ten seconds (something I've never actually done in that battle, miraculously).
I do hate it when you're playing with a blue phantom and they go charging ahead. If I'm the phantom, I stick with the host, and go at their pace.
Also, PS Ners feel free to add me if you're getting Dark Souls as well, I'm usually up for some co-op action.
I'd be on PSN if Sony hadn't added a "you can't sue us ever" clause to the TOS.
Infinite Tree: an experimental story
Please do not bring that into this thread.
So, anyone know where I could find a FAQ or something that describes all the features of this game? It seems similar to what I saw of Demon's Souls, but I never got to directly experience it. Wikipedia is being useless here, so I'd thought I'd ask you guys first.
EIGHT GLORIOUS SIDEShttp://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/About+Dark+Souls
Enjoy.
" Being a Gravelord's servant allows you to invoke the gravelord ability, which consists of you placing a soul sign of your own on the ground. This soul sign will appear in 3 other player's worlds, wherever you sat the sign down. It is in the best interest for players to hide the soul sign to avoid what I'm about to mention. While the gravelord is invoked, black phantom monsters (upgraded versions of already difficult creatures) will be summoned in 3 other worlds.
The reason for invoking the gravelord isn't to gain humanity. Invasions are. When using the gravelord, if a player dies while under the effect of it, his blood stain will be robbed of half of his souls, all of which are given to the gravelord. If a player finds the soul sign of the gravelord, he can invade the gravelords world and kill him, thus freeing all 3 worlds of the curse. To be frank, all 3 players can invade at the same time, which makes the gravelord very risky, abeit extremely fun"
That idea is AWESOME

If they allow the Purple Phantom* and random Red Phantom at the same time, this means you can potentially be invaded by 5 player O_o
The more I hear about this game, the more I like it.
Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.... I might need a villainous character just for that.
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchI'm having a hard time getting my head around all that I imagine it'll all be clear in-game.
If I'm understanding all this right, it sounds like I might actually be invading other people's games. I never did in Demon's Souls, since I'm not terribly good at Pv P I didn't consider the risk to be worth it, but it sounds like there's more potential award to be got from screwing other players here, without having to worry about messing up my character tendency. I think.

Sounds simple. You set a mark and go out your merry evil way. Soon you get a notification that your guy killed them and you get half their souls they carried on them.
Or soon you see a phantom invade your ass and he tries to kill YOU, because he found your mark and used it to enter your world.
Here's a good article covering Michael Mc Whertor's first "24 Hours In Hell" for Dark Souls. CANNOT WAIT.
