Reviewed it. Mind if I keep going? I'm a cynical bastard so don't expect much optimism.

You know, I always have an old ruby version on me. I might try and nuzlocke that, since I know it like the back of my hand.

Hmmm. I've been thinking of doing of Nuzlocke run recently. I'll probably do a Gen III game, perhaps Fire Red or Ruby.

I've finished a Nuzlocke on Leaf Green in game (which I'm cheap enough to get my sister to draw a comic for me ), doing a silver and a blind black Nuzlocke . . . it's not going that well :|

Also Calamity Jane that looks awesome! Put it on the forums to get more viewers :)

I would put it there, but I'm kinda scared since I've never been there before :'D

Got my first casualty last night.

Eli the Butterfree: Lvl 2/3-22.

Died to some damn Clefable/Wigglytuff. I hate that pair of trainers there. Always have. And now I hold a grudge against them.

Other than that, though, I'm doing pretty well. I love my Geodude. He got over his Attraction to Whitney's Miltank three turns in a row and proceeded to murder it with two Magnitude 9's and a Magnitude 8.

And after Eli died, I put in Diana, my other Flying type, and he killed the Clefable and Wigglytuff.

Porter the Pidove died at the hands of a Woobat. But at least I have a Roggenrolla! ;_;

And my Growlithe died too.

So now I'm lugging around a Koffing I just caught. I don't know who to put in!

Well, here goes. Good bye Ruby Version, my old friend. You have been very good to me, providing the very staple of my pokédex and the start of my journey.

Prepare to get...nuzlocked...

guys...I'm scared.

Y'know, I predicted Eli would be the first dead.

Didn't think Dorada would go so quickly, though. Just 14-16. Meganium killed her. : (

Still searching for a replacement. I'm thinking going up above Mahogany to catch a Girafarig or Flaaffy, then evolve my Eevee into Espeon or Jolteon, depending on which one I catch.

I am a sad. Lost ALL OF MY POKEMON except the starter to Elisa. They were all 2 levels or more over her Emolga, but... :(

Luckily I have enough other Pokemon to form a new team...

My old team was: Pignite, Whimsicott, Daramuka, Tranquil, Dwebble, and Herdier.

My new team is: Pignite, Gothita, Yamask, Ducklett, Audino, and Trubbish.

Likely a more BALANCED team (darn you first catch only rules), but... :(

OK. My Nuzlocke Run will be:

• Box the pokémon. Will release if theyl ook too tempting to use just this once and never again I swear for realz yo.
• White-out will be game over, because by that point, I don't think I'll be too keen in continuing my game.
• One Gender Run. Girl. Since I do this normally, I figured it would be interesting to put it here.
  • Event pokémon such as Wynaut and the fossils MUST be girls, or they are auto-dead. I am allowed 2 save scums to get a girl, but if it is still a boy by that point, it is permanently boxed.
  • My starter is excluded from this, and the Nuzlocke run will start once I get a girl.
• Shiny Run. If I see a shiny, I fucking catch that bitch, no questions asked.
• No bought healing items. Findable ones and pickup may be abused.
• Unfamiliar Starter. Mudkip. I have never used it before, at least not really. This will be fun.
• Thematic Nicknaming: I will name them after something related, so I really REALLY won't want them to die, cause then the theme will break. Unsure which theme to follow.
• Legendaries may be caught— but only if they are the first pokémon I run into in their abode

So! I've not played for a week or two because of huge final projects and coming exams.

Also, Cityface is dead. I was in mourning for two days. I pulled myself together and beat two more gyms [my team is in limbo around 4 members with new ones constantly dying] I'm currently at the Rockets hijacking the radio stage but picking it up again for a little bit will be a pain in the ass...

I'm just worried in the three weeks [when the exams will be done] I'll have sort of lost most of the sentimentality for the remaining pokemon.

Advice?

Heck yeah! Brawly is down with no losses! It probably wouldn't have been so heart pounding if I had just used Counter instead of Triple Kick for when he sent out Meiling. Although, since Meiling's Dynamic Punch did hit and sent Elly to critical health with confusion, I probably still would have been absolutely terrified. His first two were absolute jokes though.

That's two tough gym battles without losses and only two losses total.

Attempting a Nuzlocke Run of Platinum.

Rules:

• A fainted pokemon must be released, or permanently boxed if you so choose. This pokemon is DEAD, no ifs ands or buts.
• You may only catch the FIRST pokemon you see in each area. This means each route, cave, town, or building. Connected routes count as separate areas. This DOES NOT include repeat visits. If the pokemon faints or flees, too bad for you, it's gone, you used up your chance for that route.

Self-imposed rules:

• No trading, through wi-fi, with yourself, or with an NPC. The NPC rule may be changed.
• White/black out means you are DEAD. Whether or not you have more mons in the box.
• No T Ms

Alternate just-for-fun rules:

• One gender run. You may only catch the first pokemon you see of the same gender as your trainer, no gender pokemon are considered both and must be caught if they are the area's first. Starters and gifts are allowed to be different.

How is the first pokemon rule supposed to work in a double trainer zone (where 2 pokemon appear)? Can you catch either pokemon? Neither? Just the one that is named first? Not that I really need another bug pokemon...

I'm currently trying a blind run on Pearl. Standard rules, plus the unique species rule (so I don't end up with 3 geodudes and 4 bidoofs). No casualties yet, but I think I either need to be more defensive or grind more because I've almost lost a couple. And for the record, I already hate confusion, moves that sometimes always inflict status problems and the crit mechanics.

I don't have the unique pokemon rule, but I have managed to catch an Abra and a Budew, giving me a potentially cool team with my Piplup if I grind enough.

Incidentally, did you know that Burn cuts attack like Paralyze does speed?

The one that is named first, I'd imagine.

Burn does indeed Cut attack. I learnt it and used Reynardine as a Burn Shuffler since.

Alright I've decided to Nuzlocke Emerald.

Rules:

• Pokemon centres only, no items. Rest houses allowed.
• No trading, through wi-fi, with yourself.
• No duplicates, if you caught a mon already and another is the first on the route, you may try again. Freaking Zigzagoon.
• Shiny run. If you happen to find a shiny, you are allowed to catch it. Not that it'll happen.
• No freebies. That means no eevees, no eggs, no lapras.
• No breeding.
• Also going to allow myself to reset once if I don't like my starter's nature.

Budew, Level 14;

Abra, Level 11.

Psyduck, Level 5 (YES)

Current casualties:

Rotto, my Level 9 Bidoof, killed by a Zubat that critted her with a Leech Life :(

Lattin, my Level 5 Bidoof, killed by another Bidoof, Level 4 :(

Oh yeah, I also decided to use the shinies rule when I ran into a gold Geodude. Not that I'm going to use them (if I can avoid it).

My team:

• Lvl 17 Prinplup (Pound, Metal Claw, Bubble, Peck)
• Lvl 15 Geodude (Magnitude, Rock Throw, Rock Polish, Rock Smash)
• Lvl 12 Zubat (Leech Life, Supersonic, Astonish)
• Lvl 14 Staravia (Double Team, Growl, Quick Attack, Wing Attack)
• Lvl 16 Machop (Low Kick, Foresight, Focus Energy, Karate Chop)
• Lvl 11 Kricketune (Growl, Bide, Fury Cutter)

Almost lost my Piplup to [Rival]. I was planning on growling his Turtwig's attack to nothing and beating it with my Starly, then noticed part way through my plan that it didn't have a Grass attack yet (). Nearly lost when he got 3 crits (which ignore his stat losses). Saved it with a potion.

Rock gym was easy (4x weakness to water). Got cocky and nearly lost my Geodude and Machop to Mars' Purugly. 1 Crit would have finished them.

I just got my first casualty :<

It was a Poochyena named Mononoke.

This sucks.

I don't wanna lose her.

All I have now are 2 zigzagoons, a marshtomp, a taillow and a cascoon.

I want my poochyena back.

...I just lost Scarry my cascoon.

Calm down! You'll make it through this. I know you will.

But I don't wanna. I just wanna cheat and pretend it never happened. ;_;

They were the pokémon I was looking forward to raising the most. I've raised a taillow and zigzagoons have always been a good HM slave, but I've never bothered to raise a wurmple, let alone one that was gonna be a dustox, and definitely not a poochyena...

And...and...

And now I never will. I think I'm about to cry.
