This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Huh, maybe this means this is indeed a different Miguel from the one of 2100.
There was an attempt at rebooting Miguel ten years ago too, which ultimately got ignored when he was brought back in 2013
What's the problem with Miguel's current origin? It's not bad at all.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Amazing Mary Jane#3 was fun, Cloak and Dagger could have a future in fast food delivery

Black Cat #7 - So am I to believe that Odessa has feelings for Felicia?
Symbiote Spider-Man: Alien Reality was...most alien
Spider-Mobile returns to prominence, Hobgoblin is sorceror surpreme, and Black Widow is both the Black Cat and Peter's girlfriend...I wonder if PAD has read the newspaper strip? (in a 2015 arc, Mary Jane suspected Natasha had a thing for Peter, though Natasha denied this)
Over in Spider-Man 2099 It's a reboot for Miguel, but he has 'raptures', aka memories of the original 2099 timeline, and he runs into an elderly version of himself
I’m really loving the “slice of life” in the Marvel Universe type tone of TAMJ. I would love to see more like it.
Like imagine a series of unrelated oneshots, just following random civilians in MU New York City, trying to go about their day, while crazy superhero stuff is happening.

Amazing Mary Jane might have a sixth issue in March...Bleeding Cool posted an article yesterday saying they were told not to expect one then, but have taken the article down.
Noice.
The film lost its Spider-Man actor, and replacing him with Peter feels too obvious, so I'm guessing MJ might bring in Ben or Kaine.
Using Ben would be ironic since noticing he wasn't the same old Spiderman was what made Quentin say screw and go fight Daredevil instead. Quentin having to deal with that would be interesting.
One Strip! One Strip!also ben thought he turned evil completely when he killed mysterio's daughter had betrayed and hurt her dad. of course it turns out the daughter was a robot but still beck and ben probably wouldnt work well together
I read the solicitation for March's Spider-Verse#6
I'm kind of bummed that Spider-Verse will conclude with Spiders dying...the series has felt like filler, but it's been fun, so I wasn't expecting it to have casualties, especially since Noir is getting revived in the same event
I wonder who's going to bite it? Obviously they want you to worry about Annie, but what if her parents die? I don't want another F-U to the spider-marriage as JJ and Henry Abrams Spider-Man already widowed their version of Peter Parker...
Perhaps that's why the Spider-Sonas exist in this issue...for them to be cannon fodder for the event. I can't imagine their creators being too happy their Spiders are made sacrificial lambs though.
Hopefully we also get an update on MC 2 Peter Parker and if his Other powers come into play here, and whether or not he's now reunited with Mayday.
OMD spoofed in today's Amazing Spider-Man One potential future Peter observes with Lyla is of him making another deal with Mephisto to defeat Doctor Doom, and it ends with both him and Doom being tortured in hell
Details!
The Protomen enhanced my life. It's mostly played for laughs than anything serious, but Peter is trying to work out the best way to defeat Doctor Doom without getting him or Teresa killed, and observes other timelines with the clairvoyant device and Lyla as a guide. Other outcomes involving suiting up in a mech-suit or throwing a propane truck at him, and then there's a future where he could just sort it out via another devil deal, but that too goes wrong and he winds up in hell with Doom. Lyla convinces Peter to just tell Doom the truth, that he was set up by the countess, Hitman, and Chameleon. Doom backs off from Spidey, but then the Doombots are hacked into by the Countess, go nuts and commit acts of terror on New York

According to History of Marvel#6 there is a Fate of Mephisto event coming in the future.
Right, took me about three goes to wrap my head around Miguel's timeline, but He wound up in the past, finding Tempest and their baby. Lived happily with her, grew to an old age and wound up back in the now rebooted version of the year 2099, where a younger rebooted version exists, and he tells him to basically recreate the experiment that turned him into Spider-Man so he can rescue Gabe and lead a resistance against Doom
It seems like all of the 2099 one shots are reboots that references what is currently happening in the main universe. Ghost Rider 2099 shows Johnny Blaze is still the king of hell, while Venom 2099 has the symbiote bond to a new host and reveal that Knull is alive and somewhere on that version of Earth.
What's up with the JJ and Henry Abrams version of Spider-Man?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. So Mary Jane is back in New York in the sixth issue of her ongoing, and her being pals with Mysterio will be an issue for her and Peter. Glad to see them following up on the consequences of that.
It was apparently confirmed on twitter that Marvel are aiming to give Amazing Mary Jane ten issues.
. Go MJ!
The fact that every attempt to write her out of the book have only helped solidify her popularity with the fanbase, will never not be funny to me.

And as I read that, I fully expect the Gwen Stacy comic to bomb.
I don't know if she was really as hated as Jack claimed, but it's clear she's always going to be second to MJ in the fans eyes.
Barring alternate takes like Spider Gwen that is.
One Strip! One Strip!
...why reboot his origin? Does this have something to do with Spencer's ASM?
PAGETOPPER EDIT: Huh, dont think I've gotten one of these before
